I have the 3T. It was all worth it, loading speed is randomly faster, wasn't expecting that. I fit all my games on it and have 2T left. I will recommend this because it solves a lot of problems storage space and other things but, yeah!

So I recently installed a 8tb and everything worked but had sleep mode issues which is not the nyko unit fault but Sony will need to put a update that supports sleep mode for higher capacity drive So I suggest you get a 4tb but anything 4tb+ might have problems with boot up times but this is NOT A NYKO UNIT problem, this a Sony limitation of the current PS4 firmware

I have this with a 2TB hybrid drive. It's faster than a regular HDD, still pretty inexpensive, and ALLOT less than an equivalent SSD. Load times are more tolerable with a hybrid HDD, but I thought there was a cap @ 4TB with the PS4?... My God, 6TB??? WOW!!! And I really don't mind waiting on load screens like some. It gives me time to relax my hands and get ready for what happens next...

6Tb hard drive for almost $300. I got my external 5Tb hard drive for only $129. I could just buy two of these and get 10Tb and still not make it to $300. I used an Xbox One if you didn't know. Nyko finally solved PS4's storage issue but added more issues like over heating and increase in size.

You don't need to upgrade Xbox one hard drive. Because it has multiple external hard drives support. Can use 3 at the same time. You can use more if use a USB adaptor.

Just an update to anyone looking to increase storage in 2018. You can now use a USB 3 external hard drive with PS4 simply using a single cable. Up to 8TB.
Here is the rest mode fix. on your Ps4 useing Dongcoh Game Bar or Nyko Data Bank Step 1. go to Power Save Settings.Step 2. Then go to set features available in rest mode . check the box that says keep application suspended. and thats it your rest mode will work

I already did this last month for my PlayStation 4 Black Ops 3 Bundle. Everything is going good. One problem, when I turn off the PS4 the controller pairing is lost. I can turn on PS4 with controller then have to pair again. I emailed the makers of this and said that I am the 1st with this problem. Other than that I don't use Rest Mode, I just turn off PS4 when done. I purchased it on amazon with a 2 year warranty.

I honestly just bought the the same data bank because you made it sound awesome and it sounds like you gave it a good review... I took it to get it installed got it back today which is May 9.... It made my ps4 laggy it turns off by itself and it doesn't install my games I was so excited to try it out but it was a disappointment... For this reason I gave the video a thumbs down and I'm never going to buy anything you do a review on....sorry
I think your ps4 is the older model. If it is, then ours still has a limit at 2TB.
Lew mentioned in the end of the video that if your PS4 is the older model, it may malfunction a bit. Don't say you weren't warned.

Sorry for late reply. I have right now A 2TB 2.5 ich sata Internal Hard Disk Drive and its made by Seagate. Of course its a laptop hard drive. I found this is fry's it was really hard to find(i don't order online).

I got my external 5Tb hard drive for only $129. I could just buy two of these and get 10Tb and still not make it to $300.

SSD will be the fastest but they won't have as much storage space so depending on the games you want to play that may be the best route.

Here is the rest mode fix. on your Ps4 useing Dongcoh Game Bar or Nyko Data Bank
Step 1. go to Power Save Settings.Step 2. Then go to set features available in rest mode . check the box that says keep application suspended. and thats it your rest mode will work

You could do this so much easier with just a power and data sata extension cable. And if you want it to look pretty, just fabricate an external attachment a lot smaller than that monolith.
I already did this last month for my PlayStation 4 Black Ops 3 Bundle. Everything is going good. One problem, when I turn off the PS4 the controller pairing is lost. I can turn on PS4 with controller then have to pair again. I emailed the makers of this and said that I am the 1st with this problem. Other than that I don't use Rest Mode, I just turn off PS4 when done. I purchased it on amazon with a 2 year warranty.
