I got a pair of these for my kid. First day after using it, the upper one kept poping off. Went to the orthodont after the weekend, made some adjustment, and it stayed on after. But by the time i got home from work, it keeps poping off again, my kid says he didn’t do anything. Is there anything i can adjust at home? I’m really embarassed going back to the orthodont again, in such short time.
Don't be embarrassed you paid for it, and your orthodontist is only there to help you should sick for help and advice. Because obviously staying quiet will just not help the cause.

No, it is not useful to adults. Your orthodontist would have said you needed one as a kid. Since you are an adult, your jaw has fused together so it's pointless. Also, you can only have them installed by an orthodontist and they would likely say the same thing.
This thing is just waste of money .. for jaw growth try mewing or go have a surgery .. a palate expander will not widen ur face but it will give u an overbite for sure
I know what you are saying. I have an upper one and a bottom one as well. The upper one is kinda like a metal spider and is not that hard to keep( i'm sorry that is hard for you) The hardest one is the bottom one.
Hi Alexandra, from your experience is it the upper, lower or both appliances that would do this and why is it they would? Surely the lower jaw joint remodels as it moves along with the mandible itself?

I am 45 and I have 2 problems that I would like to resolve. First is over the past few years my front lower teeth have become crowded and crooked. The second is they look as though they are being pushed inward like they are falling down.
I am 31 and got exaclty the Same happening it Looks Like Even my speech is going downwards and my tounge leans on top of the “falling” teeth , i am searching the internet because I want to let it fixed . Did you have anything happened yet? Because I See ur comment was 8 Months ago
I have this but I cant chew I had this for about 6months before I changed to a better orthodontist, and she said that I didn't need it in the first place, and that I just needed a few extractions and braces 🤔 I am now with the braces and have been quite satisfied with how straight my teeth are in such a short time
@@Shantanu96__I just eat as is and avoid foods that I know would get stuck, if there is food stuck, I always bring a small toothbrush with me to pop it off and clean it.
@@FaveTunesI'm 16, my dentist told that expanders are only possible if the bones on the roof of your mouth are not completely fused together, slowly with age it fuses. I think you might be too far off

Yeah I’m the same!!! It’s why I’m gonna get braces again, I also spent an amount of time pushing my teeth forward with my tongue lol!

Yeah pushes the lower jaw forward while pulling the jaw joints out of the socket, smart.

With expansion of lower jaw the back molar teeth will find more space and erupt properly and hence the jaw will move forward . Smart
