- The Carriere® Motion™ Appliance is used for Class II patients, to correct Class II at the beginning of the treatment, before braces or aligners are placed. The appliances simplicity and ease-of-use add up to more predictable results and overall shorter orthodontic treatment time. Plus, patients to have less time in braces making the Motion Appliance a real game changer!

Though your exhibit shows a dental class 2 there is a significant mandibular retrognathia. Correction of the "dental issue" ignores the skeletal imbalance and potential airway issues.
So satisfying to watch.
trust me wear your elastics i was supposed to have this for 9 months but cut it down to 5
I have it right now. It works really good!!! I hate my teeth so much and I can see a difference after only 1.5 month. It really worth the inconvenience, and it doesn't hurt so much..
Sharon Edri has your side profile changed btw ?

Hi! How long did you have the appliance on over all?
At what age did you get it?
@@haleyschwanke1360 I had mine for any 6 mths
Exactly what I needed 😩
Um getting my braces tomorrow. Super excited 😌
I have a question I need an answer 😩
I have bracies on and I’m wondering Does Bracies make my teeth look bigger at the end After taking them off or not ? 🤔my teeth are small I don’t like them small.🥲
Isn’t that it moves the lower jaw forward?
I just got mines on last weekend and am wearing it in conjunction with Invisalign. in detail, my top front four teeth plus all of my lowers have invisalign and my canine to first molar have the Carriere devices. I think my Ortho is very smart. She must be aware that the lower molars could shift with the device, hence why I stared a month of invisalign first. She also notice I could straighten my first four while the Carriere is making space. Cant wait to witness the results!
Could you please give us a progress update? I'm also getting it next month with Invisalign (I have severe crowding and an overbite). There doesnt seem to be a lot of cases using this so I'm really curious to see how it's worked for other people
Hi.. please tell us the update
@@ExploreAwesomeness I'm done! It all worked out in the end. I had the device on for about 6-8 months (being older your teeth are stubborn) then full invisalign afterwards.
@@isaacball123 can you please share if you had to remove your upper wisdom teeth? and can you please tell us how old you are? I have a serious overbite and crowding.. and wondering if Carriere will work for me without needing to take out my wisdom teeth!
I am going through the same process . Can you share your update and how long it all took for you ?
That is incredible - I'm amazed how humans have the intelligence to be able to straighten our own teeth using these appliances, unbelievable.

Idk why, but this video is so satisfying

My ortho says I'll need this but put me in braces first. He said I could either do it before or after. Is that true? Because this vid is saying its to be done before braces. Now I'm worried.
I just found out recently that I need this and am going to get it in the first few weeks. Before has anyone else experienced the following?
Pains in throat, neck, shoulder, chin, and headaches (for me usually on the one side.) Biting mouth often, occasional shortness of breath. Just wanting to make sure this will help treat the problems I have been dealing with.
How long does the last phase and particularly in 01:26 that you move back the front 4 teeth last?

I have the exact same thing just a bar in the back of my teeth to keep the shape I really can’t tell if they have made any difference I was using the strongest force 2 rubber bands and I’ll be getting braces in 4 days and still have to wear rubber bands so id like to see if anything changed and if my overbite was somewhat fixed!!👍👍👍

How's going
How's the progress?
Update, please!
Is this available in the UK? Where can you find out?
so basically what it does is pushing your maxilla backwards instead of pushing the mandible forward, and if you will not mew during the treatment you might have recessed maxilla ?
It’s to fix on overbite/overjet. Wouldn’t it just be pushing it back into the correct position since it was already too far forward?
I wonder how much does this thing cost?
En q países venden y cuánto cuesta
How much ?doctor fees?
My dentist never told me I could get surgery so she did the technique in the video and it made my nose look bigger and my face look rounder because the chin is still small. Best solution is surgery.
Do you regret ?
I've had mine for about 2 months and my teeth are looking pretty spread-apart and not too cute and they're loose. Which is a good thing, they say, so they can move, but all that's happening to my teeth makes me a little nervous. Like my incisors are going to pull straight down and out of my mouth! The elastics--from the beginning--have been oddly comfortable and I prefer them in rather than feeling compelled to remove them. Is that weird? I'm on force 2 now which are a little more difficult to string up, I admit. But I've had some gum recession above one of my incisors, as they seemed to have pulled downward, so I'm hoping braces will help correct that. Not sure. Oh, and I'm 59! I never expected to get braces--was told I would need jaw surgery to correct my overbite (this was around 30 years ago)--but I declined that route. I just went in recently wanting to help with some overlapping of my two top teeth. $5000 + later, here I am!
No it’s not weird at all, they will be steady afterwards, English is not my first language so I’m really bad at explaining this, I had an discussion with my dentist yesterday and he suggested me to do this one too, he did mention that my teeth will get loose but will be better, he showed me others record and talked about how his patient are always nervous about loosen teeth, and he also mentioned that during the process, your teeth will look worse, feel free to go to your dentist and tell them your concern, or go to another dentist if you don’t trust them
how is everything now
@@kenna8538 I wish I could say I have them off now. The orthodontist had said he'd "spring" me from them in spring. It didn't happen. Then they keep adding time. Summer for sure, he said. Now, I don't have a date and my orthodontist left his practice, so now I have a new guy. Argh. 15-18 month estimate is now heading toward 2 years. They look okay and feel aligned and much, much straighter. I don't need them perfect. I just want them off soon!
I have this now is it normal my left side jaw hurts next to my ear and my ear hurts too? Ive had it like 4 months and it hurts worse now
yes, thats normal.
How can we take medicine to relief or not?
It may look like it’s just the teeth, but if you look closely, the midface (upper jaw) moved back which is bad, it puts pressure on your sinuses and makes your face look flat
only my lip moved backwards with this procedure, my side profile looks much better and no trouble breathing
how many years does it take?
Does your side profile really improve by braces? I want one :'(
Faith Baisa I’ve had them on for 4 months and am getting braces this week I had a 90% overbite and I don’t know if anything has changed with my side profile but I’ll have to see the pictures
Can you tell us if your side profile improved or not?
it can change when you wear the appliance while you're still growing
Depends on what your trying to improve and the technique used for fixing your teeth for instance if you have a overbite your teeth may protrude and since your teeth support your lips your lips will protrude too making your profile (especially lips) unbalanced using extractions or the appliance used in this video should shift your teeth back and hence shifting your lip back and the same is with a underbite .
If your just using braces and your lips are already balanced dont expect too much
@@reaper2528 the cariere move lower teeth forward too

How the F does that work?
Isn’t it supposed to bring the lower jaw forward instead of bringing the upper jaw backwards?
Interesting Stuff that´s what its like isn’t it?
No it’s brings both jaws to a point where they can meet
It’s not moving jaw it’s just the teeth, and it’s also push lower teeth forward
@@Shira1O1 it doesn't move the bottom teeth, that's why they give you a retainer for only the lower teeth so it acts as an anchor
@@etornatu5346 My orthodontist told me retainers at the bottom are only done after treatment not during treatment. If this appliance can bring the upper jaw backwards without interfering with the bottom, that would be great. I've had self ligating braces for a week now.
How much time it takes to go in proper position i have same problem
Up to 6 months
Seems too good to be true 😭 I’m not understanding how this fixes the positioning of the condyle. Anyone know???
I got them today, and one of the hook thingy fell off ...

This is what I have and currently undergoing orthodontic treatment (braces). I had the distalizer. My maxilla is getting pushed backwards, but I am worried that I’d end up with recessed maxilla. I’d rather my mandible gets pushed forward.
I'm in exactly the same boat as you. Got this bullshit fitted a couple days ago and now I'm concerned it will recess my maxilla.
so did it recess your maxilla?

Same! I'm worried someone pls tell me 😭

My same problem gap
This thing sucks takes like forever to work. Then it gives u additional problems because the pressure makes your bottom back molars to move. So you basically end up with longer wait and problems.
I would encourage any one to get extraction and just get braces.
Got it May 17, and my orthodontist told me they will be off this September 27. However they created more problems on my lower teeth, now getting temporary partial braces for only my back teeth (molars). Another 3-4 months. Fuck. So mad. Basically plan almost a year of waiting before the real braces.
I think you have a Bad Ortho
You should’ve worn your bottom retainer and your molars would te have budged x

Mines 😥
i wish instead of elastics it was some sort of metal bc i always forget them after i eat
I can't even shut my mouth , how does she do it? -.-
Anyone know if this changes the side profile? I have a small jaw and need to bring my teeth back. Worried that I’ll look weird when it’s all said and done.
it doesn't have a much of a change although, with an overbite, it can aline the lips a little bit more as it showed in the video at 0:14
Did u do this treatment?
shira 1O1 no I didn’t. I’m going to just do Invisalign. It’ll make my overjet a bit bigger but I was warned by two orthodontists that moving teeth back can age the face. I’m a 32f and that’s the last thing I need.
@@Foodie-to3mk what really? I saw amazing results with this , I have also overjet and I’m 16 but I don’t want to extract 2 teeth out of my mouth cuz this is what make you ugly, but I have overjet with crocked teeth a bit and I heard by so many people that they love the results and I look at the results they had and I really liked them , they had a really tiny change in the profile and her lower jaw was a bit forward even when she was 23 when she had the cariere motion, cuz it’s moving the upper teeth back and the lower teeth and jaw forward
@@Foodie-to3mk and also it’s the same thing as putting elastic bands on braces.. I think you need to try this cuz it will take you less time to inviseline and even when u just get Invisalign your 32 your jaw don’t grow anymore, your teeth will be back to fix overjet in your age so idk 🤷🏻♀️ your choice but what you expect from inviseline it’s moving your teeth back just in long time..
How long does the process take?
Kevin Hernandez 2 years
@@sldfurya5501 No! i am at the last stage 1:24 and it i have braces for more than 9 months it's not true! if you wear your rubber bands properly the process will BE ALOT MORE FASTER CAUSE RUBBER BANDS ARE THE THING THAT MAKES EVERYTHING WORK.

No.. It does not hurt. Make sure you wear your elastics! Good luck!

Hello! I’m Violet, I know by now you’ve gotten them off sooooo bye
It hurt for me not immediately but the first couple days after I couldn’t eat anything.

I had one of these and now i have braces and no overbite!
I currently have this as well but im confused about the video since i have an empty spot on my bottom teeth. My molar before was removed and did not grow anymore but my wisdom tooth came out and replaced it instead 😂 so now they use this procedure to move my other molar and wisdom tooth to move forward.
Do you know by how much mm your overbite decreased? Arnd have you noticed changes to your profile? Thank you in advance:)
how many days should I wear 'em?
My daughter already uses brakets, her dentist tells me that she will reduce the treatment time, what is missing, from one year to 3 months, she used conventional brakets before, it depends on the problem you have, but the treatment is very promising, it will reduce to Months treatment years.
I have it rnnn lol the retainer hurts tho cus it’s my first week😕
Is your upper jaw moving back??
Hiba Syed lol ya i um kinda barley wear it now lol but ya it was working but the gaps r ugly:(
Hey ! Don't know if you'll see my comment but how is it going ??
Are you teeth good now ? Did it work ?
What can I do
The same pblm i have, but my dentist suggests me to take 4 of my teeth😣. But without removing teeth its a very good solution 👌😁
I also have the same problem my orthodontist suggested to take 4 of my teeth. 😅 But maybe I will get it a few months from now
Sem as me ........
Is it better than elastic?
This is combined with wearing elastics, the elastics are worn on the canine to the second last molar to put the top teeth back.
May i ask sir, how long for putting appliance before change to braces
it depends how fast your teeth move , on the paper sheet it says it should take around 3 to 5 months
My ortho says 3 months for me
it took 2 months from putting that on the braces for me
I think this is what i need
How much it cost ???

@@hind2384Is that putting the lower jaw forward?
This procedure is treating a skeletal problem dentally, which is the worst thing a orthodontist can do to a patient. The patient has a Skeletal Class 2, which means the lower jaw is trapped back by the shape of the upper jaw (usually too narrow or front teeth leaning back). Instead of correcting the upper jaw first by developing it with an orthopaedic appliance, this procedure retracts the upper teeth to match the lower jaw in its retruded (backwards position). The result is 100% going to be Temporomandibular joint problems (as the condyle goes off the disk and starts clicking) and a retruded chin profile. The correct method would be to first treat the narrow maxilla , then advance the lower jaw with a functional appliance, and then finish the orthodontic part with fixed braces. There is plenty of research that shows that it takes at least 6 months for the mandible to be translated forward, so you need time for your bone to remodel, it is just the way nature works. The best appliance to translate the mandible is a Twin Block appliance, and you have to wear it for 6 months, at least, full time. Unfortunately, this Carriere system is hyped up and is all money driven. It is going to leave thousands and thousands of patients with Temporomandibular problems that is a nightmare to treat at a later stage. The same can be said for orthodontics involving extraction of the upper premolars.
...:O are you an ortho ?
Jacob Chin If your lower jaw is back or retrusive it is called a Skeletal Class 2. This can only be corrected by wearing a functional orthopaedic appliance like a Twin Block. It becomes more difficult to translate the mandible forward as we get older , especially past puberty. You lower jaw is stuck back for a reason. You will have at least one of the following: a narrow upper jaw, Division 2 ( upper front teeth leaning back), a deep bite, a short maxilla. These needs to be corrected first before you can advance the mandible forward, otherwise you jaw will drop back again. It will take time for the bone to change to let your jaw stay forward permanently and will depend on how well you wear the twin block...which is full time and eating with it in. Pulling our upper teeth back to match the lower jaw is a bad idea. Hope this helps

after reading your comment i’m very scared and your using a lot of weird terms idk. sooo will i still have a normal smile finish when i get my invisalign off after this?

4-6 months
i got mine almost a week and a half ago and there's a very noticeable difference in my bite. i'm hoping it doesn't take 4-6 months
Sara Elizabeth Trapen I'm very disappointed yes it can take longer than what I mentioned.
It works around the 3rd month, you start to notice big ugly gaps.
And they can also make your bottom teeth to move resulting in another problem.
I was happy thinking they were coming off this September 27
But no, now I need to get it for longer along with bottom braces for only the back teeth.
This carrier appliance moves your bottom teeth resulting in additional wait and more problems.
