How effective is this for sleep apnea and breathing issues, i have an extremely high/narrow palate and over here in the UK its just dismissed as if it doesnt work at all, ive had septum/turbinate reduction, still really ill and CPAP does nothing, nearly 43 years old!
Each case should be analyzed individually. In some cases in combination with an orthodontic treatment it may improve sleep apneas. Also the type of apneas should be analyzed, it’s not the same an obstructive apnea than a central apnea. Sometimes it also needs the use of a sleep appliance in the mouth.
I just had the marpe with surgical assist. started with 30 mm inter molar width and now at 34.5 mm and I can tell you my BREATHING IS NIGHT AND DAY. I still have sleep apnea since I have a posterior tongue tie and still choke on my tongue at night. I would suggest starting off doing myofunctional therapy exercises as this will help with your sleep apnea. I have gotten my surgical expansion with dr. coppelson in Los Angeles. Best of luck to you.
Is it possible to do this without SARPE, I'm turning 21 soon. Is it already too late, or is there any chance if I were to see an orthodontist/oral specialist? If there's alternatives, would you recommend SARPE over the alternatives?
Why was I recommended a rapid palette expander that was just to expand the upper dental arch teeth and not the entire palette/separate the two bones? Please explain if possible why one might be recommended over the other. Thank you 👍🙏.
@@Dentalk Sir , i am 19 years old and i need this , i don t suffer severe overcrowding , it s a mild to easy case of crowding but some irthos say that i need surgery and some say it is enough with this .... i am confused...
yes it can. it's called mandibular synthesis distraction osteogenesis. surgically assisted by cutting midline of mandible and using a distraction device same as marpe. fewer doctors do it, but it's necessary often to match the expansions of the maxilla to achieve proper bite and prevent bruxism from size discrepancy between width of maxilla and mandible.@@Dentalk
Please answer me i got 2 expander and they told to activate the one like in the video in 6 days after surgeon and other 8 days after for the first one I activate it but didn't do it the 2 days and and when I activate the one for 8days I dit it with the one upper my question is is it problematic because I didn't activate the one upper I will see my doctor this Wednesday
Can I please send you photos of my X-ray and position photos for an opinion? I have been told only surgery can solve it but I wish to seek other opinions first in hope that someone can help me without it.. Could you please check my xrays and share an honest opinion? Would be so very much appreciated.. Thanks so much..@@Dentalk
We can’t do that without a proper visit to the clinic. It’s necessary to have a ct scan, digital models from your mouth, an articulator mounting, pictures etc. It’s a 1 hour visit to get all the tests, then a few weeks are needed to fully study the case and decide the treatment plan.
@@o.r.4217hy bro can I have your Instagram I want to know more about this device and its effectiveness can u please guide me the and review about it please
@sunflowerstudies8719 U didnt ask me but as someone who has one I think I can answer ur question. First it depends on how bad ur bite is. I had an crossbite and the expander treatment is gonna take me 5 months. Only 1 month was needed for treatment the other 4 months the expander needed to stay in and let my jaw heal and adjust. Later I'm gonna get braces or any other thing that is gonna repair the tooth gab and teeth. Don't know how mich this is gonna take me I'm not a orthodontist and if ur interested to know bc it's important for the process I'm a teenager.
Mejor que te hagan una cirugía y punto. A mí prima le hicieron cirugía. Se dividieron el paladar en 4 partes y punto. Fue en realidad una cirugía ortognática.

I also have a deviated septum, but my dr told me to do the expansion first.

MARPE instead of SARPE, but it depends on the case

I am doing myofunctional therapy and my dentist mentioned Marphe, vivos and or doing tongue tie release. How is this different from Vivos, Alph?
I am going through the exact same thing

Yes
Please tell me the name of the metal.🫶
Can someone please explain how a new bone will form the gap after turning the expander? I’m very confused
It’s a normal biologic process, same that occurs with a fracture
Can this be done in adults who are 36?
yes I just had this and I am 33@@colbytharp5512

Is for expanding the palate, in combination with braces or clear aligners
There is a reply but I cannot see it. Why ???
I'm 30 years old, how long should I wear them?
It depends on the case, and the amount of expansion
do you suggest myofunctional therapy prior to getting this done?
It depends on if the patient has any other habits that can affect
Can this be used on the lower teeth too?
No, is just for the maxilla

Mandibular symphyseal distraction osteogenesis (MSDO)
Where are you located?
Only These SME devices can expand one side more than other, also make one side drop more leading to facial asymmetry.
Not true, they are positioned digitally according to the case
Hi sir !! I'm 17 years old can I get this??
Because my upper palate is narrow and I also have an overbite..
The first thing is to make a proper diagnosis of your case to see the requirement
Love this video! ❤️
I’d like to get this done. How can I make an appointment?
Here you have all the options: www.clinicapardinas.com
How much this cost averagly in the US?
Had a consultation in LA. Total about 10,000 for braces and MARPE.
My consultation was estimated at $4500 here in Oregon. I have been in braces for 2 years already though,
Does this can work for 25 years old? Thanks
Yes

You should call your doctor as there are different types of expanders with different prescriptions
Do these need surgery too for expansion with expander ?
That’s a type of expansion that only needs this procedure
Will this work to fix an underbite without doing surgery? I want to show my orthodontist this video. Please reply..
It depends on the case, a craniofacial diagnosis should be performed to exactly know what is needed
