    I also have a B Rus on its way! I have listened to Nadishana on repeat since I discovered this instrument and find all his music fascinating. What I really would like is to have a tutorial on making the rhythm that he does at 01:45. Anybody?!? I can also see some tabla influences amongst other things. Just wonderful, and the harmonics and resonance are uniquely beautiful. Make sure you play this on a good set of speakers!

    • @stoehr
      @stoehr 7 лет назад

      David Torres Do you know if this is considered a major or minor scale?

    • @davidtorres8396
      @davidtorres8396 7 лет назад +1

      It is B minor. B to D is a minor 3rd and A is your minor 7th. I own a B Rus Rav and absolutely love it, but I think because of the tone quality, it tends to feel more like it is in D major and sounds kind of happy. I honestly wish the middle tongue was tuned to D and I had another high note above the top A, but whatever no biggie. Great instrument!

      @@davidtorres8396 so, I'm attempting to take the plunge. I'm caught between the B Rus (on sale and ready to ship) and the B Kurd (+$150 and not in stock). This will be my first and I was wondering if you had any thoughts that might help me out.

    handpan player here; How 'loud`is a rav compared to a handpan? does it fill a room? is it good to hear out in the open? Or is high quality recording necessary for the full warm deep sound?
    Thank you and beautiful play!
