Teal, I know you have said that you have had those chisels a long time but for what you are doing, my 'go-to' tool is a painter's 5-in-1. I sharpen the scraper edge on it so it acts like a chisel. They have a nice handle, are shorter for more control, and if you get a good one, they last a long time too.
    But I am a woodworker....

This is Jace Hobbs of Nelson,, New Zealand. I designed and build this catamaran 25 years ago in my patented process Mastermolding. You can see the old Multihulls magazine article done on this boat and the process I invented to build it. Does everyone know that the both sides of each hull and cabintop are all built on one very special Mastermold with vacuum assist and high-modulus fabrics. The whole boat only took me one year to build, including the mold, so it has been a durable and performance oriented process with lots of weight saving technology, yet quick to build
. The molding is done into a concave (female) mold with really clean and low wastage advantages. I have recently updated the mold shape and can produce custom bow and stern profiles all on the Mastermold. I have also refined the hull parameters to take advantage of what we know as the best sea-keeping shapes and this is similar but more refined than the boat that this lovely family are living and working on. So if persons with interest in this boat and the two other size catamarans that can be build on the same mold, they can contact me at jace.hobbs@gmail.com.

You pay a lot of attention to detail and strength with all that you do but I'm wondering why you didn't glass over the thru hull plugs and tie them into the hull ? . Are you that confident in the bond of the epoxy between the plug honeycombs and the hull honeycombs?. You're whole family is awesome and I Thank you all for sharing this story of ur lives!!

i don't often leave reviews or comments but i just have to say you guys are so inspiring to my wife and i. Long story short our 5 year plane is to be living on a cat and by 10 years be full time cruisers. When we watch your videos i see the patience in the whole family and how you all work so well together. Teal reminds me a lot of myself in that he can fix or build just about anything he sets his mind too.I am the same way except some how over the years I've lost the patience and always seem to be in a hurry to get the project done. Watching you work has reminded me to slow down and relax don't get in such a big hurry and enjoy working on projects again. You guys are the awesome and we wish you all the best and maybe one day we will meet on an blue water crossing. Keep up the good work!

    Hello Basik Crew,
Sanding, and plugging holes, what fun. I'm waiting to see how well Emma does training with the Flight Training Simulator. I worked on Commercial/Military Advanced Simulator Technology Simulators for 35+ years, which provides the actual reality of a genuine Aircraft. Emma's first attempts at flying the actual drone should all be very low level flight to learn ground effects, and prevent damage from a high altitude crash. I always found low level terrain following flight as a good way to learn how to maintain level flight. I can't wait to see Emma's first solo Drone flight. Love Y'all. Getr Done.

Teal thank you Til ( pologize if I got the spelling wrong ) love the dedication to detail love the dedication to the explanation very well done very easy to follow wonderful teacher !!!!!!!!9
Always in celebratory memory of your most beautiful mother she truly gave us all a gift of a man !!!!!!!!9
And you truly have the most beautiful gift of a very beautiful and supportive family the way you all work together I truly hope reaches and inspires many !!!!!!!!9
Lynn just a little FYI you may already know the difference but if you turn those pump pliers around I know you were in a tight space it would have actually made it even easier you don't have to hold on to them so tight and they grip much better .
cake is good and inviting but inviting acidicly to illness and disease !!!!!!!!9
and please you guys for yourselves and for me where some kind of mask even if it's a bandana when you're working with fiberglass or the epoxies may not be that noticeable but there is always gases and fumes and dust particles especially when you're tearing it apart . Protecting ourselves from all acidities definitely is the key to a longer life and much more enjoyable with less chance of illness and disease and no chance at all if we can keep ourselves in an alkaline environment do the research dr. Otto Warburg Nobel Prize science 1931 !!!!!!!!9
look forward to watching Emma captain the Drone as well as the boat very deserving of the pride your parents show in you as many of us on Lookers I know are too beautiful role model thank you !!!!!!!!9
much love and gratitude for much of everything you share !!!!!!!!9
I would really like to have more to give but all I have is my words to give freely of the knowledge of my journey !!!!!!!!9

plastic thru hull fittings are sealed in place.. the nut barely snug so you don't stretch the plastic causing it to break, its the sealer that prevents leaks.. not the over tightening of the nut. one must use care when putting hoses or fittings on the inside of plastic thru hull fittings.. to prevent breaking loose the sealing material. just thought i should chip in..

We have been curating a storefront on Amazon on the products we use. This is just what we use (No sponsorship). It doesn't cost you anything additional, but if you use our link, Amazon throws us a few pennies when you purchase with it. www.amazon.com/shop/onboardlifestyle Thanks for watching!

We use 3m Platinum fairing compound. We have curated a list of items we use frequently on our Amazon store since a lot of people have asked what we use. If you use our link, Amazon throws us a few pennies towards our cruising kitty. Thanks in advance! www.amazon.com/shop/onboardlifestyle
