What makes this intro in the style of Christopher Eccleston/Series 1 and not David Tennant/Series 2 is the fact that Matt Smith is credited as "Doctor Who", not "The Doctor. That was remedied in Series 2.
Personally, I'd say it's more Series 2 than Series 1. Series 1 had the names just come in, out of sync to the music, and Series 2 onwards it slowly got better.
The only Series 1 episode that is out of sync is 'Rose'. 'The End of the World' onwards has the same sync that was standard for those titles from 2005-07, with the first name coming in on the 'oo-wee-oo'.

If you listen to series 1 theme and series 2 and 3. 2&3 are slightly faster and you can hear the background effects more

In Series 1 and Series 2 the companion names appeared from the opposite side to the Doctor’s name. Otherwise looks amazing!
