Exactly how did you do a meta analysis on childhood development after Methadone exposure during pregnancy? There is not really any long term data to do one. And the few there are, are conflicting in conclusion. Newer study finds the neurological developmental differences were not due to Methadone but confounding variables not properly considered in previous study. Researchers really need to keep their methods tight, and note the limitations of studies on the human body when we honestly don't know enough (though we know alot) about all the variables and probabilities yet.
@@TheDenizxo keep it up. As long as you taper down slowly (and go as far as ~1mg)it will not be too difficult. The withdrawal effects pale in comparison to Heroin/Oxy, it's just the fact that rather than being a couple of days, it'll last months. I dropped off methadone at 2mg on the 1st March and it still hasn't fully finished. Hence my advice to do so slowly as I chose to do it in an 18 day detox centre. Still got post acute to go after that, But with any luck, that part of the withdrawal will not get passed onto a child (I'm male so not referring to me here). Good luck and remember, YOU ARE STRONG ENOUGH!
@@TheDenizxowhatever happens with the methadone just know that your stress hormones have an affect too, so no matter what don't stress yourself, over think or worry while pregnant. Not that, that's easy to do but it should be your goal. I was born addicted to methadone, and suffered from severe depression, I'd just cry and cry for no reason. My parents told me that ask what's wrong and I'd just say "i don't know" 😂 For years i blamed the methadone but later found out my mom had gone through a psychotic breakdown while pregnant with me (i wasn't planned) ...now after years of reading about impacts of stress hormones on a fetus, I'm started to believe that's was the initial problem. The methadone probably didn't help either. But i agree it's gotta be better than heroine.

Thank you ❤
Pretty sure all of side effects the baby may experience because of methadone, pales in comparison to that of heroin use...
