Absolut bestes Video. Das geht unter die Haut. Besonders wenn man Verluste erlitten hat.
Many Rammstein songs have deep and multiple layers of meaning and symbolism, but they also have songs that are more light-hearted. Regarding this song I don't think they're trying to tell a story or convey a message. It's more an expression of feelings about the passing of time. How you sometimes want time stop, how painful it is that everyone has a time to go, but also that that is part of what makes life beautiful.

beautiful words. i interprate it in the same way. i love the desire, sadness, vulnerability. i cant remember many rammstein songs, that are that "serious" with the emotions.

This song, to me, is about how we desperately try to make time stop, or even go back to better days gone by, but we cannot. It just relentlessly moves forward. It's because of this that we never really know how much time we have left; so treat every moment like the perfect moment. No matter how much time we get with those we love, we will always want more. That is life's ultimate tragedy. Thankfully, one would see that life has enough perfectly beautiful moments to keep the scales balanced.
They are a metal band and this was a very calm song. The whole record is quiet by its standards. But there have always been a few quiet songs. The lyrics aren't always as complicated, but they're also not as simple as they appear. There theme is the dark side of love.

Und die visuell/graphische Option auszuschöpfen, das dann auch noch zu potenzieren: (ist ja auch ein Videoclip und nicht "nur" ein Gedicht)
- Platons Höhle zu entkommen (durch Rückblicke um herauszufinden wer wann wo falsch abgebogen ist)
- die 2. Hälfte Fausts "Sterbemonologes" passt komplett "obendrüber" (nicht nur "Augenblick verweile doch...so schön")
- und perfekt inszeniert der jeweilige Moment der Erleuchtung in den beiden "sollte nicht" Geschichten
- und so herzzerreißend die "sollte"-Geschichte der 3. Strophe

Hi from germany, first of all you did a great reaction and Rammstein songs have allways a deeper meaning I realy hope to see more of Rammstein reactions on your channel if I can recommend some it would be for the fun part "Dicke Titten" and a real complex one would be "Deutschland" some more will folow I hope.

Rammstein Zeit: Meaning of the text and video
In general, the song deals with the theme of death and transience of life. These motifs are expressed within the video through various images and metaphors.
At the beginning, when the band members drown in the sea, Lindemann sings about the flow of time, in which all people are trapped. This metaphor is visualized by drowning in the video.
In the war scene, where children first play war and later a battle actually takes place, the band sings about the lack of opportunity to stop the future: "You can't conjure up the future, don't tolerate a stay". In the same place where the children used to play, they are now dying in war. In the song, the wish is expressed that the beautiful moments as children should always last.
The women who give birth to their child on the sand stream stand for the cycle of time. In the same place where the dead daughter will later appear, children are also born.
The farmer and his daughter are separated in a moment that seemed perfect to them. The father tries to stop his daughter, but does not make it. Accordingly, he mourns the moment. The character in the video is clearly recognizable as death by the black cape. But the video also equates it with the concept of time, because due to the passage of time, everyone has to die at some point.

Oh... My mother tongue is German, and I don't always understand what Rammstein (Lindemann) sings/means either.
Zum Beispiel bei Spieluhr. Wenn ich da Kindesmisshandlung höre wird mir schlecht. Da legt man dann dem Kind eine Spieluhr in den Sarg. Aber das Herz kann man doch nicht retten. Also verstehe ich es nicht.
