It’s all fascinating stuff on a certain level. But it makes no sense that Charlie is functioning as a single parent while working this kind of job. It is simply not tenable based on his apparent lack of a support system, limited compensation, and wildly unpredictable hours. I always thought this was an aspect of Charlie’s life that they showed love to but didn’t truly flesh out…probably because it was impossible.

So Charlie's likely not having to do all the cooking, cleaning and laundry, just making sure they've got a roof over their heads and food on the table.
He took a lot of AP classes in high school. I remember him talking about it with Sam in one episode. Sam was impressed that Charlie had amassed enough credits to be a junior in college by the time he enrolled.

Give a young person adult responsibilities and some teaching in how to organize (or set a real good example on how to live like an adult and not an immature one), and they get a lot done in one day (at the expense of being a kid) or they drown under all the workload.

I realize that this is a TV show and I realize there are some truths to it...but for this scene alone, I have no idea why anyone would want to be President.
In the ole in days candidates were suppose to appear to be reluctant to seek the office. They were often made to look like they had be drafted and were eager to do their duty and return to whatever it was they were doing before taking on the burden.
Former RA here and ResLife is EXAAACTLY like that. Having to call the director of ResLife at 3am because some idiot freshman was in the hospital after skating down a hand rail and cracking their face half open...but the good news was that their bottle of Jim Beam was intact...ahhhh, the memories.

I’m amazed that Charlie did this job, with all its time requirements, take care of his sister and still somehow find time to graduate from college.
Hopefully, he was able to be exempt from a lot of classes because of the nature of his job. At the very least, I hope his GE's were waived!
