I gave up on new music in the mid 90s. I was spending 8 to 12 hours a day in a van running service calls. I would hear a song on the radio that I liked, buy or listen to the album and there were maybe 1 or 2 other songs that I liked. Not to mention that the radio would play the same damn songs over and over till I just turned it off. During covid I discovered BAND-MAID and they gave me the joy of music that I had lost. I can't put into words how grateful I am for that. I get so happy listening to them that I literally tear up with joy. ❤

My first comparison when I heard Band-Maid was if Pat Benatar took over from David Lee Roth fronting Van Halen. The Instrumental Maid YT channel has a live version of "Why why why" from an online Day of Maid concert that will just peel the paint off your back wall.

I laughed my ass off when you gave the chauvinistic assholes that say women can't rock hard the finger! Right on. Band-Maid has proven in so many of their videos and in live concerts they can rock just as hard if not harder than any male dominated rock groups. They are a force in rock, especially the excellence of their musicianship. One of my favorite early Band-Maid songs is "Real Existence", the official music video. Two other songs that are cool hard rock ones are "The non-fiction days", the official music video and "Take Me Higher", the official live video,(especially Take Me Higher).

And this is why I like reaction videos. Metallica + Taylor Swift. I have never heard anyone make that comparison before. Works for me. 😆

Ladies have sure stepped up and delivered music in the last few years, for sure! Joan Jett with The Runaways started the all girl rock band wave in the 70's, fighting the establishment all the way, being told again and again that girls don't play rock, she kept at it and is still going. Now Japan and Mexico are really shining with great all girl groups! If you don't know them, The Warning is a three sister rock band from Mexico and will be teaming up with Band-Maid in June in Japan. While I appreciate the Metallica and Taylor Swift enthusiasm, and having been a big fan of Metallica for a long time, I wouldn't go to far comparing Band-Maid to Swift. Band-Maid is, generally upbeat and positive, while Swift is always looking for the next broken relationship to write about. But I get that it's cool to see the Band-Maid succeeding as Swift has done, just in a totally different way. Personally I wouldn't cross the street to see Taylor Swift where as I would cross the country to see Band-Maid, but to each their own. That you like both is great for you. Keep the Band-Maid coming! You might want to check out "Alone" next, as it's the first self written song their label allowed onto a album, and "Freedom", was the first song Miku wrote the lyrics for.

I'm not going to diss Taylor Swift. She does her pop music genre very well an earns a shit load of money doing it, but it's not the hard rock music I prefer. Band-Maid does that. Band-Maid has recorded one song that could be considered pop-ish. That song is " Start Over". The way Band-Maid performs the song, I could say Taylor Swift would be impressed.

Also, check out HANABIE. They are my #2 favorite vocal combo after Saiki-san and Miku-chan here. NEMOPHILA has a different type of vocalist but she has RANGE. There's also LoveBites who has the Operatic vocalist. Asami-san is the one that's hard to get into but the other band members are Superior instrumentalists. All of them are.

As somebody "across from the pond" I appreciate your reaction to my favorite band. I really enjoy watching a reactor new to the band react to them. It is as if I am discovering this fantastic group all over again. Keep up the good work. I have just subbed to your channel.

Mr. I've been listening to hard rock and metal since 1984 and I mean a lot of bands from various genres... Deep Purple, Scorpions, Loudness, Firehouse, Megadeth, Metal Church, Dream Theater, etc, etc, etc.
But I've never been a fan of Metallica... and Taylor Swift... please, seriously.
What I mean is that making comparisons lightly is often not the best way to compliment someone.
