I love Puerto Rico, I just went back there this summer to visit family and I am always amazed at how beautiful it is. I always found it fascinating how diverse the climate was, especially because my family's home town is on the southern coast.

Interestingly enough, it is one of the weaker municipal flags. However that is only to the credit of the other municipalities as they all have great flags.

That is true. I'm from a town called Adjuntas in the mountains of Puerto Rico and we love our flag; we slap it on everything. Meanwhile I seldom see people from San Juan being enthusiastic about their flag. I only see it in government buildings. Some flags you'll see flown very often (or slapped on cars) are also Guayama, Mayagüez, Añasco, Ponce, Utuado, and Lares (which uses the original Puerto Rican flag design as its municipal flag). The flag of Lares is also used by a lot of independence supporters and has that wider meaning of being Left leaning politically.
