Thank you it works now! I had 2 ESP8266 boards (No writing on chips) and they wouldn't connect to the Arduino IDE. The driver was 3.8.2023.2 and I installed 3.5.2019.1 like you mentioned. Changed the driver and, it finally recognized it! I figured the boards were broken but, nope just the drivers! I'm on Windows 11 Pro as well.
Do you have another video showing every step. Im pretty sure you did something after downloading the drivers. I've followed all steps and nothing is working.
Have you tried the resource page at www.digitaltown.co.uk/66FakeCH340Chips.php shows the steps as well as the link to the microsoft site that shows how to stop the drivers updating once the new driver is installed.
Thank´s for this publication, I was very ilusionated to solve my comunicatios problem between Arduino mega and W11 and I have intented a lot of times to change the driver but there was no choice - the 3.8.2023.2 driver does not disappear.... Could you give me any new idea ? The Event Manager response is "0".
Have you followed the instructions at: answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-do-i-force-windows-to-allow-me-to-update-a/33218b2e-5ccf-4415-872d-24cb59926f0d If you don't do this part the driver will just reset to 3.8.2023.2 as Wndows 11 will automatically update to the latest version.
Thank you!. All of my clones have the driver problems. I keep a shortcut on my desktop for when it goes wonky. I couldnt find where to turn off the updates

I have nodemcu lolin ch340G still working using windows 11. But must press the reset button when uploading
The problem only occursd on certain CH340 chips, usually the ones with no writing on them. I have some that work fine, others that have the problem
