UPDATE: This video was recorded 2 days ago but Zico recently just posted on his Instagram saying he has nothing to do with this, I choose to believe him, but we can’t rule out the fact that usually people that did something wrong will say they didn’t do it (just like Seungri said the messages were fabricated until the police proved that they were real) Zico said he wasn’t involved and knew nothing but a source has said that because these chat messages and chat group was from 4 years ago some people in the group chat could not be identified because they use screen names not real names and maybe in these 4 years they have made a new Kakao account and no longer use the old one. But JJY did mention that when Zico and he hangs out, Zico will go to the phone and use it as if it was his. So did Zico know and see all the stuff going on in JJY’s phone? That is something we can consider and think about, but not something we can judge about just yet. Let the police do their job. Give it time. Everything will slowly unfold. God bless the victims.
The optimus has unfortunately lost these days. The news got worse and worse. Faith sometimes causes mountains and if it is just a grain of sand. May the victims now receive all the help and that SHE get a lot of publicity from the public, that everyone sticks to them in this bad time.

Guilty will say they are innocent but so will the innocent. You say you choose to believe zico but still projecting him like he's guilty. Zico said he was not talking about the phone that jjy used for this matter and even than jjy didn't say anything about zico being the chat group member or else he would have called him out for it. And the police are doing whatever they can because of the pressure and they didn't even call him for interrogation. Seungri was a legend his work with Big Bang will always be remembered but if he committed a crime he should face the charges just like any ordinary person.

G-Dragon and Taeyang are more of a songwriter and singer. Songs of Seungri, which only he had sung as a soloist I do not know, because he does not have either the talent of Taeyang. He was just a member and lead dancer in the group. Now comes first, that the victims get help. Only this counts. Seungri is past.
1.) This is not a scandal but a crime. 2.) This case has been there for many years and reporters and detectives were looking into the gagnam clubs because of the drugs and one of the detectives was even killed (that one is a legit fact). Seungri/jung joonyoung are just a small piece of that huge mess. 3.) Zico is (currently) not a prime suspect. I personally am side eyeing zico because of the "golden phone" comment. No, the repairman should not be charged. If he kept silent he would be assisting in a crime. And in some countries (guessingkorea too) his assistance in revealing the crime would put him in the role of a whistleblower which ia not illegal.
Well if he saw some push notifications it is right, but if he went throigh the contacts and messages then it is illegal and at least a 'small' fine or smth should also be considered

It is different to a hacker or someone that releases personal info. Whistleblowers do it because it pertains to a crime. If they did it for other reasons they are not whistleblowers. Think watergate, wikileaks, Al Capone, and Chelsea Manning or the victims of the Khmer Rouge. That is why there is a separate definition. Otherwise it would be very hard to catch heavy crimes.
Why would ZICO talk about this Golden Phone that openly on TV if he was aware of anything wrong. He was just trying to embarass him, implying that he's a player and has a lot of dates. SBS funE even admitted they edited the 1:1 message of JJY. Ri’s lawyer even stated that he gave their statement to one big media company but it seems like it was never posted. You cant trust the media rn. Better wait for the Seoul Metropolitan Police to release a statement. Yes,assault did happen. Illegal recording of videos did too happen as admitted by JJY. To many illegal things are slowly discoverd which is never never acceptable. But let’s not judge someone someone easily just because his name has been stitched to these issues. I believe the the police department handling this case is credible enough to gather evidences in order to give justice to the women involved in this scandal. The investigation is still on going. No one has been proven guilty yet except JJY who willingly admitted his action.

Those are probably the initial charges. As the investigations uncover more information as to the extent of the crimes (or worse, more crimes committed), the charges will start getting more serious. I always have to get people outraged at "light charges" in the beginning of a criminal arrest to settle down and realize that initial charges exist to get people locked into the judicial process system before they can do a runner. It also buys time for police to complete their investigations. Not everything comes out all at once, as we're seeing now, and there is no such thing as too much evidence to take someone to trial. Witnesses have to be interviewed, victims interviewed, hard evidence tracked down and more. Then you know ALL of what can be charged, and why.

I think this case goes beyond idols. There's corruption within the police, politics, and clubs in Gangnam. The fact that the Korean Prime Minister mentioned how Gangnam police has "dishonoured itself" [for not reporting many instances of illegal activities within clubs in Gangnam despite their knowledge] speaks a lot. Therefore, the case has been handed to Prosecutors who have helped expose the corruption by the previous Korean President two years ago, indicating how serious the matter is. The case of the actress (from Boys Over Flowers) who committed suicide and left a note about the men (most of whom were powerful politicians and businessmen) she was forced to sleep has been reopened. The situation does not seem as simple, but it depends on the authorities, whether they choose to dig deeper or let the main puppeteers escape. To me, these celebrities seem like fall guys for the deeply imbedded corruption in the system. But then, this is mere speculation. Either way, the crimes committed are too terrible to overlook. I hope the victims get justice and this situation can be a tipping point that will not only expose the corrupt but, in the future, have law prevail over all, including the powerful.

Most idols try enlist until the last moment , thats why most idols who enlist are 28-30 , you never see idols who are 20 years old enlisting because that's their prime. Really? When I heard about the scandal/crime I was shocked, but not so much about the fact that Seungri was apart of it. He was my least favorite BigBang member. I never thought he was a sleazy guy. I just thought he tried to hard to be...well, everything. To me it always felt like he was putting on. And with that other sex scandal he had a few years back in japan, i think....it just make sense. Even JJY, who im not gonna lie, I WAS (past tense) a fan of, wasnt really a surprise because of the "bad boy" persona he tried to portray. I was shocked about yong junhyun and lee jonghyun and Zico, who i believe knew about it to some extent, but wasnt apart of the chatroom. The repairman should be charged with intrusion of privacy, because he had no rights to go through someone's phone. That's just wrong. Many are probably thankful that he did, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a crime.
Tbh I don't think that defending Seungri is an option at this point??? Like he is confirmed to be in that groupchat, and the messages are also confirmed to be true. We could give him the benefit of the doubt on some of the charges, but I dont think it's okay to support a person who's, at least, been watching videos and photos of these girls for months and supporting it.

I now will support only OT4 and only have thoughts that the victims get justice and I hope the remaining members can not be judged for the acts of Seungri. Regarding the repairman issue, i read that jjy gave his phone to a forensic data store to recover some data and when the the person was retrieving it the kkt messages were recovered by accident and so he went to the media. Idk it's if confirmed but that's what i heard.

The "golden phone" that Zico talked about was the phone with the rape videos. JJY told the police that he had the videos on that phone, he also pretended the phone broke so he couldn't give it to the police. Zico didn't deny seeing that phone, but he said he was only looking at the contact list and not the videos. JJY said that everytime they met, Zico would go straight to the golden phone and spend at least 1 hour looking at it. Who looks at their friend's contact list for an hour? And who has a whole seperate phone to keep their contact list? Zico's excuse makes no sense, he's still very suspicious. A lot of people think he knew about the videos and didn't say anything. That phone story was way too weird. I hope police investigate him bc if he knew and didn't go to the police he's just as bad. It's not proven but we can't say he's proven innocent either. Ofc he's denying it rn, Seungri used to also deny until he couldn't anymore.

Well, the worst thing a repairman can find on my phone is that I read kpop fanfiction. And I honestly don't care if a repairman looks through my phone, or not. I don't even password lock my phone. I mean yeah, it is probably unethical to go through a client's phone, maybe a bit illegal, but I'm glad that repair guy did go through that phone because all these disgusting individuals involved should be accountable for their behavior. Because YG and Seungri tried reaaally hard to sweep this under a rug using any means.
In my honest opinion all this sex scandals the Kpop of industry's fault I'm not defending anyone any person to commit to sex related crime should be punished but we are talking about guys who are sexually repressed for years by the company's many of these guys enter to this company's as teenagers and they're not allowed to date or have any contact with females and Studies have shown that that only works to create sexual deviance take the Catholic church for example all those plates that have great children are because there are men who are sexually repressed
100% agree. If they allowed these young men and women to date and be normal couples they wouldn't be so apt to try to find a way to get sex, even if it is illegal.
But they're only banned from dating for the first 3 years and these are all idols that have been in this industry for a long time and have had girlfriends before so it doesn't have anything to do with sexual repression. It's not like we know what happens when they go home. All we know is when the cameras are rolling but we dont really know they're personal lives. So that is not an excuse to just rape women. This ain't a scandal anymore, this is a crime.

You'll check them first for signs of links to suspicious apps, then you know the phone has nothing physically wrong with it, but simply needs a hard reset. So before tearing into the repair person, make sure that he didn't choose some messages that raised alarms for him. "Hot XXX Girls!" or the like would be massive red flags of potential malware links. He could have then clicked on such an email or chat message and seen something illegal that needed to be reported to police.

He's a celeb, they know where the drugs and sex are especially if party celebs. ZICO isn’t really involved in the crime because the police brought up a comment that ZICO had mentioned in the video and that’s how ZICO kinda got involved and the comment that he had mentioned was something about the golden phone but if the police finds evidence that he was involved or if he knew about the group chat he would most likely be punished
Zico isn't involved, they involved him because of a comment about the golden phone that Jung Joon has that was made in 2016 in a TV show called radio talk. Zico also made a public statement on his IG story saying that he only know about the golden phone because of all the contacts Jung Joon has & he hasn't had contact with YG because of reasons, Zico said He was never involved with the scandal that is happening right now.

Well it is not legal to go through someones phone or privacy but when it is confirmed that a specific person committes a crime and and tells everyonw about it, so then it is COMPLETELY fine to go through their privacy becausr you need to find more evidence. So it is legal then. Because you wanna know that wether the person who broke the law is giving you accurate information or not. Not saying that i am against Seungri but what is right only that should be done. What he did was wrong and he should be punished for his mistakes because i know that he can learn from them. UPDATE: This video was recorded 2 days ago but Zico recently just posted on his Instagram saying he has nothing to do with this, I choose to believe him, but we can’t rule out the fact that usually people that did something wrong will say they didn’t do it (just like Seungri said the messages were fabricated until the police proved that they were real) Zico said he wasn’t involved and knew nothing but a source has said that because these chat messages and chat group was from 4 years ago some people in the group chat could not be identified because they use screen names not real names and maybe in these 4 years they have made a new Kakao account and no longer use the old one. But JJY did mention that when Zico and he hangs out, Zico will go to the phone and use it as if it was his. So did Zico know and see all the stuff going on in JJY’s phone? That is something we can consider and think about, but not something we can judge about just yet. Let the police do their job. Give it time. Everything will slowly unfold. God bless the victims.

You cant trust the media rn. Better wait for the Seoul Metropolitan Police to release a statement. Yes,assault did happen. Illegal recording of videos did too happen as admitted by JJY. I believe the the police department handling this case is credible enough to gather evidences in order to give justice to the women involved in this scandal. The investigation is still on going. Those are probably the initial charges. As the investigations uncover more information as to the extent of the crimes (or worse, more crimes committed), the charges will start getting more serious.
I always have to get people outraged at "light charges" in the beginning of a criminal arrest to settle down and realize that initial charges exist to get people locked into the judicial process system before they can do a runner. It also buys time for police to complete their investigations. Not everything comes out all at once, as we're seeing now, and there is no such thing as too much evidence to take someone to trial. Witnesses have to be interviewed, victims interviewed, hard evidence tracked down and more. Then you know ALL of what can be charged, and why.

Therefore, the case has been handed to Prosecutors who have helped expose the corruption by the previous Korean President two years ago, indicating how serious the matter is.
The case of the actress (from Boys Over Flowers) who committed suicide and left a note about the men (most of whom were powerful politicians and businessmen) she was forced to sleep has been reopened. The situation does not seem as simple, but it depends on the authorities, whether they choose to dig deeper or let the main puppeteers escape. To me, these celebrities seem like fall guys for the deeply imbedded corruption in the system. But then, this is mere speculation. Either way, the crimes committed are too terrible to overlook. I hope the victims get justice and this situation can be a tipping point that will not only expose the corrupt but, in the future, have law prevail over all, including the powerful.

Really? When I heard about the scandal/crime I was shocked, but not so much about the fact that Seungri was apart of it. He was my least favorite BigBang member. I never thought he was a sleazy guy. I just thought he tried to hard to be...well, everything. To me it always felt like he was putting on. And with that other sex scandal he had a few years back in japan, i think....it just make sense. Even JJY, who im not gonna lie, I WAS (past tense) a fan of, wasnt really a surprise because of the "bad boy" persona he tried to portray. I was shocked about yong junhyun and lee jonghyun and Zico, who i believe knew about it to some extent, but wasnt apart of the chatroom. I dont think he was part of the chat rooms because he wouldnt be looking on Disgusting Jung's phone.

I am a VIP, I have loved Bigbang for years and a few days ago i cried my heart out because i felt betrayed and so disappointed. I now will support only OT4 and only have thoughts that the victims get justice and I hope the remaining members can not be judged for the acts of Seungri. With my feelings, i can only imagine how disturbed and betrayed OT4 are feeling...I of course HOPE that somehow it comes out he is innocent but as of right now he doesn't exist in my life anymore. Regarding the repairman issue, i read that jjy gave his phone to a forensic data store to recover some data and when the the person was retrieving it the kkt messages were recovered by accident and so he went to the media. Idk it's if confirmed but that's what i heard.

The "golden phone" that Zico talked about was the phone with the rape videos. JJY told the police that he had the videos on that phone, he also pretended the phone broke so he couldn't give it to the police. Zico didn't deny seeing that phone, but he said he was only looking at the contact list and not the videos. JJY said that everytime they met, Zico would go straight to the golden phone and spend at least 1 hour looking at it. Who looks at their friend's contact list for an hour? And who has a whole seperate phone to keep their contact list? Zico's excuse makes no sense, he's still very suspicious. A lot of people think he knew about the videos and didn't say anything. That phone story was way too weird. I hope police investigate him bc if he knew and didn't go to the police he's just as bad. It's not proven but we can't say he's proven innocent either. Ofc he's denying it rn, Seungri used to also deny until he couldn't anymore.

Criminals by their nature aren't honest people. And consider this before thinking that guilty people won't lie: Serial killer Ted Bundy denied all of the murders, rapes and attempted kidnappings he committed, until he was caught in Florida.
From experience, I can tell you one thing: Never go by what the accused says. Don't even go by what the cops and prosecutors say. Go by what the EVIDENCE says.
And, no, it's not illegal for the repair person to go through things like chat messages if he's repairing a phone. If a phone isn't working right, chat and email apps are natural culprits to dig into as the source of viruses or other malware causing a phone to malfunction. You'll check them first for signs of links to suspicious apps, then you know the phone has nothing physically wrong with it, but simply needs a hard reset. So before tearing into the repair person, make sure that he didn't choose some messages that raised alarms for him. "Hot XXX Girls!" or the like would be massive red flags of potential malware links. He could have then clicked on such an email or chat message and seen something illegal that needed to be reported to police.

Well it is not legal to go through someones phone or privacy but when it is confirmed that a specific person committes a crime and and tells everyonw about it, so then it is COMPLETELY fine to go through their privacy becausr you need to find more evidence. So it is legal then. Because you wanna know that wether the person who broke the law is giving you accurate information or not.
