Duct tape! Will try it. My Dex 6 has a hard time staying on the full 10 days even with skin tac and an over patch. They are not very water proof. It’s hard to keep area dry in the shower. And finances are already over stretched. Thanks@@user-jo5fz8iw3b
thank you i enjoy your truth. i am 81 and have been a diabetic almost 60 years. things have changed so much in 60 years. it has been a fight but with the lords mercy i am still here.
This is very exciting to hear. My biggest complaints with the G7 are how easily the sensors fall off (particularly in these hot summer months) and the frequently dropped connections. This is all very good news.
Dexcom 6 can display glucose readings on I-phone with only a screen touch and a swipe. Dexcom 6 can also announce the glucose value when you just ask Siri. Tom, I’ve been watching your videos for a little while now and have learned a lot, thank you. I have been changed to a Dexcom 6 about 3 months ago in preparation for an insulin pump soon. After about a month while checking out it’s features I discovered I didn’t have to turn on my I-phone and then the app at night to check my blood sugar. I simply tapped the screen to turn it on and then swipe the screen from left to right and the number and a small portion of the graph appeared. This was quick and went back to sleep. Also while driving, no need to touch the phone. I simply spoke out ‘hey siri, get glucose’ and Siri spoke out the value and where it was heading and also displayed the info on phone screen . Great features in the Dexcom 6.
GP is terrible... My wife suffered from it for many years, she had a sleeve gastrectomy that helped tremendously. Problem was she had to basically binge herself to a BMI of 35 before insurance would cover the procedure. Crazy system, eh?
Ty for content! I had a sensor work for about 30min, then gave a loss signal error message. When I called Dexcom, they sent a replacement and packaging to ship the failed sensor to their Quality facility in California. Of course it was free of charge.
I've been having increasing numbers of failing sensors, some immediately after pairing, others near end-of-life. The last sensor I swapped out kept reading 30-40 mg/dL high vs. my Contour Next glucometer, even after multiple recalibrations. I hope this isn't a quality control issue that is cropping up. I've been on the G7 since December and it has changed my life for the better immensely, I went from a 13.0 in December to a 6.0 in August (and holding), because you can't run from the truth in front of you. I've used glucometers for 25 years, and the temptation to stop checking when the numbers aren't satisfactory is the road to trouble.
I love my Dexvom G7. I have a tendency to go from high to too low in 20 minutes. Sometimes, I have symptoms and know immediately I need to eat. Sometimes there are almost no symptoms except getting sleepy. Going to sleep when your blood sugar is 43 and going down isn't a good plan. I love hearing the alarm to let me know to eat. I.think it should be a louder alarm.
I love that they have worked on the adhesion. That has always been a problem for me. I am not using the G7 yet, but look forward to the new G7 and its upgrades. I usually wait for all of the bugs to be worked out before switching. 😀
Direct to watch is great, but i'm a die-hard android user. Honestly, that's my biggest complaint about any diabetes tech is it being iOS or Android only.
I like the new adhesive. The old ones would fall off, so I had to use another like the skin tac whipes... now I no longer need to use it, and the sensors are still sticking pretty good once they've expired. lol Some times I wish they would come off a little easier now... way different than it used to be.
I'm a healthcare worker, so I carry my phone in my scrub top.. My phone is rarely farther away than a couple feet ..I got so much signal loss, on the G7, that I had to go back to libre 3. I think the better Bluetooth reach and faster reconnect would be more important to me. My insurance pays for G7.. Would really like to be able to use it.
I am using my DX7 just for the alarm. It is always far off. It would show 267 but my regular meter would be 87. Only once that is was 174 and my meter was 173! It isn’t worth it for me but Medicare pays for it
I solved both stickiness and sensitivity issues by using a skin prep wipe and over-patches. As for connections, I found it convenient to connect to my pump and have my phone follow via connection to the pump as it made changes easier, but I see that independent connections can have advantages. I will attest that Dexcom does replace sensors; I even told them I felt a little bad since mine failed on day 9, but they sent a new one.
I have love the new Bluetooth and the reconnect feature is great. I use my iPhone, my Apple Watch and carry a receiver. The receiver used to have better Bluetooth than receiver, now the same! The watch looses signal briefly almost daily, but it is usually very short duration. I am sure it will continue to be enhanced.
The biggest problem with G7 was if I had it on my left arm and my phone on right side it would drop the signal all the time. That was only problem I had. Great their making updates. The place where I get MRI's asks up frong if you have a GCM and then schedule on your replacement date.
I have decided to switch from Dexcom 7 to libre 3... due to comfort .. Dexcom 7 often caused extreme sharp pain, dulling aches, to the point where I had to take it out sometimes immediately.. sometimes after a few days... Decided to try libre 3.. and wow what a difference.. I dont even feel it. I prefer the 'features' of the g7 on the app, apple watch... but.. ill take less features for less pain anyday
All this is good provided you can actually get the G7. Here in downtown backwater Australia we only have the G6. USA and Europe have had G7 for past 2.5 years. Our National Diabetes Services Scheme NDSS seriously need a kick in the butt and begin to realise they have a job to do!! I'm not holding my breath.
I use G 7 through my phone and I haven’t had any issues what adhesive is on the g7 seems to work just fine only thing it usually starts itching last couple of days but not to bad
So reading through the comments I must be one of the lucky ones that has no issues with the adhesive and rarely loses connection 🤷♂ The one thing I really wish they would address but didn’t mention was the fact that a new sensor can take up to 36 hours before the readings stabilize. @TypeOneTalks - been using your trick of applying the new sensor 12 hours before the start of the grace period (fantastic tip, thank you). When I then switch to the new sensor I can see the readings from both sensors in the app graph at the same time and the lack of correlation ain’t pretty! You should do a video about it 👍
I agree with you on the stabilization time. Last sensor was still so wonkey after 30 hours I changed it out. Massive swings high and then low. Calibrated it 8 times and would not settle down. The current sensor though is behaving itself. Same lot number too.
Still annoyed that the g7 doesn't have the 14 day lifespan. Dexcom designed and engineered it for 14 days but for some damn reason the FDA refused and forced them to set it for 10 days. Absolutely ridiculous. Probably would only require a software update to unlock the feature
I tried the G7 but was having trouble with it lasting 10 days. It either loosened up or quit working early. I had trouble with one staying connected to my pump (T:slim) so maybe the upgrade will help with that too. I went back to using the G6 until they could get those things straightened out. I wasn't the only one having those problems and the person I talked to at Dexcom said they were working on ironing out some of those problems. Now that they have upgraded it and hopefully fixed some of the problems I'll give them another try after I use up my G6 supplies. In the 3 years of using the G6 I think I have had 3 sensors replaced. Two for failing and one because of having an mri. I also had a transmitter replaced for failing. They were always good about it. They have to have a limit on replacements because sadly there are people that abuse it. Thanks for telling us about the upgrades.
@@nordicgod32 Yeah, me too. I loved the faster warm up and the smaller size. I still have like 3 months of G6 sensors plus a transmitter to use so it will be a while before I can try the G7 again. Maybe by then they will only be shipping out the updated version.
I have problems if the pump (T:slim) and watch are not on the same side as the sensor. I don't care for the upper arm suggested placement either. Did not have the problem when I tried a couple of sensor on my abdomen. Ironically those were on the flacky side so I'm back to the arm and dealing with it.
@@dwightl5863 I don't use a phone or watch. Just my pump and it's on same side as sensor unless it's on my thigh. In that case it doesn't matter which side. I used my arm for the G7 and had pump on same side but still ran into problems.
I remember hearing several years ago about research into an implantable CGM where you would have a minor procedure to implant the sensor (similar to having a pacemaker installed, under your collarbone, perhaps) and then it would last for many years without additional intervention. Imagine being able to KNOW your blood glucose with 100% accuracy without any kind of finger sticks, worn devices that need replacement all the time, worry about getting wet or bumped around during sports...? HEAVEN. I love the new G7 (so tiny, so much easier to change than the G6) but what I would love most of all would be never having to worry about my dog pawing off my CGM, or having to get reauthorized for the next version. Just look at my watch and make decisions about food and insulin. We've made amazing progress in my lifetime (I remember when a young T1 friend used to have to use test strips to find out how much sugar was spilling into her urine. Finger sticks glucometers didn't come out for another 10 years. YIKES.) But we can always have more and better innovation, right?
thanks for the great videos !!! ... the problem I have is I sleep 100% of the time on my back ..... that could be a problem with compression ? ... is the SIDE of the upper arm ok ?
Have had high blood sugar for decades , I’m a junk food junkie . Doctor gave me a prescription for metformin , didn’t say anything about needing to test sugar levels with a finger test , and didn’t mention cgm either . This seems Backwards , I could have been using a cgm monitor for years . Anyway I am glad I didn’t take the metformin , I have a g7 and it is useful to know when I am eating too much junk food .
I found the G7 to lose signal loss frequently. I've gone to wearing my T-slim pump in a sports pouch so it can be right next to the G7 sensor. I also had several die before their 10 days service life. The 30 minutes warm up is great. Dexcom, if you see this, please make G7 exceed our expectations, it is vital to us who live, or die (sooner) from BG control. 🙏
I’m using G7 and Omnipod 5. The date for the Omnipod 5 PDM over the air update for G7 integration is 29 July *for existing users*. I was able to pick up my G7 pods about 1 month ago and I have those set aside for now. I made a big deal about O5/G7 intégration on my calendar and cannot wait to see how AID settings differ from my manual settings !
Are you at all worried? My husband's G7 is very often waaay off, like 40-100 points too high. He's type 2 so no pump, but I'm scared that if that happens to me with my pod that it will dump too much insulin and kill me.
Very disappointed with adhesive. Recently change from G6 to G7 and the third sensor change didn't even stay attached for the first day. Dexcom did send a replacement under warranty. Will see how the G7 continues to work Love the updated information on I-Phone in App
I noticed a difference in the G7 a couple of months ago, so I'm pretty sure I have the new adhesive. It looks like there's an extra splotch of adhesive on it, slightly yellow and next to the sensor wire but sitting at about the center of the sensor. It does seem to hold much better! Obviously you'll still need to use the overlay, but I haven't had a sensor come off at all on the ones with the extra little bit of adhesive.
I'm looking forward to using the Dexcom G7 or G8 for my Omnipod. Perhaps I just need to change that with my doctor. The direct connection with a watch and Dexcom is also exciting because nobody wants to carry three or more devices.
My favorite upgrade is the direct share to Apple watch! I have 2 Apple watches but I can only use it with my Series 6. ( I have an older /series 3, also). Thanks so much for your content! It is SUPER HELPFUL!
Yeah it doesn't work with the Series 3 to I upgraded to a Series 7. Then found out that my iPhone Series 8 would not work with the latest version of operating system for my Series 8. Had to get a newer iPhone to get fully operation.
I recently started using the Dexcom G7, and I'm still getting used to it. I found it easier to use the Libre 3, but I switched because I was experiencing signal loss. This was a concern for me because I have issues with low blood sugar levels, and I needed a system that would keep me connected so that my doctor and my husband could monitor it.
I’m on the iLet + G7 and it works great! I have my sensor paired with the pump, my iPhone and Apple Watch. I almost never encounter signal loss problems even pairing with all 3 devices.
I would like to see you do a video about what happens when you go to remove the G7 and the filament is NOT attached to the sensor? What to do if that happens and why did it happen. My last G7 failed during the warm up. When I removed it there was blood around the base of where the filament is and the filament wasn't there anymore. I wear my G7 on my chest as you showed in one of your earlier videos. This is because I watch t.v. lying down and on the back of the arm was giving me pressure false readings and when I sleep I am a side sleeper and again same situation.
I have a love/hate relationship with my Dexcom G7. I use the receiver not phone and have the receiver on my nightstand about 2 feet from me but I get sensor distance alarms almost once a night waking me. I've even put it next to me on the side of my sensor and it still happens with numerous sensors, not just my currant one. Plus having the alarm go off to tell me I'm approaching low then again within a couple of minutes when it hits or goes below the low alarm (no time for the food to take affect before the second alarm goes off) then as my blood sugar increases it goes off again when it hits the low alarm level. Having the alarm sound 3 times each time my blood sugar goes low is beyond annoying. This is both during the day and when I'm trying to sleep. For instance, if I set the low for 65. It alarms when approaching 65 then when it drops below 65 then again when it hits 65 again as it is increasing. Each time I hit OK on the receiver. I've never had such poor sleep in my life since I started using this CGM. The initial incorrect readings for the first 12 hours is another huge issue. I checked it each time this last time I replaced it with a finger prick and it was up to 20 points different from my glucose meter so not only can I not trust the readings but the darn alarms are falsely going off. I love that it does wake me if my glucose drops while I'm sleeping and I don't have to prick my finger as often. The adhesive on the sensor works for me. The overlay gives me a rash but I learned I don't need it and the sensor stays on without it for me.
@@Gorillatgbro I called the company today after my high alarm set at 100 (to allow me to keep an eye on my glucose to see if it is rising or not and to take action if it is) and it alarmed at 102 which was fine but then it alarmed at 112 then 108, 107 and 106. Seriously. 5 alarms within 10 minutes?? I was told I was the only person this rep ever had call because of the number of alarms and they intentionally have the alarms go off this often because the elderly like it and parents of young children. For the receiver, you can't change it. I asked for the R&D team to be told it is very frustrating for that many alarms to go off for either high or low glucose readings and asked if they would add an option to not have it alarm for 15-20 minutes so if we've taken insulin or eaten something it has time to take effect before unnecessary alarms happen. Perhaps if enough people complain they will change this. She told me people with the phone app silence the alarms. That doesn't help people with receivers. If you would call and also complain it might start a chain reaction for them to make some programing changes so we don't have to deal with this.
Hello, you convince me to choose for the G7 even if had to change my phone but I have some questions I don't find any answer. On the Iphone, the Clarity app doesn't work or at least, it doesn't take the data of the G7 app. I red somewhere, it is a known bug which would be fixed by an upgrade soon. But I am also looking how I can both use my phone and the reader if I can use both at the same time. I think it can be interesting for some activities I do.
Dexcom G7 sensors now come with their own overlay patch. I assume that's because they knew the adhesive wasn't great. I wonder if they will continue to provide those overpatches with the improved adhesive. I have used Lexcam clear overlay patches for a long time. I continue to buy them for G7, but I don't waste the patches that come with.....I use them on my infusion sets instead.
When they go to a smaller footprint for the sensor there is less area for adhesive. I always use the overlay and I don't understand what the hang-up is on not using it. It is clear!
When you "Soak" your G7 before pairing it, does that start the clock on the "10 days + 12 hours"? In other words, do you lose the time that you soak the unit from it's total run time? Thank you.
Does the g7 have an internal buffer to hold onto the data until it connects to the phone again? I don't carry my device everywhere I go and hope this little guy is keeping track, it is 2024 after all
I noticed the new adhesive in the US with rev0009 sensors. For me, it is REALLY sticky and I spend more time trying to get the sensor off after 10 days than ever before, and then I have to use a couple of cotton rounds soaked in alcohol to get the adhesive off my skin. But I would rather have this than the previous adhesives.
I have trouble getting them off. Even if I use baby oil or IPA it sticks to my skin like super glue. I think, due to my recent getting of the G7, I'm using the new glue and it's insane. The bluetooth reconnect can be tested by turning bluetooth on and off when you lose signal and if it reconnects immediately you have the new tech. Default reconnect is 5-10 minutes.
I still enjoy my dexcom g6...I suggest 2 things for anyone and any time of cgm. If you get irritated byvtapes..spray generic flonase nasal spray on skin before new sensor. Also to give extra stick..use Skin Tac. I wear my stuff snorkeling, swimming, baths and work a physical job.
What happened to the G7 Android App? I was using my unit during chemotherapy infusions. I still had 5 units left and the App store says my phone is not compatible. This is the same phone 📱 I was using.
I've already noticed the new adhesive. It worked well for me before, this is a bit more finicky to get off, but I'll take it. As to rapid connect, I've heard that if the LBL is underlined, it's supposed to be, but I'm still seeing issues where I have to reset my phone to connect to the sensor. Which probably means the phone needed a reset to begin with. But, whatevs. As to the Apple Watch, that's not my brand of tech. 😛 My sensors tend to fail anyway, for a replacement, so I don't see this affecting me much. I don't track using the app, either. I was on Medtronic for my pump, but I no longer qualify under Medicare. 😏
Great tip about replacement sensors: Never tell them you knocked it off or were at fault in any way; just say it mysteriously failed. On another topic, the one question that jumps out at me: Since Direct-to-Watch is not an Apple creation but is rather a Dexcom innovation, how come it only works with Apple and not with Samsung? Maybe it will, when the new Samsung watches come out this month (July)? And if you already have a Samsung phone, could you just buy an Apple watch and have Direct-to-Watch without an iPhone?
I hate using patches so I've never used them I went through 3 G7's in 5 days because of adhesion problems so hopefully next batch is better fingers crossed currently just back to finger pricking
I just started using the G7. I like that it’s smaller, doesn’t have a separate transmitter and it has a shorter warm up period. I’m having a hard time pushing the button though, it’s frustrating.
This was great! As a dad with T1D kids I do try to stay up to date. I didn't know G7 was able to work with mobi yet, apparently that was just in the last month or so. Do you know if the watch will be WIFI? What I'd love for my kids is to not have to be near phones (we already struggle a lot with this - too much screen time), so they can keep their phones at home or in the nurse's office at school, but be able to connect AND transmit data to WIFI so they can be monitored in the house, yard or school. I'll try to dig into the research myself, but this would be a game changer for us parents who want connected children, but not have to give them direct access to phones at all times.
Thank you for sharing! The watch connection is via bluetooth - direct from sensor to watch without phone. The only issue you might have is that Dexcom follow is not supported yet. In other words, the watch is not able to send the data to the follow app.
My son is using direct to watch. It is great for when he is in gym class and such, but I still prefer that he has the phone near him because that device is the only one that will send the data to my phone via the follow app. When he is out with just the watch, I don’t get any readings on the follow app.
I have lost 2 sensors in the row due to the bad adhesive. One after another, after about 5-6 days from insertion. And that's not a first time, it happens a lot. I stopped my swimming sessions due to the sensors peeling off the skin. In fact even a shower is enough to get overlay patch very soggy and just start coming off. I'm so fed up with this that I have started looking for alternatives. I had one G7 sensor with nice strong adhesive and I thought perhaps all of them will be like this from now on, but unfortunately that's not the case. I'm quite active, cardio or weights training sessions or both almost every day. Apparently that's too much for G7 sensors. It can have 100 amazing features and so what, if it can't even stay on your skin. For me G7 it's rubbish just for that reason! New medtronic looks promising though. If I could only get a sample to try it out it would be great.
I have the dexcom g7 I can not get it to work on my Apple Watch plus I have reciver and the app on iPhone. So not sure what I am doing wrong would be very help full
I use the ultra fast-acting inhaled insulin, Afrezza. I also use the extra fast-acting insulin, Lyumjev. Dexcom does not differentiate between the two on their landscape graph.
I use a little bit of WD40. I started using it to remove the adhesive from medicine patches. A little squirt on a cotton ball or pad works like a charm. I've never had a problem with skin irritation - I just wash with soap and water then wipe with an alcohol pad.
@@kimberlystark3944 WD40 is diesel fuel. not at all good for injection site, skin break, or the skin even if washing off is attempted. Coconut oil or MCT (multi Chain Triglyceride, highly refund coconut oil which can be used in food or oral intake are the safest products to use, not diesel fuel.
I have an underlined 0008 unit that has the bluetooth link to my iWatch. However, during a hike today after about half and hour or so without my iphone the app on the watch indicated it had lost connection to the device. It did reconnect after I'd been back home and had my phone. I don't know if it had anything to do with how much I'd been sweating or not so...
Update: Did another 5.5 mile hike today without the phone and it did not disconnect from my iWatch and I was just as sweaty as yesterday so don't know why it had an issue yesterday.
All are good news, but it's hilarious to hear that rumors about G8 are starting, when in France, we are stuck with the G6 (for "free", so I'm not whining, but still...). I'm eager to see our Health system finally authorize the G7.
TBH, I’ve had poor results with the G7 vs the G6. Readings very off. The adhesive sucked too. The known issue with the first 24 hours yielding erratic readings was a big no for me.
@TypeOneTalks no problem. They did an update a few months back which allowed cross compatibility. Infact you can use the g6 and or g7. You can switch at you chosing. You can message me if you want more info on the pump.
I’m not pre diabetic ( well wasn’t 6 months ago) but idea of having metal filaments in my skin concerns me so probably wouldn’t use even though I am fascinated to comprehend what my typical food choices actually do to my blood sugar levels . Read that we all individuals and some people get spikes with bread and others don’t .
First off the sensor filament that is is in your skin is not metal. And don't let anyone tell you that you will get absolute straight line not be diabetic. Glucose readings go up and down in nondiabetics as well. It is just way more in control.
How long till Android/Samsung watch users get direct to watch? I appreciate the apple closed ecosystem makes it a little easier to push apps like this, but those of us on Samsung watches and phones, and other Google Wear OS based watches would appreciate the same functionality.

I like that it can track Ozempic and Wegovy, i hope that Libre3 and or Ypsopump can get such also.

Using G6 for a few years & love it. Didn’t realize you could use Siri for reading & display. Thanks so much for sharing 😊
This is all good news. Just goes to show how important competition is.

definitely waiting for your video about DIY loop! also thanks for this one!
Direct to watch is a really exciting update!
Yes. It is indeed. Thanks for watching!
I have hypoglycemia from gastroparesis and I'm using the Dexcom G7 and it has been awesome!
That's so great to hear!
If you want it to predict lows when you put the urgent low on 3.9 and the urgent low soon alarm on it will probably do that
Im not sure but it might

I’ve noticed they stick better too! Definitely my favorite.
If the Dexcom G8 were to become real time minute by minute CGM like the Freestyle Libre 3, then that would be a huge game changer.
I love how the proper site to place the device is dependent on where you live.

I like the new adhesive. Good to know. I’ve been using G6 for a few years and like it. I rarely get signal loses unless I’m out of range
Thanks for all the information that you provide.
So reading through the comments I must be one of the lucky ones that has no issues with the adhesive and rarely loses connection 🤷♂
The one thing I really wish they would address but didn’t mention was the fact that a new sensor can take up to 36 hours before the readings stabilize.
Well hopefully now that the Stelo has 15 day wear, the FDA will also approve the G8 with 15 day.
@@RyDawg96 has the g8 even been announced yet?
15 day sensor change should be a huge priority. Apparently they have it for the over the counter version 🤬
Still waiting to use g7 with my tandem pump here in Toronto. Have my endo appointment this week so looking forward to changing.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and your commentary. Wishing you all the best if you decide to give the G7 another chance!
I had the same issues. I was so excited for the G7 and was so disappointed with it.
When will they downgrade the price? Libre 3 is a third of the price.
You mean eversense by Senseonics?
thanks for the great videos !!! ... the problem I have is I sleep 100% of the time on my back ..... that could be a problem with compression ? ... is the SIDE of the upper arm ok ?
Dexcom G7 works with insulin pump ilet as well
Have had high blood sugar for decades , I’m a junk food junkie .
The g7 doesn't lose signal frequently, the stupid tandem pump does.
I wish they'd add support for the Google watches (or at least the FitBit app). But baby steps I suppose.
Are you using the provided overpatch? I don't have a problem with them staying on at all.
That's amazing. Thank you for sharing Julila!
Support for smart watches other than Apple's would be nice
Dexcom G7 is also compatible with the iLet Beta Bionic Pancreas insulin pump. I would love to try this pump someday!
Oh wow! Thanks for sharing that. I must have missed this!
@@TypeOneTalks of course!! 🙂
Where do you order the skin grip patches? They’re expensive, even on Amazon, and I don’t know if Amazon will accept your 10% off code.
Brilliant as always still on g6 with omnipod 5 I'm in the UK so will I be able to upgrade to g7? thanks for a informative video
I go through the exact same thing!
I wonder if we will need the overpatch.
When they go to a smaller footprint for the sensor there is less area for adhesive. I always use the overlay and I don't understand what the hang-up is on not using it. It is clear!
I have rev0009 and they have the new adhesive and the overlay
When you "Soak" your G7 before pairing it, does that start the clock on the "10 days + 12 hours"? In other words, do you lose the time that you soak the unit from it's total run time? Thank you.
Favorite: direct to watch . Least favorite: the new adhesive irritates my skin a bit
Hey! Did you ever try the sinocare iCan CGM? Wonder about your opinion
Does the g7 have an internal buffer to hold onto the data until it connects to the phone again? I don't carry my device everywhere I go and hope this little guy is keeping track, it is 2024 after all
Great video, keep going
I noticed the new adhesive in the US with rev0009 sensors. For me, it is REALLY sticky and I spend more time trying to get the sensor off after 10 days than ever before, and then I have to use a couple of cotton rounds soaked in alcohol to get the adhesive off my skin. But I would rather have this than the previous adhesives.
Does anyone know when the G7 compatible omnipod 5 pumps will be available in the UK? My Type 1 team says not available at present.
Awesome video, but I’m a little confused because I thought the the quick reconnect feature was introduced in December 2023, wasn’t it?
I have trouble getting them off. Even if I use baby oil or IPA it sticks to my skin like super glue.
I think, due to my recent getting of the G7, I'm using the new glue and it's insane.
The bluetooth reconnect can be tested by turning bluetooth on and off when you lose signal and if it reconnects immediately you have the new tech. Default reconnect is 5-10 minutes.
Please make videos on cereals, grains and beans as well.
Why would Flonase help? Wouldn't it prevent sticking? I am sensitive to adhesive and would love to know why and if this really helps.
What happened to the G7 Android App? I was using my unit during chemotherapy infusions. I still had 5 units left and the App store says my phone is not compatible. This is the same phone 📱 I was using.
I went to order the clear grip's because I love to swim but they are out. I like hoe it tell's you the blood sugar leval more quickly.
that is a great information but what about the adhesive situation are they working on that.
You do not need the iPhone at all for Direct-to Watch.
Hi! What about sensor accuracy compared to the glucometer? Thank you!
Great video
Thank you my friend! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I use the ultra fast-acting inhaled insulin, Afrezza. I also use the extra fast-acting insulin, Lyumjev. Dexcom does not differentiate between the two on their landscape graph.
Thanks for the insight. I will let them know!
Thanks😊
I just put a new g7 on today before I watched this. I noticed the adhesive as soon as I opened it. It looks different
I have to use at lease an ounce of Alcohol to remove my G7. The stick to me that is a real chore to remove. I mean a chore.
That was g6 for me.
Try using oil to remove the adhesive, not alcohol. Any oil works
How have yall sensors that fall off any minute and i get skin irritations because the glue is too strong when trying to take it off
And did they reduce the price?
So does it go automatically to my Samsung watch? You didn’t say it was ONLY for Apple…
Is there only 1 sensor in g7 pack??? Can anyone plz guide me what is in the complete set??
Wish they had direct to watch for the Samsung smart watches too.
All are good news, but it's hilarious to hear that rumors about G8 are starting, when in France, we are stuck with the G6 (for "free", so I'm not whining, but still...). I'm eager to see our Health system finally authorize the G7.
Good luck!
Still g6 in Australia here too
Unsure why they can't match the Libre 14 day lifetime.
If you're using an Apple watch with the dexcom system is there any other watches you've tried with the dexcom 7 system.
No I have not. I know they worked on a Grmin integration quite a bit but I don't know the details.
Always received a replacement, just a pain to call
TBH, I’ve had poor results with the G7 vs the G6. Readings very off. The adhesive sucked too. The known issue with the first 24 hours yielding erratic readings was a big no for me.
so if I can get Libre 3 and G7 free which should I get?
I use the G7 with my Beta Bioncs I Let pump here in the US. I thought I would let you know.
Oh wow! Thanks for sharing that. I must have missed this!
How can I use the G6 on my Fitbit?
Can’t G7 duration be more than 10 days ? It’s expensive for only ten days😢.
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
I'd rather have a more accurate sensor over a smaller sensor in the G8...
How long till Android/Samsung watch users get direct to watch? I appreciate the apple closed ecosystem makes it a little easier to push apps like this, but those of us on Samsung watches and phones, and other Google Wear OS based watches would appreciate the same functionality.
G7 has sent a message about her phone is no longer compatible. So it won't be very accurate. Were not buying a new phone for this. 😢
