- Siamp supplies the main WC manufacturers with fittings.
Your cistern might be equipped with a Siamp flushing system.
As the Siamp plug is unique, you might replace the flush valve without dismantling the cistern.
Easy renovation !

My Siamp Cistern fills with water, but when I push the Dual Flush button (Optima 50) to empty into the WC pan it only provides a tiny amount of water and then shuts off. How do I resolve this issue ??
Why water wont work
I have 49 but when I flush it gets stuck in the up position. If I wiggle and jiggle it it eventually falls back down. Any suggestions?
Hi Siamp. My toilet currently has an "Optima 49" fitting.
On your website you list the current flush valve models available as "Optima 50”, "Optima S", "Skipper 45" and "Storm 33A".
Could you confirm please which of those models would fit into the bracket an "Optima 49" currently is connected to?
Will any of them fit?
I did look on your website, but it is difficult to tell from the product photos as you show them all mounted, not detached.
Thank you
Hi,
All siamp outlet valves are designed with the same plug. Then you can replace your optima49 by any other outlet valve in Siamp range without removing the tank. In your case, we recommand double flush valve as Optima49-OptimaS or Optima50 (cable operated).
Hi. To install the plug is there a special seal needed? My flush valve is leaking and I have removed the valve and plug. Can this just be screwed back in? As I am hoping to not have to remove the cistern.
Hi, If your toilet were already equiped with SIAMP fittings, you can replace the outlet valve without removing your cistern (and you don't need to change the seal neither screws). However if the outlet valve you need to replace is not a SIAMP one, you have to change the whole outlet valve (even plug) by removing cistern. Then you have to use new plug, seal and screws supplied with the SIAMP fittings you have purchased.
All the videos I see are to replace the rubber diaphragm if the cistern is flushing too slow. I successfully replaced this a while ago. Now I have a problem with the flush failing to cut off, and carrying on to pour non-stop, down the overflow tube. Is there another washer somewhere that may have failed? What is the function of the small round cap at the top of the fill valve?
If you find that the water is flowing down the overflow tube that's probably because you didn't set right the water level. You have to adjust the water level thanks the inlet valve (in turning the screw which controls float’s position.)
Then you have to take care to keep 2cm between the water level and the overflow of your outlet valve.
A new video tutorial will soon be available to explain this setting. In the meantime you can see an example here: ruclips.net/video/1Vj-EdRFzzo/видео.html (from 4:30)
I'm pretty confident i have an Optima 49 system which the i think the bracket mechanism has broke on [5 years old now] - can i drop the cabled variant [Optima 50] straight in as a replacement? Also, struggling to remove the 49 via the quarter turn release.....
Dear Bobby, absolutely ! You can replace your Optima 49 with an Optima 50 without removing your tank. 1/4 turn will be enough to remove the Optima 49 from the plug, and 1/4 turn to install your new Optima 50 😉 . If it’s complicated to remove your installed outlet valve it’s probably because of the limestone present. We advise you to add white vinegar in your tank to try to clean everything.
hi what is the slider switch at the bottom used for?
The grey slider switch on the flush valve is to adjust the water level
I need to replace a skipper. Will any model of siamp flush valves fit the plug?
Yes absolutely, the skipper 45 has the same plug as our other mechanisms, you can easily replace it with our Optima models
Do all siamp flush valves twist to remove? The cable broke where it connects to the button so I got a replacement cable, but for some reason after a few flushes it fails? It’s like where the cable connects to the flusher, the plastic thing that pushes up on the flusher gets stuck up, causing the button not to return to its normal position? I believe it’s a 49/50 model
Dear Jason, you probably have an Optima 50 model and all our outlet valve twist a quarter turn to remove. Did you check that your cable was not touching the edge of your tank or was not under too much tension? I suggest you watch the following video to check the installation of your cable (ruclips.net/video/uhl7ZHD77bk/видео.html). Please let us know if your problem is resolved.
What is the bottom of the flush (the screw part) supposed to connect to?
Is it supposed to hit on something that brings up the lever to flush?
I think there is a part missing or broken
Hi Jess, can you specify which model of outlet Valve do you have ? Cable (Optima 50) or bracket (Optima S/49/Switch22) ?
Having same problem, flush screw just seems to collapse with nothing to screw into (the grey thread)
So according to the button design I have either an Optima 49 or 50. How can I tell which one I have. What’s the difference, are they interchangeable?
Dear John, the Optima 50 have a cable system while the 49 a simple bracket. No matter which one you have the 2 are quite interchangeable
@@SIAMPMonaco My toilet currently has an "Optima 49" type flushing valve.
Will any of the "Optima 50", "Skipper 45", "Optima S" and "Storm 33A" fit into the bottom mounting-bracket, or will only the "Optima 50" fit into an existing "Optima 49” installation?
Thank you
Hi. We have a 50 I think. It in a cistern with no lid as it’s hidden behind the units. There’s only a few inch gap around the cistern top beneath the sealed work top. I can get my hand in and easily twist and release the unit but then I can’t get it out the gap so replacing it would mean removing the work top which incorporates the sink and is all nicely sealed in. Can I just replace the the button and mechanism behind the button and the wire to the 50? The problem is that the button doesn’t always release and the toilet can just keep flushing. Hope I’ve described well and thanks in advance.
Dear Steve, it would be easier for us if you could contact us by mail adding some photos of your installation. So our teams will be able to help you as well as possible and provide you with the spare part to change if necessary. Please contact us at the following address : info@siamp.co.uk
Mine does exactly this and has the same setup as yours. Did you manage to fix it?
Hi, my flush valve doesn't return to the closed position after the cistern has emptied. Will replacing the flush cable help this? Is there anything else that may cause the issue? Thanks
Dear Robert, you should first check if the seal of your outlet valve is not damaged, cracked or full of limestone. We have another video tutorial for that on our channel to help you.
hi how to adjust water level in these kind of toilets?
The water level is adjusted by the inlet valve : with SIAMP inlet valves, this setting is done with the screw which controls float’s position.
Take care to keep 2cm between the water level and the overflow.
I need to replace the rubber washer at the bottom of the flush valve, but the flush valve will not move. I don't want to force it incase it breaks. I have tried the procedure on other toilets in the house and the flush valve is easily removed with a twist. However, in one toilet, it will not move at all. Why is this? Has it been incorrectly fitted?
Hello,
The problem seems to be a deposit of limescale in your toilet cistern.Directly applying a limescale remover or vinegar can help remove these deposits.

I have the Optima 49 and have a little trickle of water going into the toilet bowl. I have removed the old 49 and replaced it with a new Optima 49 but the water trickle is still there.. can you advise what the problem might be? Thanks
I have tried to unscrew the valve but it won't budge. Have the earlier versions always had the screw fitting too please?
Dear Janet, our valves have always been designed with this plug system that can be easily unscrewed in a quarter turn. Are you sure you have a SIAMP product ? Your valve (if it's a old one) can also be blocked because of too much limestone.
My Cistern keeps whistling! Driving us mad.
