What I like the most about Iga (apart from her humbleness) is how intelligent she is. She is an avid reader outside the court and a very intelligent player on court who can figure out solutions whenever she is pushed. Incredible Iga!

It was so hard to choose between Iga and Ons and I LOVE Ons Jabeur very much, but Iga has been on a different level all season. Her mental strength, her resilience and her ability to fight back really sets her apart from anyone else on the WTA, not to mention, her incredible tennis IQ and playing style. She knows how to win even when she isn't at her best. That's a champion right there.

honestly Iga was the underdog before the match began I think many people ddint think or expect Iga would win because she hasn't been playing her best form lately. Even myself (I'm igas big fan) ddint expect she would win. In the previous match press conference I commented "hopefully Iga finds her level of tennis that she played during her streak in the finals" and that exactly happened ... Iga served lot better and very minimal forehand errors unlike her previous matches. Igas mentality is growing exactly like a true champion even not playing her best she still got through semis and in finals she was able to find her level of tennis. And not to forget she's only 21. Its really commendable to see her mad skills and most importantly her mentality. Truly worthy no 1 player.

In answering the questions Iga shows great maturity for her age, knows herself well, and she is still only 21. It has been a while since the last time we had a 21-year-old male or female winning 3 Grand Slams. In recent years we have had a few very talented female players starting what looked like very promising careers (winning 2, or even 4 Grand Slams), only to start later to lose focus (o to retire early). I like Iga, and wish her well, and do hope that she will continue her focus on her career, never lose her drive to compete, and keep improving and winning more titles and Grand Slams.

When the crowd supports Ons and whistles Iga, they think they're doing justice.
There is no fairplay anymore. Our occidental world went partial and martial, against itself.
You have to support the non-white player, not only to prove you're no racist, but also because it would be unfair to support the white, because the white don't "have" to win.

Iga please, don't let this win get into your head. New York will treat you like royalty, like you're the greatest thing since sliced bread. Decline most of these coronations and go to the next tournament. Look at the last two open winners. They took the foot off the pedal after their wins and could not get back in the race since.

      That is so true.
And I feel like the American media sees the US Open as the greatest slam of the four and downgrade the others...

She deserves the hype of world no.1! But i am pretty sure she won't go downfall, like Stephens, Osaka, Andreescu and Raducanu did! Her mentality is on another level!

A bit wrong. Osaka won the US Open in 2020 and then won the next slam the Aussie Open in 2021... 2 slams in a row.

Queen, whenever people are doubting her she comes back as slaps them with reality check. Now @usopen you better give her respect and stop putting her on side courts. Same applies to Wimbledon.
