Beautiful timbre colours and flavors! The notes blends together smoothly and evenly. Your mind feelings flowing through your fingers is so graceful. I had tears of beauty flowing through my mind and heart. Well played and thank you for taking time to share your experience and talents with the world. God bless you my friend.
Just clicked through a few videos because I‘m thinking about getting me this guitar for my birthday next week. Found this. Really sir this is full of emotion. Really enjoying this right now.
Wonderful tone, I had and liked very much mm11s on my Martin 000-15m.. It is time for my string change several months of playing the Martin silk and steel they are soft but finally worn and today going back to the MM 11s retros will be interesting
Just ordered one from Sweetwater. Man, does your video bring chills. This thing sounds incredible. I may need to try those Retros after I break her in. Awesome playing and great sound. Probably the best video on this guitar on the net. Bravo!
I've bought a 00015m since my last comment. I came across this video again today and luckily have some Martin retros in my string box. They are going on tonight. Thanks again Jack
I have the same guitar, except I had them leave the pickguard off at the factory. I just put the Retro strings on it and was looking for anyone else that did that when I ran across your video. Hearing your beautiful rendition of that song made me so happy that I had chosen those strings. Thank you sir! Do you know where i might find the tabs for that song?
I love the tone of that guitar.....and YOU sure know how to get some amazing sounds from it! I'm back again to listen to this and compare it to the Sigma. Thanks for posting! Did you do a set up on that guitar when you got it or was the action good from the factory?
Probably way too late for this to help, but I'd say do not get the Anthem. I got an Anthem SL installed in my Martin 000-15m, and it sounds awful. Super boomy and bassy on the low E and A strings. I had to file down part of the saddle to reduce the boominess, and it still doesn't sound right. Curious which pickup you went with and how it sounds for you, if you care to share.
Excellent playing!!! I've been sold on the Martin Retro strings recently myself. Are they lights? Sounds great on the all mahogany Martin. You've probably been asked this before, but are there any tabs close to your arrangement available anywhere? Thank you.
+BluesDan321 Thank you! Yes - the retro strings are lights. I have no tabs for my specific arrangement, but you can look if you find the arrangement by Scott Tennant. I started with that.
+Jack Isidore Thank you. I'll investigate Scott Tennant's tabs. By the way, excellent job on "Michelle" also. I see you used D'addario ej16's with that song, and those have been my other choice of strings. Coincidentally, before I ever saw any of your videos, the Martin 000-15m is going to be my next guitar! That's how I found your vids in the 1st place. A man after my own heart! Take care.
hi jack!I‘m considering buying a new guitar and 00015m is one of my targets. i have a few questions ,its great pleasure if you could answer them for me . i'm wondering if this guitar is comfortable to play with. how do elixir strings fit this guitar. can i play Masaaki Kishibe songs with this guitar ,how does the sound perform if i play flower or miracle mountain. after you use this guitar, do you think it's worth buying? thxxxxx!
+张小米 Hi - I can say is that this guitar is *very* comfortable to play! The Sound is good for any fingerstyle Song - but it's a special sound compared to spruce top guitars. I personally don't like Elixir Strings on Martin guitars, so I can't say anything on that topic ;-) Cheers, Jack
Hi Jack, how long have you been playing guitar? Or are you also playing a different instrument? Just curious since you do it so well. You might be a pro guitarist since you have a lot of videos on RUclips. Keep strumming and I always follow and listening to your music. Thanks.
Thank you very much, Harold! I've been playing the guitar since my youth, and it's my only instrument. But I'm just an amateur, mostly self-taught. I play just for fun in my leisure time. I am so happy, that I discovered RUclips for me and can so reach such a great audience. Thanks again to you and all the others for watching and your kind comments!
Sean Armao You should buy the guitar that is the most easiest to play for you. That's the most important thing, especially for beginners, I think. Another thought: this martin is kind of a 'special' guitar. Very good, but ... special! A spruce top guitar should be more versatile.
I was a beginner with 2k to burn and I went with a Taylor 314ce. Awesome tone, spruce top with sapele back and sides. The GA shape body is more versatile too
That is the sound you want right there...warm, inviting, timeless. I play retro lights on my Epiphone Hog.
So calming... I can smell the guitar just from watching the video. I love it to death
I appreciate this very much, my friend. Thank you very much, and all the best to you!
felt this in my chest. incredibly beautiful
Thank you very much!
Wow,....such emotional playing on such a tear-jerker.
Just clicked through a few videos because I‘m thinking about getting me this guitar for my birthday next week. Found this. Really sir this is full of emotion. Really enjoying this right now.
Thank you very much, Florian!
Just ordered a 000-15M Streetmaster! Will add retro strings as well, like your playing
love the song and your playing. The guitar is wonderful, no flash just great sound a working persons instrument.
Thank you!

I have the sm and have been using retro strings on it for almost 3 years! Love it
Just ordered one from Sweetwater. Man, does your video bring chills. This thing sounds incredible. I may need to try those Retros after I break her in. Awesome playing and great sound. Probably the best video on this guitar on the net. Bravo!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful..!! Great feeling and great recording, thank you!
+ptalley316 Thanks for watching and for your kind comment!
Thanks for the tip … I have put Retro strings on my 15m and love them.
I've bought a 00015m since my last comment. I came across this video again today and luckily have some Martin retros in my string box. They are going on tonight. Thanks again Jack
+Mickymillersson Cool! I hope, you like them on your Martin!
Beautiful tune, great playing. Appreciate the tip on the strings. Love my mahogany 000-15

Great rendition of a classic - best I have heard - puts me back on wanting a 00015m

Man that was beautiful. Thanks for the music.
+Jacob Clark Thanks for watching and for your kind comment!
Beautiful song and playing
Thank you!
I'll try these strings on my martin 00-15
Beautiful tune
Thanks!
I have these on my martin 0-17 custom shop and they sound great.
What a beautiful song. This is next on the list after I finish up The Last Steam Engine Train
Beautiful. I need to be sitting at the cabin playing this lol
Just ordered the 15M
I got my 00015m. Now I need a cabin! What a great image! :)
This is beautiful.
Thank you!
Beautiful, thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful! I ordered one.
Thanks! Good choice!
Beautiful playing, beautiful guitar ❤️
Thank you!
Jack Isidore notice you have the sigma too? I’m considering either the 00 or 000...big price difference between the sigma and Martin...🤔
Yes, and soundwise they are not even close. Completely different.
I loved my 000-15M already but god do these strings make the mahogany shine
Did you try the D'Addario's phosphor bronze EJ38 light gauge ? I thing they're the best for this guitar, specially during the first two weeks
@@bellerophonmusic2139 that’s why I don’t like D’addarios , they die so quickly. Stringjoy on my Electrics
That sounded awesome 👍
Thank you 😊
Thanks brother this is beautiful. Are you using retro 12 gauge?
Thanks! Yes, I'm using 12
Beautiful
Thanks!
Wonderful.
+Derrick Ryan Thanks!
I have a D-15M Burst. It wears Retros and, yeah, they're are a match made in heaven! ;)
Mediums or lights
I alternate between "LJ"'s and "Tony"'s
i try to learn this beautiful song but it's difficult, do you have the tablature ? (excuse my bad english !)
Hi I don’t have the tabs but perhaps you may find it if you search for Scott Tennant, it’s his arrangement
@@JackIsidore thank you very much Jack !
This is amazing. I keep coming back to it. Do you think a 000-15sm would sound similar?
Thanks - yes I think so. Perhaps even better. More balanced
@@JackIsidore is the 00-15M better or not?
I like the 000 more. It sounds fuller
@@JackIsidore ok thanks!

Thanks, Bill! Perhaps you could find tabs if you google "wild mountain thyme - Scott Tennant"
Just super. Thank you for sharing! Do you recommend these strings on other wood combos, e.g spruce/mahogany or spruce/rosewood?
Thanks. I find them not so perfect on spruce top. But you always have to try! Every combo is different
Fantastic playing as always. Do you have a preference between the the D15 and the 00015m?
Thanks Jake! Personally, I like the 000s and OMs much more than the dreadnoughts.
I love the tone of that guitar.....and YOU sure know how to get some amazing sounds from it! I'm back again to listen to this and compare it to the Sigma. Thanks for posting! Did you do a set up on that guitar when you got it or was the action good from the factory?
+Tom E Muncey Thanks, Tom! The action was perfect for me. No need for any setup.
I just bought one. Would you recon a K&K trinity pro systems, LR Baggs anthem or Fishman Infinity for this? Help! :)
Sorry - I can't tell because I don't use pickups ....
Do you like phosphor bronze or the retro Monel strings better on the all mahogany?
The monel sound really great on this. Woody. I like this very much. But you have to try yourself. For some kind of music phosphor bronze sound better
Hello Jack can you tell me what set of retro strings you are using... thanks for the great music..Craig
Hi Craig, this were Martin Retro Monel MM12 light
Thank you, and all the best!
@@JackIsidore Hello Jack THANK YOU FOR GETTING BACK TO ME. AND THANK YOU FOR THE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC....

Sounds gorgeous. How would you describe the different between the Martin SP strings and the Retros?
Thanks! The Retros have a more dry and woody sound.
Mediums or light ?
Great video Jack!!! Do you know the difference between a 000-15m and the gpc-15me? Thankss
Thanks! The GPC is bigger, and has a pickup. It's designed to be used on stage

Making me wonder if I got a dud. My 000-15 sounds good but not that good!
If you have the tabs for this, it would be awesome
Thank you very much, but I'm sorry, I have no tabs. I learned it by ear.
If you had 2 grand to spend on one and you are a beginner still, what would you get? Been looking at this and some taylors.
Sean Armao You should buy the guitar that is the most easiest to play for you. That's the most important thing, especially for beginners, I think. Another thought: this martin is kind of a 'special' guitar. Very good, but ... special!
A spruce top guitar should be more versatile.

How are you liking the retro strings on your 000-15m, compared to the phosphor bronze? Thank you.
I liked them very much - especially on this guitar. They are a bit dryer and woodier than PB, I would say. Very nice.
Wow, do you have a tab for your arrangement?
thanks! but sorry, I have no tab
what strings do you have on your 00015?
Hi jack, how thick is the neck of the martin 000-15m?
Hi, it is a relatively thin, modern "C"-shape. Very good to play :-)
Some tabs ,please
que bonito!
Thank you!
wow wirklich schön
Danke, Andreas!
sehr schön :-)
+Stefan Weigelt Danke, Stefan :-)
great guitar and strings: perfect marraige
Wonderful. Now get a Martin 000-15SM .... ;-)
zero dislikes. and rightly so.
Perfect for Country. Colter Wall use the 00-17 of 1937
Why am I thinking "fit along little doggie"? Rhetoric question
Read your comment, now I cant un-hear it. Thanks alot.
I hate it when it done. I wake up from my cowboy dream
nice playing, but sorry that's a crap mic for acoustic. Shure 57?
Mon dieu. All this silly talk about Strings.
Sounds nice, wish people would play the actual song and not the utter shit Tennant arrangement.
Very nice, and talented player-but entirely too much 'slide noise' to be termed as 'great'. Just adequate.
Beautiful
Thank you!
beautiful playing
Thank you!
