    good review, I think not worth it just because of that sound. a beautiful sounding engine is more important than 1 bhp.

    • @AbhishekDaniel
      @AbhishekDaniel  2 месяца назад

      @ I understand the sound is coming from the valves. The valve setting recommended by TEC is close to the stock values. And in that settings, this sound is normal. If you have to get rid of it then may be we have to go with a tighter clearance which will affect the life. I don’t want to risk that and hence I’m ok with the noise for now.

    • @AbhishekDaniel
      @AbhishekDaniel  2 месяца назад

      @ Bro it’s in the factory recommend settings now 😅

      @AbhishekDaniel  2 месяца назад

      @@Tonymarony5113 haha lol. for one last time let me try to make things clear. I didn't have the noise before TEC cam. I installed the TEC cam with the factory clearance settings as the factory settings fall in the range of TEC recommendation. Now the engine makes sound. Now that I have already installed it, I don't want to remove it and have got to live with the sound. Yes the cams themselves don't make sound but the configuration with the valves do. That's kind of understood but then again I'm not here to judge. I agreed on the comment thinking that if I knew I'd have this sound with just a gain in 1bhp power, I wouldn't have installed it. Now are you clear mister with the most sorted out head? If not, ask other owners with TEC cam installed.

    Felt the same results with mine and my friends Tec camshaft. Easily achieves 120, even 140+ too with even a bit of throttle left on map 1. i also feel the initial pickup has increased a bit. Also you can feel the changes when you do offroad trails. The only con is the clicky noise you said, but my mechanic has minimized it slightly than it would normally do. maybe he adjusted the timings

      Glad to know you got the same results. I was mislead by other RUclips videos into thinking it’ll give a significant performance difference. Nevertheless I wouldn’t go back to stock but would love to Dyno tune it to make full use of the cam.

    After installing CAM you have to tweak the air flow mixture by ECU mapping as yours is Fi engine. I have installed TEC CAM on 2016 Carbureted Himi.. The power difference before & After is totally evident, as in case of carburetor (Mechanically Dumb) with little tuning it is working brilliantly, a stock Himi will feel underpowered after riding my Himi the one with TEC CAM...!

      After this video I did install the Powertronics and dynotuned it. I barely got a 2bhp increase in power and 3nm of torque. IRL it isn’t even noticeable except that fueling issues were sorted after it. Mine is a BS6 and it’s severely restricted by pollution norms. BS3 Himalayans are the best since it’s much more tweakable and lighter. It’ll make use of the cam better.

      @AbhishekDaniel check with @ontwoheelben and get the map he is been using. After watching his review i got TEC CAM installed, around 20 -25% power increase is evident as i have felt on my BS3 himi..

    Bro I think it's a Tappet noise or Tensioner noise. I bet it's not TEC cam shart install cause this issue.
    Tappet had to be adjusted after the installation to better fit the new camshaft, please try recommend Tappet space from TEC engineering team by email.

      Yes I did contact the TEC team regarding valve settings and went with whatever they recommended. Thanks for your concern but this is the TEC cam's natural noise. Other users of this cam have also reported the same in the forums so this isn't anything unusual.
