The camshafts are all now supplied with the pin pressed in (the early versions weren’t and even with a vice they took some pressing in!). Also they seem to have got their quality control improved - some early versions (mine included) had to go back for replacement as there were significant blemishes on the cam lobes that you could see & feel with a finger nail. I’ve now done 5k miles with mine on a BS6 and it was a great addition along with DNA air filter/Delkevic exhaust & Fuel-X Pro.
Hi ben, your videos are really informative and helpful just one clarification i wanted that what exactly is the decompressor use that the company is giving it and whether changing the camp shaft would affect the engine life in any wayy...??
I fitted a Tec camshaft to my Himalayan. The bike starts fine without the decompressor. My bike is also fitted with a free flow exhaust and a DNA air filter. The new camshaft made a real difference. I wanted. bit more power mainly for better motorway performance. After fitting the camshaft I also fitted a 16T gearbox sprocket to raise the gearing a bit. The bike now has noticeably more urge and can hold 75mph on the motorway quite easily 2 up.
I'm hoping to get one too, let's see how it goes. Just for everyone's information, it spins at half the crankshaft speed, so your rpm/2 gives you the camshaft speed.
NMW racing also has a performance camshaft for sale on their site and it's way cheaper than what the TEC one retails for. Do you think it's better or even on the same level as the TEC one?
Hi Ben, was your friend charged with an custom duty in India on the cam when he brought it from England. Kindly provide this info so that I can ask my friend to purchase one for me as he lives in Germany.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience 🙏
I'm also looking forward to this camshaft, my friend is coming in October mid, and I also plan to install it soon.
I’m starting to wonder if there are any original parts left on your bike?
the chasis and the engine are still original.

I hear it is a good cam .
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN Between the TEC and the NMW, which one would you choose?
Tec camshaft can be installed in bs3 ? Will it increase the bhp and torque for bs3?
I heard from a subscriber that he installed it successfully
Hi Ben, Is it beneficial to install quick throttle on Himalayan? Any recommended brand? Waiting for your reply ☺️
Never install a quick throttle on a long stroke bike . Also always have atleast 2-3 mm free play in throttle for a long stroke motor .
@@ONTWOWHEELSBENThanks Ben , got it 😌👍
