@Eintracht-uy3cz because most of the dogfights don't actually represent actual combat. Sure a Typhoon is going to fly circles around a F-35. They really don't. With the exception of the IRST being missing, all 3 felt the same to me in a practical sense.
@@TimsVariety ah, thank you! I enjoy your succinct and well-researched videos!
The typhoon still feels like an unfinished aircraft. By the time war thunder fixes these shortcomings I’m sure other nations such as the USA will have their own top tier jet such as the f18. I don t know if that’s necessary a bad thing however.
f18 doesn't bring anything new to US
Hey, tim a bit of a correction the german EF2000 uses the aim9L/I-1 which has a smokeless motor (gaijin forgot to rename the stock aim9l/i to its -1)
I knew about this, but didn't want to go on a long tangent - there is some debate if this is intentional (the LI-1 vs LI) and/or the specific model it gets will be patched. It wasn't worth delaying the review over, since they change shit so damned often anyway. :-\
@TimsVariety completely valid, honestly I'd rather the Ef2k get the base L/I cause it's funny making people think its a 120 and eat a aim9
Do you do these videos on Linux (since you mentioned you use Gentoo), or do you use it for work or something?
I don't do a lot of gaming on Gentoo any more, but I use it for my secondary desktop and home server. I've been running Gentoo since the early 2000s, and actually made some contributions to the SPARC64 port since I had access to Sun SPARC hardware to test it on (I'm one of the 0.0000000001% who actually ran Sun Solaris on SPARC as my daily-driver desktop at home for a while). I also run Gentoo on my workstation at the office.
so how do i use aim 120s on the f4f ice to even grind this plane
Check my channel vids for my tutorial on air to air missiles.
@TimsVariety i can try
I just hope there is one for this one missile that explaind how to use im conundrum with the 24 bombs i carry on the f4f ice
@@FM-hw8yv I promise, my radar guide and missile guide will answer all your questions.
I just barely started grinding for this jet and i already want to kms
They fixed the gun port model issue by the way
A while back, they fixed a bug literally AS I was uploading a review video. Epic timing, as always :-)
Hey Tim, its actually the AIM9L/I-1 which has a smokeless motor as well. so its basically a 9M ^^ good review as always =)
See other comment threads on here about that topic.
There is contention/confusion about the 9L/I , and it may be patched (again) so I didn't want to delay the video's release over such a minor bit of minutia.
@ oh okay, thanks for the info =)
A bit bummed that the Rafale seems to be relegated to being just ok, but I’m
Not sure how close they are in real life or if gaijin did the typical nerf France
Im having a great time with the Rafale so far, my review will be fairly positive.
@ awesome to hear! Haven’t gotten their yet but I love the French fighters, I was only going based on what people were saying
The rafale feels very nice you can easily dogfight everything except for the euro fighter
shouldnt it get 10 missiles? it literally says that on the steam page.
Eurofighter, Rafale, and still no Hornet :(
I'm purely annoyed cause the Germany ef has a place holder radar still..
There is also some confusion about if the AIM-9L/I-1 is intentional (vs the AIM-9L/I) and the specs its supposed to have. I expect them to patch the German one fairly soon.
Small correction
Gaijin decided to give the German eurofighter the Aim-9L/-1 that also has a smokeless motor making it in game at least identical to the 9M
See other comments about it.

Why are we having 9L stock at 14.0 that's goofy af bruh
God,this plane is sexy...
No Meteors for the Brits?
Not *yet*
Ah. As red team sim player I going to have more worse time 😅
Great review, but i do have a question about the 9L/I. Ive been hearing that it does not have IRCCM. Do they actually have it in game? I trust your information more than the other places ive heard the opposite from.
I believe its supposed to, but there is also some confusion about what the exact model of the 9L/I on the German EF is supposed to be. I'm expecting a patch at some point in the near future, so I didn't spend a lot of time on it.
@TimsVariety thank you.
something something wrong enemy
bro really said vid instead of saying video
good video overall tho
Hot take, I don’t like the look of the Euro Typhoon.
lets gooo
lol watching your vid and test flying typhoon in game.. noticing they changed the gun port and it is now uncovered (yesterday was covered).. minute later, you talk about it being closed in the vid... so sad news, but your vid is outdated now:D
They looooove to do that to me. Earlier this year they updated a plane WHILE my vid was uploading....
Finnaly russia is getting taste of own medicine in top tier sim ground battles being wiped out by brimstone from range they cant do shit about
Why are german things always worse than the others.... same shit everytime.
In a practical sense, the differences are incredibly minor. The German version is still an absolute beast in combat.
@@TimsVariety Sure. But a laser warning system or a nice targeting pod would be nice to get. But nuhu not for germany.... i just don't like that because that happens so fuckin often.
@AdiLPTV Well you got to take it up with the Luftwaffe then. Gaijin didn't randomly decide to not give it to the German version
@@Hunter-ww9rd Ah you mean like the Phz2000 that is known for its fast reload that now is at 10 sec and is worse in any way than the 0.3br higher Vidar. Sure. Guessing that's also on the Bundeswehr that they forgot to add it to the vehicles. And that ⅕ of the vehicles are fake in this game but the germans get theirs taken away is clearly the stupidity of the Wehrmacht. No no. Gay jin always tries to help Germany, but the germans are the ones that they don't li... ohhh i mean that make it difficult. Or with the Tiger 2 P being at the same BR as the better Tiger 2H or even things like the T34 and then we're not even talking about the 7.7 vehicles. Or the FlaRakRad that doesn't even need to spawn in when there is a Pantsir. Or the Spike puma being at 11.0 because the spikes are sooo good that it would be op if they would hit anything. But no no, its not gay jins fault. Or the slow ass Me262 with its slow ass Mk108 being on 7.0 so it can fight the Su11 that is like 3x as fast or the F89B that even got an afterburner on 7.0. and then we didn't even talk about the Me's on 8.0 that get fucked by missles and are slowe than all the other, the match is over when you get there because those lil rockets only last 2:30min. Afte that you're are a 7.0 Me262 on 8.0. Yes.... this CAN'T be Gay jins fault.
Do you know the definition of insanity? Insanity is, doing the exact same fuckin thing over and over again and expecting things to change. That is crazy.
German has AIM9 L/I-1 not AIM9 L/I
