Today is my birthday and it felt like a lovely package with a bright red bow to find this video on this day. You always do such a wonderful job and I had already accepted that you would probably not be posting again until spring. I know it was cold and the ground was hard, but it was such a delight to see you pull so many relics from the ground. That infinity pin is both attractive and unusual. I really enjoyed watching this hunt.

At 9:00 the item is called a "belt ramp" or a "belt support hook" in English. What it looks to be is the belt hook for the Luftwaffe WW2 tropical/Afrikakorps shorts (I believe they were also used on some tropical long trousers as well). The hook were sewn like an inverted "U" withing the waist band so the regular 5cm wide equipment belt would act as the belt to hold up the pants. Such hardware could find it's away to other clothing items as well. Cheers! Vit from CZ

Hans, first of all, great channel. I just discovered it a few days ago, and after watching a few of the newer ones went back to #1 and started at the beginning....about half way through now. You may have solved this by now in one of the videos I haven't seen yet, but the small brass/bronze rings that you keep finding I may have an idea. They may be rings from a corset (woman's undergarment) that they ran the lace or ribbon through to tighten it. The time period would be right along with the 1700-1800's coins and relics you find in the fields. Anyway, love the channel...I lived in Frankfurt for several years recently - in fact, had my retirement ceremony in the Ritterkeller of Ronneburg castle that is in your introduction! Today is my birthday and it felt like a lovely package with a bright red bow to find this video on this day. You always do such a wonderful job and I had already accepted that you would probably not be posting again until spring. I know it was cold and the ground was hard, but it was such a delight to see you pull so many relics from the ground. That infinity pin is both attractive and unusual. I really enjoyed watching this hunt.

At 9:00 the item is called a "belt ramp" or a "belt support hook" in English. What it looks to be is the belt hook for the Luftwaffe WW2 tropical/Afrikakorps shorts (I believe they were also used on some tropical long trousers as well). The hook were sewn like an inverted "U" withing the waist band so the regular 5cm wide equipment belt would act as the belt to hold up the pants. Such hardware could find it's away to other clothing items as well. Cheers! Vit from CZ

Hans, first of all, great channel. I just discovered it a few days ago, and after watching a few of the newer ones went back to #1 and started at the beginning....about half way through now. You may have solved this by now in one of the videos I haven't seen yet, but the small brass/bronze rings that you keep finding I may have an idea. They may be rings from a corset (woman's undergarment) that they ran the lace or ribbon through to tighten it. The time period would be right along with the 1700-1800's coins and relics you find in the fields.
Anyway, love the channel...I lived in Frankfurt for several years recently - in fact, had my retirement ceremony in the Ritterkeller of Ronneburg castle that is in your introduction! All the best....Scott
