Also you can disconnect the microphones on your roofs for noise cancellation and the factory amp on passenger side front under dash right side floor panel the purple wire cut it. I have a 2020 Malibu an did that took out the electric sound in my subs just a pointer if you ever run into that good work tho wanting to add a aftermarket radio to mines for better output
Great video, bro. COUPLE QUESTIONS 1. The rear deck speakers. You didn't want to install any? I know you have a sub,but it was a great opportunity to install some. 2. Did you have to run the RCA to the head unit? I see the RCA went to the amp only. I have an amplifier already installed, but it only has the 2 RCA inputs that are already in use. Can you run the rear deck speakers to the converter? Tapping into the factory wire.
Yeah that would be a great opportunity to add rear deck speakers, its my friend car so he just wanted subs but I had an older acura TL at a point and I installed a sub and aftermarket rear deck speakers just with tapping into the rear speakers I was able to have an amp for the speaker and one for the subs So no I did not run the RCA to the head unit, since I tapped into the rear door speakers I connected the converter there BUT if the car had rear deck speakers I would of tapped into the rear speakers instead... way easier that way.
Skip that LOC. Most new cars have AUX port. Get a aux splitter for your phone, adapt one line out to RCA into your amp, the other aux goes into the cars aux port. Separate volume controls but way more signal. BOOM
Yeah i learned my lesson on my last car but i had 20x the power lol i had a single custome 18 on a dc audio 3.5k at half ohm i had 2 runs ofc 0 gage wire 240 amp mecman ho alt and hertz audio 4chan all skar interior speakers rear batterys all that but it destroyed my old car never again unless its a beater car once yiu start poping shit off it never especially doors its never gonna fit thr same and a 1000 watt amp on a stock battery and alt wit no big 3 upgrade is a terrible idea
So just the amplifier with the subwoofer is enough for Chevy Malibu? I have a Chevy Malibu and the sound system is okay but I want some extra bass is this all I need amp w subwoofer box

Do you have to cut the mics and the purple wire or one or the other?
That shit don’t work bro there like 4 purple wires mane
Yoo, I have a 2018 Malibu, and I was wondering what did you use for the garnet to get through with the wire, and I have a 0 gauge cable wire.

Yeah if you tap into the rear deck speakers factory wire with the converter you can add your amp that way
@imhotRightNow Thanks, man. I appreciate it. I installed the speakers.
