Hey Everybody, I know, my timing is on a whole other level today. This review couldn't have come at a worse time. That being said, I am aware of what's going on at the moment. I heard about rumors and allegations, and I have watched what other people have proven until now. A month ago I decided to rip off the fans of an AIO a make a review about them. And even with the EK issues going on in the background, the video was already produced and scheduled for a month or so. As me ripping a few fans off and making some content about it has nothing to do with whatever the people at EK are doing, nor have I ever talk to any of them, I decided to leave it as it is and see what happens. - K
Controversy aside, I'd love for you to investigate a possible noise issue with these fans... I recently bought EK's Nucleus CR360 Dark AIO with the non-RGB version of these fans, and they exhibit a very bad whine - almost like a Cylon from BSG - at around 1,025rpm. Each fan tested independently of the rad, just a tad faster or slower and it goes away. EKWB kindly sent me replacements but they have the same noise spike at around the 345Hz mark - not much in terms of dB but certainly very annoying to the human ear. In my view, this design flaw makes them not very fit purpose - if you want a classic fan curve, that is.
Definitely. Some day, when the schedule isn’t as tight as it is now, I’ll reach out to them and see if they want to work with us. First on the list is their fans in general
I have those, non-RGB version that came with Nucleus Dark 240 AIO. At first I expected some crappy fans but these are quite good for "stock" fans. Really quiet until you start hitting 1400+ rpm on a radiator.
Ironically this is an airflow fan. I'd love to know why they decided to make an airflow optimized fan as a water cooling company, or whether they just didn't know what they were doing.
Love these fans, I also got 3x 140mm version for the front of the case. The only gripe I have with them is that the rubber on the corners is glued poorly, and falls off too easily.
When it comes to radiator fans, I think it’s useful to rate them by thickness class and by RGB vs Non-RGB. The fan thickness affects compatibility with cases, motherboards, distros, and radiators. “The best performing 25mm thick RGB fan” could be a fan worth looking for if a buyer wants maximum compatibility and likes the aesthetic.
5:40 "a lot" I'm sorry, but ONE degree cannot be called "a lot" unless you're only looking at a small part of your curves. One degree is significant, but not "a lot." Just a correction from a former ESL teacher. ;) 8:10 "bottom of the barrel" and "high-end zone" do not go together, and your data doesn't support that statement. They're high-end, but in the bottom range of that group would work better. ;)
I’m sorry but please explain, how on earth the Noctua NF12 is so low down this chart? 04:58 There is absolutely no chance scientifically that the Corsair QX120 fans beat it, it’s a question of physics and just not possible. Debauer even proved it in his review of how bad the QX120 is for airflow or static pressure. So if that’s wrong then what else is wrong is wrong I your charts?
Hello and many thanks for your tests. However, there is one "important" fan missing from your comparative curves: the very recent ARTIC P12 MAX compared to the "old" NOCTUA even if it remains a reference...

The EK Vardar X3M might be worth looking into.
They might not perform very well but they look very nice.
Definitely.

🙂And I'm still here because of the good content😉 and that's what the channel does👍
and not the product in it or the brand behind the product !!

I always have problems with the ek fans making grinding noises after a few months
What AIO would you recommend for the i9 14900K? Love your videos and appreciate your help!
EK OR PHANTEKS
I still love my T30 fans. Thumbs up for great videos!
Hi, do you plan on testing the MSI Silent Gale P12 120mm PWM fans ?
Thanks for all your formidable content !!!!
silverstone air slimmer benchmarks please. 🙏
Could You please review the 140mm version of these? Seems like they have the potential to be called the best 140mm fan
Love these fans, I also got 3x 140mm version for the front of the case. The only gripe I have with them is that the rubber on the corners is glued poorly, and falls off too easily.
Would it perform better with t30 fans? Think it’s worth it?

I have a while cr360, these are actually insane I want to cop 3 of them extra!

No EK bash?
They will probably announce new connect style fans for computex.

EK is in hot waters now since, they have issues on paying employee paychecks and supplier payments

Muwahahahaha
Well if one thing is for sure, this is certainly an unpaid review
