Yup I was 6 when these came.out I remember watching most if these with my mom or alone and most I have gone back and watched in the last 15 years though . 84 was a great TV year
I do, too.The original Night Court is just amazing. The new Night Court....not so much....I really wanted to like it, but you can not bottle lightning in a jar twice.
I, too, loved Night Court. The new version, not so much, it doesn't have the same heart, and it tries too hard. The joke's fall flat. The original Night Court from the eighties is just something you can not copy or remake. It was perfect.
Loved loved loved Miami Vice. The music, the energy. The actors, the stories, the different cast members from Phil Collins to Glenn Frey and on snd on. Every Friday night, 9 p.m. belonged to Miami Vice. I was 14 when it started in 1984.
You know despite Bill Cosby turning out to be a complete monster when he was on that show he tried to do a lot for the black community. He pushed hard to employ black writers, directors, cameramen, and all sorts of other behind the scenes people. But all this was tarnished by his behavior.
All the bad doesn't ever erase all the good. He proved himself to be a monster but Picture Pages, Fat Albert, his comedy, The Cosby Show ... I don't think we throw out the good because of the bad. Can fully acknowledge both.
As a kid I was completely obsessed with V it was and still is one of my favorite things from the 80's. Just one more reason I'm so glad I'm a Gen X. 75 baby in the house
I used to watch these in my bedroom on my little black and white with rabbit ears. I felt blessed! 💕 Can't believe it's been 40 years! I graduated in '84.
Thanks for including "Riptide" along with "Airwolf" and "Blue Thunder". Everyone usually forgets *The Screaming Mimi* in their lists of 'cool TV Helicopters'.
I just turned 47 yesterday and I still look back and ask myself where did the years go? There are times I kinda wish I was stuck in a loop where I relived the 80’s and 90’s over and over.
I remember them all being born in 1972. Couldn't watch a couple of them at that time, only had CBS and PBS at that time, so watched the others later. Airwolf and Riptide were the best, and V.
And i watched them all when i was a kid then... 7 years old. But some of them i watched as re- runs, too over the years. Im 47 now.... man time has flown by so quickly. My brother who is about 4 and a half years younger than me, still watches Highway to Heaven on his box set he has of that show. And funny thing is back then my parents had the exact same car that they drove in the opening lol
I own the DVD for Blue Thunder the movie JAFO and the stopwatch... I still think of that each time I come down from a parking garage 😅 Airwolf, 240 Robert, Blue Thunder, Magnum PI, A Team, Riptide, MASH, China Beach.... Even WKRP in Cincinnati had one 😅 Did the studios get a mass discount on helicopters at the time??? 😂. Loved most of them, know all of them!
That's like nobody remembers Courtney Cox being on a show in 1985 called Misfits of Science or FOX had a show in 1987 called WereWolf that had Chuck Connors in it.
Thanks.... Now I really feel old. I love just about all of these. I still remembered all of them just from the first couple of notes of the music. I refuse to admit that I'm older than these shows. You must have the date wrong 😂😂😂
A good and sad year for me. I was 15 years old when my father passed away at 42.. if he lived he would've been 82 in December. The shows were my escape.❤❤❤❤❤
This reminds me how much I wasn’t home to watch the shows! Yearbook, swim team and working at the mall. GenX worked hard and played harder 😊 I wouldn’t trade any of it and got to catch up during summer reruns 😁
My eldest son was born on April 30th 1992. I was in labor from 4am to 6:33pm, I cried all day watching the Los Angeles riots and then watched the very last episode of the Cosby show.
Can't believe they're 40. The best shows from my childhood
Night Court!
It's not surprising to me, but that's also because my childhood was started 41 years ago😂
Yup I was 6 when these came.out I remember watching most if these with my mom or alone and most I have gone back and watched in the last 15 years though . 84 was a great TV year
V. WAS. AWESOME! That miniseries freaked me out so hard.
They tried to renew it about 6-7 years ago but it flopped. The original with Robert Englund(Freddie) was best.
@@TenmaFN yeah....some things need to be left alone. :)
I've been watching it on prime.
When she ate the mouse…..chills
You know I missed the last episode cos my family and 1 went on a holiday… My 11 yr old self was moody and upset the whole time we were on the trip… 😂
I loved Night Court so much
I do, too.The original Night Court is just amazing.
I think the best part of Night Court was in the pilot.
Harry: "I may have been the bottom of the list. But I was on the list."
It says alot.
An all of these "old" shows are still 100 times better than the dumbshit on TV now!!!
So say we all
I approve of this message
@@PennySnapp-mm2zo Totally
Why do they not make such quality any more.....
The more you know.
Hearing all those theme songs again make me happy and extremely sad at the same time. The best times ever!!
I just turned 50. This is when tv was tv. Thanks for this i needed a pick me up today... 😅
I was 15 in 1980, and today I still think it was 20 yrs ago.
.💙💙 🐐
Damn, you were one of the original Gen X-ers.
I was born around the middle of the Gen X era (1972).
at a time when we couldn't talk on the phone AND watch tv because the phone chord didn't reach from the kitchen... now we watch ON our phone..
What!? You didn't have that twisted up 20 foot cord on your phone?
Loved loved loved Miami Vice. The music, the energy. The actors, the stories, the different cast members from Phil Collins to Glenn Frey and on snd on. Every Friday night, 9 p.m. belonged to Miami Vice. I was 14 when it started in 1984.
Thanks for adding The Cosby Show. Still a lot to love about that regardless of the world outside.
You know despite Bill Cosby turning out to be a complete monster when he was on that show he tried to do a lot for the black community. He pushed hard to employ black writers, directors, cameramen, and all sorts of other behind the scenes people. But all this was tarnished by his behavior.
Besides there are plenty of monsters in Hollywood. They just stopped protecting him.
@unacceptablesisterpeter3431 yes.
All the bad doesn't ever erase all the good. He proved himself to be a monster but Picture Pages, Fat Albert, his comedy, The Cosby Show ... I don't think we throw out the good because of the bad. Can fully acknowledge both.
@@genxjono Exactly.
I'm crying for no reason 😭. It was all soooo good!
Before the internet, Google, and apps, we had our imaginations.
I think the only actor still working is Don Johnson. Everyone else died or gave up. You just made me happy and made me feel very old
Again, thank you for reminding us of the wonderment of our happier times.
We lived our weekdays watching evening TV with the family. A way different time using the TV guide.
Sure makes me feel old!!! Still watching the reruns!!
Still feels like yesterday!
I was seven years old in 1984. I remember ALL of these. 1984 had some of the best movies ever made as well.
Such memories!!!
As a kid I was completely obsessed with V it was and still is one of my favorite things from the 80's. Just one more reason I'm so glad I'm a Gen X. 75 baby in the house
Same '75
Same!!
75. We got to experience the late 70s-90s as kids. From Saturday night fever to Alice in Chains 😂
@@williamdesmarais4931 Funny you mentioned Alice they are in my opinion they were the top of the list for grunge. RIP Lane you are missed
I used to watch these in my bedroom on my little black and white with rabbit ears. I felt blessed! 💕 Can't believe it's been 40 years! I graduated in '84.
Rabbit ears? Suspect it a brand new set. (Wire coat hanger for the hand-me-down TV.)
@@dabullzfan25They were rich 😂
I still watch most of these shows today . They are better than whats out now.
I loved Who’s the Boss. Tony Danna was easy on the eyes 😊

Exactly...we had V, miami vice, who's the boss, murder she wrote, the cosby show and airwolf 😊
Damn! Now I feel old! I remember watching them with my parent's.
I'm 58, but watching this suddenly made me think I was forgetting to do my homework :)
Great year for TV and also music 🎶 the best!!!! 😎 Awesome theme songs! " V " was pretty cool. I don't remember " Blue Thunder" I was 11/12 in 84' 👍🥰💜💕
Thanks for including "Riptide" along with "Airwolf" and "Blue Thunder". Everyone usually forgets *The Screaming Mimi* in their lists of 'cool TV Helicopters'.
Wow, just wow! Seems like yesterday I was watching these shows. 😢😢😢
Miami Vice, Night Court, Airwolf, and Hunter! I never missed an episode. 😊
😳. That actually gave me traumatic feels😢... I didn't know weather to laugh from good memories or cry from painful memories!!!
I cannot believe that was 40 years ago. The wonderful shows from my youth lol
Been watching Hunter with my mum on the daily, glad she raised me on the classics man haha
Riptide and Airwolf were amazing
I was in kindergarten in 1984. Some of those shows I don't remember, but I loved punky Brewster! I wanted to have her bedroom and cubby house so bad!
Damn, that's a strong list! RIP JB Fletcher ❤
I still remember the theme songs.
Yup...I was 7! I turn 47 next month! Doesn't seem possible that was 40 years ago!!! 😮

Hearing the music from these shows did something to me .... Wow. I was so happy to watch most of these!
Riptide! I'd forgotten.
I forgot Blue Thunder was also a tv show. I remember the movie
AIRWOLF! that was my jam!
What a year!
Man…. Great shows!
Saw them all
I remember them all being born in 1972. Couldn't watch a couple of them at that time, only had CBS and PBS at that time, so watched the others later. Airwolf and Riptide were the best, and V.
OMG thank you for this. I have a flood of memories from my childhood, those shows were so much better than whats on today.
Dang menopause, 😢that flashback got me cryin!!

'84 was also an amazing year for music -- one of the best in my lifetime.
Woo hoo 1984!
Okay, who saw the Murder, She Wrote intro and heard Pat Summerall's voice? "Coming up 60 Minutes then Murder, She Wrote."
I have made my daughter watch all of these with me lol
That had to be the greatest year for debuts. Hunter was my favorite
I Loved all but one of those shows, and Still watch quite a few of them 😅😁
Stringfellow Hawke is still one of the best character names of all time.

My hip just popped out of socket .
Thanks for reminding me I am older then V .
Airwolf > Blue Thunder

Great times and definitely better times.
A good and sad year for me. I was 15 years old when my father passed away at 42.. if he lived he would've been 82 in December. The shows were my escape.❤❤❤❤❤
So sorry you had to deal with that so young -- 42 is far too young to die.
I was 10 and loved all of these
Great shows all of them
You know the old saying, you’re only as old as… a tv show makes you feel!!! I can’t believe I was only 10 when these came out! 😮
OMG Hunter! I was just watching old episodes just a few days ago!
Thanks. I didn't feel old enough already...lol😅😅😅
