Great info on the padding, thank you for that. But I'm mostly here to comment on doing a good job taking care of your mom! I live with my dad and his ONE HUNDRED AND THREE year old mother. I Know how difficult it can be taking care of an elderly family member, so I commend you and keep up the good work!
very informative. thanks for taking the time. if I may, strongly recommend to fix your camera's location and move the objects closer to the camera as needed. moving the camera so much make viewers dizzy. thanks!
Thank you for this quick and super informative video! Two questions. 1. What is the normal price for the last one (most recommended)? 2. Thickness of the premium advanced comfort system cushion with micro one technology? You said 8-10lb but not the thickness.
Great video! I've read the WFCA website, learned a lot about fiber types, fiber density, fiber height, and fiber twists but not a lot about carpet pad ... a component other sites claim is comparably important to the carpet specs to increase carpet life span ... 5-10 years but especially 15-25 years. I'm trying to get my landlord to replace my carpet after living in his unit for 21-years but he claims the carpet is still good, life use not expired. Your video about pads, especially the rebond 3/8 thick 4 lb for rentals conform my unit probably has a low-cost olefin or nylon apartment or builders grade 5-10 year life span carpet.
Good info! I had no idea there was a differance,or that it was important. I only have wood floors and vynal in my house because i have three muddy, shedding dogs, but if i ever buy carpet again, ill keep this in mind. Thanks!
Good information but most carpet warranties do not recommend a 1/2 inch pad. It will void the warranty. The recommended thickness for most manufacturers is 7/16 inch thickness. Believe me the 1/16 of an inch makes a difference. I do restretching of carpet all the time with 1/2 inch pad.
Carpet cushion is a petroleum product, so the price will vary depending on oil prices and vary by region. This video discusses prices from September 2013, so they do not reflect current market prices.

I'm going to do some videos on modern vinyls and woods soon too. Might link them to works website.
