Off top what you think about ceramic blade on andis gtx tho, could just be me.. But it dont seem like they hit as hard as steel blades

I have a magic clip with a ceramic & taper blade. I wanted to put the senior blade on it and keep the ceramic. Is this possible or do I have to buy a new ceramic to go with the senior blade?? Thanks

Hi Ant, awesome as always. I will be interested to see how you find the gold blades. I got them for my Magic Clips and Andis Slimline Pro and I found that the gold cutting blade didn't seem as sharp as the original especially on the Slimline Pro, which has tighter teeth. I stopped using the Slimline blade fairly quickly as it just didn't seem to cut and it was also louder. The Magic Clip blade was better but I just didn't feel it cut as well. I don't know if the gold plate affects the sharpness of the blade a little but i am interested to hear what you think about them in a few weeks. Cheers

What blade does both magic clips have, like numbers and what are both used for? I’m 5 months into barber school so I’m interested in doing this to both my magic clips
I run the original stager tooth fade blade that comes on the magic clip and I run the wahl #1006 taper blade . I use the original stager tooth fade blade to blend out bald guidelines to the lever open , I use the wahl #1006 taper blade for anything above a half guard . If you watch my video how to remove bald guidelines I explain it best in that video in the beginning so make sure to check it out 👌🏼🙏🏼
I like them. They cut great. The lever could be tighter. I bought them because they are one of the more affordable cordless haircut clippers.

Very helpful tutorial, BTW my question is about my new magic clip, so I notice there is a movement on the upper blade(cutting blade) every time I turn it on or off the cutting blade is a little on the left side or right side, it doesn't stay in the center since my old clippers are not like that, do you think is that normal or should I change it?
That’s completely normal they aren’t made to stop directly in the middle , although sometimes it looks that way .

So I’m finally upgraded from the basic sets you get at bed bath and beyond.. lol.
After a few days of researching I thing I’d like the crunch blade But I think I read someone changing the top blade and keeping the lower blade. Is the lower blade the actual crunch blade? I think I’d benefit from a taper blade than a straighter fade

So a taper blade with the staggered bottom seems like what I’m looking for. I don’t cut super short and like my hair to be a bit tapered but very natural looking and I think this would get my there, especially when trying to taper on myself I feel it can get tricky and the taper blade has that extra angle to make it easier .
I might go corded idk, a stronger motor may put weight the benefits of cordless not sure .
But yeah do you know if I’d be able to put a taper on the bottom and still get the benefits of the textured cut?
You can leave the crunch cutting blade and put a taper blade on and get what your looking for .

Yes I love my wahl magic clips , I turned my babylisspro into wahl clippers basically cause I switched out the blades to wahl blades .

Big differences between a fade blade and a taper blade , one cut's short and sharp one cuts soft and light .

This only has gold cause I added it . They do sale a black & gold one now that is slightly more but it's a limited edition is why .

Can anyone tell me if this clipper vibrates very strongly? I just returned a Wahl Icon, I don't know how anyone can cut hair with that thing all day long, I help it in my hand for 20 seconds, and my palm was numb for 5 minutes because of the vibrations.
Nope doesn't vibrate strong, never used a clipper that did tbh.

Is it just me or the blade that comes with those magic clips make it harder to fade lines out? I put on my wahl 5 star senior fade blade on it and it blends out way smoother. I feel like the magic clip blade creates harsh lines
See I feel the opposite way the senior blade on the wahl cordless senior I hate I feel like it don't blend fades clean at all so I replaced they blade with the wahl #1006 I don't like the heaviness of the seniors so I prefer the wahl magic clips I love the orginal stager tooth fade blade I use that for 0 to .5 and I use the wahl #1006 for half guard and up . But we are all different that's the beauty of life , thanks for checking out the video and offering some feedback 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I do agree about the gard guidelines tho with the fade blade that's why I use the wahl #1006 taper blade to anything above a half guard way softer guides and easy to blend out 👌🏼🙏🏼
Ant The Barber when I first started off the grey wahl seniors helped me out a lot. I used to love the super taper blade on it. I tried using the 5 star seniors and didn’t really like them. Gave them a second try and that’s all I use now. But yea hats true. Everyone is different. I guess it’s just that everyone gets used to certain tools

Just bought the clippers off this video. Went to Barbers-Gold.com and ordered thumb insert and replacement stagger blade. Seen in the comments it doesn't come with the Gold Screws. How can I get them and what are they, this is a gift for a friend in Colombia. I don't know anything about clippers and am fixing to go out of the country.
You'd need to request the screws to be gold as well . Honestly all my other gold blades have the original screws and they look great .

Yes , in my opinion I prefer the way the magic clip cuts and feels in the hand . The senior has more power but doesn't cut as good so what use it all that power 🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ I'd rather buy 2 magic clips and pass on the senior cordless for the same price . I had every clipper almost and nothing for the last 3 years has changed my mind about the wahl magic clips 🙏🏼

I run my cordless senior with the wahl #1006 taper blade and I like it alot more now . I don't need 2 fade blades so that's why I only run 1 fade blade and 2 taper blades and I'm good with that trio .

Gonna have to try the #1006 blade soon. Do u think it’s harder to erase the zero guideline with that type of blade?
I don't have ant issue with the way I run my setup 👌🏼 but I use the original fade blade for 0 to .5 and the taper blade for half guard and up . That's why I run 2 but I have no issues with either blade removing any bald guide .

It's when you ajust your blades close to each other which in return helps remove bald guidelines and give tighter blends 👌🏽

I have 2 of them you can see it in the video . 1 has the original fade blade with the stager tooth but gold , then the 2nd one has the wahl #1006 taper blade so yes I know about the fade blade and yes I use it 👌🏼🙏🏼
