I appreciate you dude. Sometimes I get so caught up in the technical stuff that I lose sight of the skills aspect.........after all skills pay the bills. Good job@
When the blade was standing straight up it was @ 90...when you start leaning it towards the table that number decreases.....I would guess abut 80 degrees
Hi. I'm interested in this trimmer, for a number of reasons (one of them being its lightweight and simplicity). The zero gap feature will certainly be handy, but alsoI was wondering if there's anyway to setup the blade so that it's more than the factory .4mm? I know there's a 1.5mm comb that comes with it, but it would be nice to have the option to get something halfway, around 1mm. In the videos, it looks as if there is room to move the blade in either direction, either reduce the gap or increase it from factory setting. Just thought I'd ask before I buy, though. Thanks!
Would you recommend this or the Wahl balding clipper for shaving my bald head lol, I want as close a shave as possible without a razor and I am not a fan of foil shavers. I have ordered the Wahl balding clipper and I am in 2 minds about sending it back
I have an idea to set them put a piece of paper down or a business card .slide the big blade back to the paper where it touches the paper, but not on top and push down on the small blade on top of the paper. U can use different thickness paper if needed
Nice video, I use these clippers to shave my bald head. I use them at factory settings, would you recommend doing this or do you think I can damage my head?
So do you feel if your learning don’t zero gap till you get a feel of the trimmers first ? I don’t like to rush into things unless I know how to use it
Hey, great video, vary indepth, likely gonna have to watch it a few times to absorb everything and catch all the little tips, I'd for sure be interested in seeing a beard trimming tutorial from you. I just got the Wahl Detailer Li and its hands down the nicest trimmer I've ever own, also got a couple questions I hope you could answer for me... 1.Do you ever use the Wahl T blade proset device? or do you always do you're own freehand setup?... have you ever used the T blade proset device? was your experience good/bad? I suppose its a novice tool so you may never have found any need for it. 2. I believe you kinda mention this well shaving but could use some clarification, my new detailer came with the T-blade zero gapped (or close enough for me) but the T-blade is slightly tilted/slanted to one side, rather then the T-blade being positioned straight on the unit, is this typical to run the blade slanted? is this how you'd run your detailer for a self beard trim? when I first picked it up and seen the blade tilted/slanted it made sense, but my old lithium Wahl trimmer wasnt nearly as professional and its blade setup just ran straight 90 on the unit. I dont really plan on adjusting my new detailers setup at all out of the package, as it seems to be set up perfectly as is... just curious about the blade tilt since thats new to me... should it be one way or the other depending on which hand you trim with? should it be straight for personal beard trimming use or is a slight blade tilt always the correct setup for a detail trimmer/beard shaver? its there any purpose that you use a detailer with its blade setup straight 90 degrees on the unit. Any help you can give me with my questions would be much appreciated, thanks a lot and take take.
@MrOutliner Ok so as long as liners are new it can still cut sharp? Also I have Andis Sl2 since 2014. I think it cut sharp just need new blades. Or I can just get new liners
Peace.. Thanks for the video. Would you still finish up with a straight/ barber razor at the end or does the zero gap cut that clean and close? Thanks again from Toronto Canada.
Would you recommend these or the Wahl Hero for shaving only? If so, do you recommend taking them to get modified or zero gapped at a local blade store?
Great video, Sir! However you may want to be careful about your tutorials coming out with "mirrored" backward effect. It may be confusing to some viewers
@@MrOutliner if you watch the clip back, it looks like you're loosening the screws when you're tightening them. It threw me off at first until I realized the print on your clippers, t-shirt, etc. It may be a small thing but there's a whole lotta hypersensitive folk out there that get frustrated by the simplest thing. But their money's green too! 🤣🤣🤣
I know you love wall. But the five star blade is like a second right blade at this point. In an 80s and 90s and early 2000s they were five star generals. But now with the Babyliss and Stylecraft blades slicing and dicing there’s no point ever using those. I still use my Andis GTX blade though.
Excellent lesson 💯
Thanks
Great video 🔥. I respect your tips on zero gapping. I did a similar video with the andis t outliner. Zero gapping matters 💯🤝
Why is it hard to find replacement blades for wahl clipper blade replacement for model 8171 or will 8081 work with it?

This could work

I did, no issues
If you zero gap the clipper does the lever distance of the clipper blade change
Yes
So do you feel if your learning don’t zero gap till you get a feel of the trimmers first ? I don’t like to rush into things unless I know how to use it
That part. Correct
Much needed information bruh, Thanks!!✊🏿💪🏾
What do you think about modifying the blade
Can this trimmer be used to create guidelines?
Yeah any trimmer
@@MrOutliner Awesome! Appreciate you brother! 🙏😉👍
Guys, i need a clipper for my beards alone. I love these trimmers...but can i use it for shaving my beards too?
Yoo does these blades fit the JRL trimmers?
can you use it as your daily beard shaver? instead of using a razor etc.
Yes
Subscribed bro.. great video.
How long do the blades last?

I been thinking about this lately. I definitely would use them straight out the box. No adjustment necessary

What the point of tightening the two little screws on the blades
Yo hood blade in place
Great work! Question, when you use the fibers for edges or bald spots, what fluid do you mix with the fibers for spraying?
Mroutliner.com detailing mist
Would you recommend these or the Wahl Hero for shaving only? If so, do you recommend taking them to get modified or zero gapped at a local blade store?
Do you modify your blade or you just 0 Gap it
Just 0
Yo bro I zero gapped my detailer too and it is very Sharp bro but if i push it a little bit more on my skin it is snatching my is that normal?
Not normal. Readjust them. Make sure cutting blade is cebtered
Centered
I re adjusted my clippers and did like a 50 degree angle and this helped a lot. I had the same issue.
Where’d you get your replacement blade from?
Omni
Thanks much needed
To me it's one of the best trimmers

My blades don’t have screws 😐
THANKS FOR THE TIPS I DID MINES WHILE YOU WAS SHOWING US HOW TO DO IT...THANKS BRO
That was more of a 70 degree angle, and if you're left handed, that was your left side. Nice video
Yep yep. Keep Jammin 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is a old video. I’m actually with gamma/stylecraft now. And you’re correct!
