Idea for you to think about, goats, will need to put up a good fence, but with goats not only the meat produce but also the dairy side of it. Milk, cream, cheese and butter also goat wool, all products that can be sold

Congratulations to both of you. I'd like to give you some advice. I grew up on a farm. You and Krissy are not ready or able to cultivate the farm now, farmland over grows quickly. A way to prevent this is , rent the property to a farmer, not by the year but by the growing season. You don't take money for it. you take a parentage of the harvest. this way even a poor farmer can afford it, if he does well you do well and visa versa. this keeps your land in good condition. 20% is about normal.

I have a Beautiful Filipina Philly who I met through her sister in America who's a nurse in a Detroit, Michigan suburb. I'm going to bring them to America, but I'm going to buy some land in the Philippines with my future wife's brother. Such wonderful people in the Philippines!

@@thomasrudy6132 You’re wrong. Buying that land to have for themselves and their son is a great investment for their future. Not only will they build a home there but they also plan on creating work for other people which will no doubt help out the local economy. Always a good choice to purchase land for the future, and the land that you have chosen has lots of potential. However, land needs to be used and maintained, especially rice fields, for IDLE land will eventually revert back to land covered with THICK BRUSH. So, if no one is going to plant rice on your land, or till the land for another crop, then your best option is to have cattle or goats to keep the excess vegetation grazed, and be sure to keep the grazing animals away from any coconuts and bananas and fruit trees that you may plant in the future. The land is mostly flat, except for the raised rice field partitions, and appears to be very fertile, which is PERFECT for growing all types of fruit trees and vegetables too, as long as there are people there who can take care of whatever is planted. In addition, try to avoid building fences, if possible, and just respect and earn respect from your new neighbors, for good neighbors look out for each other. Your and your family are very fortunate to be able to purchase such a wonderful parcel of land at a nice location. The land may appear to be ISOLATED now, but in time, you and the other owners of the other parcels, will be able to cooperate with the local barangay and have a good road constructed on the shared "right of way easement" which will benefit the whole valley. I am looking forward to seeing how you and your family will develop the land in the future. Good Luck with all of your investments. I enjoy watching your videos. Amping (*_*)

The land looks sweet! My wife and I bought land in Compostela valley on Mindanao island 500sq meters. And we have a opportunity to 8000sq meters. I have been watching your channel for awhile and I have learned so much. You have saved me a lot of research time. Lol.
It’s very small at 2 acres. I’m buying 13+ acres that’s partly planted and off grid. I hope you have a chance to make it bigger as 2 acres will supply your family but for serious growing for profit you need a lot more.
It's a beautiful property Tim and Crissy. One day, you will realized what a treasure you got, and will continue to prosper. That kangkong is very nutritious vegetable alone to grow on that part with water. Enjoy the bounty of nature.
Looking at the layout of the land, the fact that it is flat and there are old ridges or bunds dividing the plots plus some of the old material left standing suggests rice was grown there, a creek at either end is perfect for growing paddy rice with squash on the edges, share farming might be your best option. Depending on your finances, you could agree to provide some of the inputs for a greater proportion of the profit.
Krissy sounded just like my gwapa wife (who is also from Leyte) when she was telling you that the horse was going to kick you. Yep...there is a lot to love when it comes to filipinas.
Hi guys, any plant be it coconut or fruit trees are all yours in the property that you bought. The former owners who planted them no longer have the right to the fruits once the land is officially bought by you 🙂 in the Phil. Congratulations Krissy (and Tim) 🙂
It's good to buy land. We bought our 2 adjacent farm lots 19 years ago priced 150 pesos/ sq meters and bought over a hectare with overlooking portion to the city. Now there's an international airport to be constructed 8 kilometers down and the price of the property shoots up at massively ridiculous to 3000 pesos/ sq meter. Construction of buildings and businesses going uphill too getting urbanized now and more expats coming up the to live in the area. There are several options to do when having a land, it's a good investment.
Another good video. You need to spend time talking to farmers to decide what you want to do. You can have people work your land, plant your land, harvest your land, and transport crops very cheaply but you need to make a plan, and talk to people who have experience. Congratulations by the way.
@@TimKyoutube I'm looking for farm land myself in Eastern Samar. I have my wife raising pigs just a few for now because Im still working stateside. It's pretty cheap to start if you build the pig pens with locally sources materials like bamboo. Piglets prices are going up same with the cost of feed. Its about 3500-4000 php per Piglet. You can sell them in 3-4 months for 10,000-12,0000 php. If you raise to full size it will take a year to reap profit from each pig but the weights will be much higher.
Tim, be sure to clarify to the owner if that parcel of land has a tenant because that small shack seems to be housing a tenant cultivating a part of that land. by Philippine law you cant eject a tenant even if the agreement is between the past owner.

Make a fish or shrimp farm there. The only problem with livestock businesses is your consumers. If you don’t have any market for it then u go bankrupt. But if u do have then u get a very good profit. Maybe a 300-500k a month

Fun times Tim, the house I built for my fiancé's family is on old rice paddies and they have to grow in buckets and get their soil from the hill side the tough part is dealing with the water. Their place is not too far from yours maybe another 15 minutes north on the main road it's just after the church in Santa Cruz they have 3 active paddies next to them I told them they should raise tilapia with all that water.
