Easily the biggest/most intense coaster I’ve ridden so far in my life
This is the tallest coaster I’ve been on and the first one I’ve went on with inversions. If you ever have the chance to ride gatekeeper and you are afraid of coasters, RIDE IT! It isn’t super intense and is really fun. The feeling of getting off the ride and knowing you conquered one of your fears is amazing.
I haven't been on a coaster with inversions yet. I can't get past the thought of being flipped upside down. I've whimped out on this coaster 4 times in the past 2 years, 3 times on the platform. Tallest coaster I've ever ridden is Magnum
@@bfranciosoI know the thought of inverts is scary if you haven't done them, but Gatekeeper is a perfect first experience for it. It's so smooth. The thing about inverts is that you don't feel them. The first initial roll on Gatekeeper you can feel it in your stomach, but the rest are nothing. And if you decide that you don't like them, you don't have to do inverts. But they're not as bad as you think they are!!
And then you can do Steel Vengeance. Steel Vengeance will ease you out of any coaster fears you have lmao
@@bfrancioso if you can ride magnum an inversion is no problem. they just press you down into your seat, most dont have hangtime. sometimes i dont notice there are inversions at all if i close my eyes
This is an awesome ride but you HAVE to ride it at least twice...sitting on each side of the "wings". Completely different experience depending on which wing side you sit on. One of my favorite rides at the park!
Also different based on the section of the train…front, center, or back. One of the greatest rides I’ve ever been on

Honestly, I have an unreasonable fear of roller coasters but this looks manageable to me. That roller coaster sounds stupid smooth and doesn't go to the upper atmosphere like Leviathan.
i remember 1:12 so vividly, i’ve never ridden a roller coaster with a drop like that! unforgettable experience and probably my favorite ride at cedar point!

I am currently at my Cedar Point hotel, we’re having a calm down. The hotel is gorgeous too, wonderful view, cool air, a TV. I officially rode the Gatekeeper! I was horrified and it was horrifying, but it wasn’t bad! The cart was a bit uncomfortable for me as it kinda consumed my chest, but I just wasn’t used to that kind of cart. It didn’t hurt me at all on the ride, it was just an adjustment. It was comfortable, scary, and fun! Quite smooth too, nothing jerky about it. It was well worth the wait.

@@ZuvGaming I had to look away from at that part I’ll admit it lol. Was a bit too much. But it was so much fun and I have a HUGE fear of roller coasters. But in my picture, I’m all smiles. What a wonderful experience. :)

As someone who didn’t grow up on roller coasters and is very afraid of them, I had no idea what I was getting into with gatekeeper. My friends convinced me to go on and it was so intense I passed out. I was in the front thinking my feet were gonna get chopped off 💀💀My girlfriend at the time was horrified but I was upset that I missed out on the experience (for the couple seconds I was unconscious). Seriously such a smooth ride and it packs a punch. I had never screamed so much in my life. I hope to ride it again some day when I’m a little less afraid lol because it truly was incredible
Im currently at Cedar Point. I have not gone on any rides yet as I haven't used any park days yet. I have however gone Parasailing which i was terrified of as I don't like huge heights. I did it and it was awesome and super peaceful. Its given me a new look on heights and I don't hate climb ups as much anymore. If ur scared, do it.
this was my first coaster and i remember being absolutely shook. defo wasn't expecting it to be that intense

This was the first time I decided to go on an inverted coaster, I was always afraid... so I chose this the year it debuted and oh boy 😅😅 I loved it!
This roller coaster is very beautiful. I've already ridden it, but it was in a Roblox game. In real life, I don't have the courage. I hope one day I can have this experience of riding it. I hope I don't regret it ☺️
If you haven’t had much experience with roller coasters before, definitely start off with smaller rides with no upside down tracks. I haven’t ever been to Cedar Point and have never really been in a big roller coaster, and I finally came to Cedar Point today, and Gatekeeper was the first ride I went on. I fainted after the first drop lol. Just start smaller, and work your way up, and you’ll not regret it.
I go to Cedar Point almost every Summer and I agree. If you’re afraid of heights but want to get on a solid coaster then get on Maverick first then if u like it, get on magnum, then rougarou and finally try Gatekeeper, it’s also always fun to ride with friends. The gatekeeper POV on Roblox is beautiful and it might help you realize that it really isn’t that bad. You don’t even have to be front row to enjoy it! It is truly beautiful. 🥰

I don’t consider this coaster necessarily “rough” in the way that Mean Streak would beat the hell out of you, or Corkscrew jerks your head violently back and forth against the hard restraints. I wouldn’t call this coaster smooth though, I feel like some of the transitions are pretty jolting. That being said, I like this ride and always hit it coming in or leaving the park.
