it seems like he is relying on the crowd to pull him through, his vocals seem to be fading, but this band will always be an icon in rock and roll history. thank you all.
Glasgow showed how DC was struggling. He wasn't hitting all the high notes and was relying on the other band members to pull him thru. The Glaswegian chorus were shit hot too. Good gig but I'm glad he's retiring. First saw him 41 years ago at the Glasgow Apollo. #respect #legend
Was there, it was an emotional evening. Last UK date on the farewell tour. Yes his voice is not what it was, but he's in his seventies. Thank you MR Coverdale
Cardiff had the honour of having Tommy Aldridge performing in their City. Stunning drummer and the best musician on that stage by far. Farewell Whitesnake.
Gotta disagree there, but only because I'm a personal student of Joel Hoekstra and I'll tell you now the man is a monster player and so criminally under rated it is almost unreal. I play guitar and drums though so this one's a real hard toss up for me
His voice ain’t what is use to be but you can here there’s still a voice there, But his energy is running out, He’s been doing this so long. A legend in my eyes.! Take a bow David 🤘
David in the flesh oh my god what's not too like.. made me feel young again....brought back so many memories from bogies...xxxx had a ball...bucket list ago go..xxx
Fair play to him great to see🎶🎶❤️ To all the armchair vocal critics.... "Many people his age sit in a chair all day looking into space hoping to not shit their pants". Look at what this legend can do? running around the stage entertaing the crowd! Top bloke.. Love it 👍
But people are paying good money for this entertainment. David's up there pretending he can still sing, can't even keep the microphone to his mouth and sing with his band. His screaming notes are backed up by so much echo. And he gets paid for this?
Y'all being salty. This is his Fairwell tour, and probably the last of his live stadium/arena shows. David has been the most badass vocalist rock will ever see. Let him perform it however he wants, whenever he wants, y'all can just stop watching, go do something else. Just let the man be.
Some of these dudes are 100 yrs old. Still got their hair, their voices and for the most part theyre still rockin!!! LOL!! Through all the drugs, groupies and tours, Still rockin. I hate them all, LOL!! Rock on !!!
Maybe he can't sing as well as he could but at 70 odd years old I can forgive him that. He still looks great and he's still a Rock Legend. Looks like the crowd enjoyed a good night out and that's what we all want. Respect to DC, he's earned his retirement. By the way I fancy the bass player lol
Remember seeing the original line up Moody Marsden lord paice, and of course coverdale, such happy times . That was over 40 years ago that's right over 40 years ago.
Ol Coverdale has always had a raw (and quite brutal) vocal approach. Even if you listen to him around 1990 and Monsters of Rock or 1993's Coverdale & Page, his vocals had got pretty gruff in the midrange but he's always been one heck of a performer and sung with about as much emotion as he has technique and he is 70! Regarding Hughes. Hughes is perhaps one of the most technically talented rock singers out there and has a much lighter approach to his voice (unfortunately that means his high end screeches can be pretty painful to hear). I know Hughes was mostly out of action in the 80's due to his issues but I would also say Coverdale has relentlessly toured in the most part since around '74 and his Deep Purple debut. There was a gap from around 93-97 after the Greatest Hits tour, and then 97-2003 after his first 'Farewell' but then from 2003 it's been full steam ahead. It's been a full bore touring monster for most of 5 decades... And we must remember that even in 1997 he was still a regular smoker. That's a killer on the voice. But in 2022 the voice has certainly said "time to rest ol boy"!
I saw them about 8 years ago and he was making good use of - the crowd can sing this bit - at that time. He's 70 years old for goodness sake - mind you, so is Rob Halford but he can still nail it. Still, what a legacy.
Halford still hits most of the high notes, does songs like Painkiller with no help and doesn't rely much on the crowd for support and is the same age as Coverdale. I think Rob just takes better care of his voice maybe?
I imagine his voice tires or something and he can't sustain it for a whole concert, hence pointing microphone to crowd far too many times. It's so annoying. Just sing the bloody song all the way through! People don't pay to listen to the crowd sing.
@@deepzepp4176 ruclips.net/video/_jJGiVbrKys/видео.html&ab_channel=GuidoDiVincenzo sounds pretty good to my ears, way better than many others. This tour is the newest I was able to find for now.
@@oswaldmosley6179 Sure. He’s nowhere near as bad as Coverdale is these days, but Glenn he has lost his mid-range. He’s either screaming in falsetto or singing in his lower range. He still sounds decent on record, but live…..he’s just getting away with it.
@@deepzepp4176 Yes its not 1974 but its still good enough for me, I would go see him live given the chance. I would do that over whitesnake, motley Crue (with Vince Neil), Bon Jovi, and a bunch of other acts I can't think of at the moment they they are there.

Yeah his voice is cooked, age does that. Looking at my favorite singers from the 80's and half of the vocals they have the audience sing it. It's bittersweet but we still love them.
