If you want a real test of endurance, use custom settings, increase enemy speed, increase number of rounds and longer rounds. I got so winded my head still hurts after a few hours lmao
I had the same thing happen to me on 1x multiplier. I wish I understood how the multiplier works, but setting it above 1 helps with throwing more damaging punches.
Love this game. That being said, the infighting and general collision detection when both are throwing definitely feels like it could be improved for TofF 2. It feel like even Duran would struggle in this game. Also feels like processing faster hand speed could be improved, but obviously this is 1st gen. I think the MM concept is nice to normalize things, but at the same time does seem like the opponent won't go down regardless of your effort; A nice challenge I guess!
well, you probably have to re-configure your setting ... but the hands should probably seperatly connected in TOTF2, since i got the feeling, that my right arm is a little bit shorter then my left, cause anytime i try an uppercut with left i rather hit the opponents chest ... but changing to smaller gloves can fix that, as re-placing the lighthouse-boxes or adjusting the "height" (when you step on the scale), i made the mistake to stretch my spine through but you better stay relaxed, and grabbing the controllers a bit more at the front will help getting the right punches (im using a Vive btw*)
@@Kalashnikov786 i think that guy did a pretty well job, but he should get some help from a second developer or something ... faster development and another point of view would help him to develop a better second game ...
That's the worst when you punch like 10 x him but the judges still give him the win . Idk if real life judges judge only on damage , but I feel like I have to throw every punch 100% for the judges to count it. Great job as always man !
It depends but usually the fighter with more output usually steal the rounds unless the power shots are hurting the opponent or knocking them down but as proven like Floyd mayweather more output= victory over 1 big shot
You need to reset your multiplier, it took me a while to figure that out and I had the same problem. If you work the punching dummy at all and try hitting it super hard, it will set all your punches to a 1x multiplier which is just unrealistic for the way damage is calculated in this game and nothing will cause damage on the cards. For some reason once you max it out it doesn't auto adjust back the other way. Just hit the reset multiplier button and let it learn from you actually boxing opponents and it will be much more realistic after a few matches. I notice your using the beta version, which never went live, its a much more difficult version of the game, the opponents block a lot better in this version, but it gives better stats at the end, which I prefer a lot more. The beta version also shows you how hard your hitting in game by the color your punches make when connecting. Took me a while to notice that as well, when a punch lands a circle of color will briefly show up at the impact spot, blue is light damage, and a yellow circle is heavier damage. Im not completely sure but I think there is different tints to the yellow which as it get darker it causes more damage. I also think it may go red on really good punches, but the flash is so quick and rare its hard to tell for sure and I barely every get it to go red, so that could just be a blood effect, not sure. Youll be much more competitive though if you recalibrate the multiplier,. Though you still would have lost this match, since you cant go down more than once in five rounds and win on the cards, cant come back from 2 8/10 rounds unless you can knock him down twice as well or knock him out, but that nearly impossible on the beta
@@VRBOXING thanks for the heads up! It would be nice if more realistic gear, rigs or third party glove like controllers compatible with the quest 2 were around
Great effort! Are you playing with drift protection and small gloves? I can't comprehend why the punches are not registered stronger. Maybe because of the custom setup of having them upside down?
Awesome how good of a workout it is. After one round the guy is already very labored. I’ve worked myself up to 3 matches now after large breaks in between.
yeah i know. No it's not custom at all. It's my default outclassed MMx1 But i always had this difficulty on my quest. I saw other guys beeing able to knock out this guy in this difficulty. I've never be able to do so...
@@VRBOXING I tend to agree. A well-charged hook to his chin, even on 1.0x can't be less than "yellow". There's something weird with your tracking, I am afraid.
Its annoying how every time I land a punch they always manage to land one on me at the same time. Lol great game for working out for sure! This fight right here makes me sweat bullets. 😂
Got all the way down to endurance mode on him I got dropped three times and like the 4th or 5th round and knock him out. I see outclassed is gonna be crazy. I'm going to have to find the biggest room I can and counter him the whole fight without him Landing
I'm already seeing/feeling results with this app. I like to set it to the max rounds and give both me and my opponent max health so we can both go the distance. I do this about twice a day, it feels great! 👍
Hey I can confirm that era of combat: boxing on Steam VR is totally fun if you fight against another person PvP. It's raw and very early in development. But it's great and has huge potential. As it stands it's worth the price just to jump in the discord and line up a few fights. Real people are way more dynamic and unpredictable and moneymaker
I think your survival is great, and you are going against the outclassed version of the Champion with an average score of 8.5/9 , i don't have that kind of consistency lol
Yo. Tried the quest 2 with many different hand /controller grips. As you hold them upside down is best but I often loose tracking due to my wrist blocking the view to camera. Like when I snap a jab, rotate Palm down at the end, then with draw the glove stays out there. You encounter this? Any tips to solve?
one thing i dislike with this game is you almost have to bait punches out to execute head movement, even then im in roomscale and i stand at about like kicking range, they always shuffle forward and throw, forward throw, forward throw, i really hope in the next game they utilize more components in boxing such as feints, like if the cpu feinted a jab then got low and threw a hook to the body that would really mess me up
Wow, nice work!! Looks like a different game with a full-size space to move around in. How do you decide when to switch to southpaw? Noticed a lot of back and forth between traditional and southpaw today. I wonder why the scoring is so lopsided.
I don't decide. It's an automatism. My body knows when to. It comes with practice. Sometimes i do that when i get tired with my left jab (or painful in the shoulder joint). Sometimes it's because of my placement against the opponent, to find angles. Most of the time it's to box in a non linear way. Very effective IRL, but no so much against AI ;)
@@VRBOXING Super cool. Your movement is inspiring! I upgraded my space recently so at least I have a small square to move around in, which adds a whole other dimension to the game than just staying in one spot dodging and countering.
This guy has never boxed in his life. Training and sparring at best. The flat feet give it away the most. Lack of jabs and faints. Should stop lying to people.
The best part of this game is watching your opponents facial expression change when you start landing shots.
😄
Man, I miss playing. broke my ribs a month ago and watching you spar makes me want to jump back in...patience.
Good luck my friend. Ribs are a pain in the ass

At least you survived all 5 rounds, well done. Thanks for showing the stats, those landed strikes/damage 0s are crazy indeed
