- Stronghold Crusader 2 will come out in 2014 and I need to be prepared for it,because of that I started to warm myself up and began to play Stronghold Crusader HD,wish me luck and don't forget to like and favorite this video.
Stronghold: Crusader is the successor to Firefly Studios's 2001 game Stronghold. Crusader has much in common with the original Stronghold, but differs from its predecessor in the fact that the game is no longer set in a pseudo-Europe, instead being set in the Middle East during the Crusades. The game features a multitude of new Arabian units that can be purchased in a new building, the mercenary post. Though the Arabian troops do not require any resources to produce, they are rather expensive. The game was also released as Stronghold Warchest. This version was a compendium of Stronghold and an enhanced version of Stronghold: Crusader, containing additional characters and an additional Crusader Trail.
Stronghold Crusader features several real-time strategy campaign strings. These document the First, Second and Third Crusade, as well as conflicts within the individual Crusader states. Each campaign comprises several battles, such as Nicaea, Heraclea, siege of Antioch, Krak des Chevaliers and the Siege of Jerusalem. The game also features the Crusader Trail, a series of 50 linked missions against various opponents. Stronghold Warchest adds one more Crusader Trail, consisting of 30 linked missions.

I think this was the first really hard mission in warchest, I didn't even have time to sell stone, I was just repairing towers and rebuilding walls nonstop

Never thought of putting shield men in towers- will try that next time! Not managed to beat to this level. Always get defeated after Saladin is eliminated. Great job!

Against assasins, its good to build 2 or 3 rows of smaler walls after main wall, so until they climb on each one, crossbow man will already kill them. :)
Just dig moat, they cant get near you

This and the 25 I think (the one where you face Wolf on the River in the OG trail) are the hardest missions around
this one is a tough one, took me a lot of iq to pass it

I played this game a lot of time back then. Now I'm at this mission and struggling really hard. I manage to keep them at bay for some time, but after Saladin dies, all of them unleash on me and even if I keep my defences, I see that its declining, pig's catapults destroying my economy while I try to hold my lines. I'm currently trying to figure out a way to quickly defeat either pig or caliph, (I'd prefer pig, because of the catapults, caliph doesn't do much other than keeping my archers a little busy)
Update: Took a few times but did it. I took out pig with an assassin rush. Then built a line of fire ballista towards calpih, and built up my economy, built 2 towers to help deflect the assassins and horse archers, without loosing a lot of ballista. When my defense was solid, i built 20 catapults, obliterated caliphs castle, killed him with the remaining assassins and after that its a steamroll. At that point you already getting stronger and stronger slowly, and they lost one of their ally to put pressure, you can wait as much as you need to build an army, meanwhile your defense deflect any attack without much problem.
why are there random black screens?
All he had to do was keep caliph in check with siege catapults and wipe out the side he was constantly getting attacked from by placing magnolias behind the wall to take out any circular towers etc he made this longer then necessary
I just don't get it. I do everything the way you do, but in about 12 minutes I don't stand a chance. + in this video their progress seems slower than when I play.. :(

Something changed in stronghold crusader HD. Snaking stream was vs Emir + Emir? And snaking stream rematch was vs Emir + Emir + Emir.
Why didn't you put a catapult on tower it ? It helps a lot

Like in my game - about 18min from start, Saladin die. On my map, Emir (I forgott which) killed him. Amazing, that so good "player" like Saladin, can't build up and defense self little longer :)
+Arveen 79s he is vulnerable to rushes apparently , when he gets his economy going he is a beast.

lol so the point of Saladin being on his own team is to keep Emir and Wazir from raping you at the start of the mission. After Saladin dies you better hope you have your defenses figured out cos the absolute WAVES of horse archers, assassins, Arabian swordsmen, and siege equipment will bend you over six ways 'til Sunday.
Great mission, map and concept; the developers should have made more missions like this. I had to spam 40 crossbowmen (plus portable shields) on one tower to cripple the Caliph. Pig didn't do too much after one or two waves of catapults from him. With the UCP settings I was using Nizar's castle only had lookout towers, so he was next. And Wazir's castle had four round towers on the front-but only one lookout tower and a gatehouse on the back, so I did my best to return the favor and give him a surprise dick appointment anal style.
Emir is the most overused AI of Warchest, but he was a suitable "final boss" for the mission.
There's no reason to build more than one cow farm unless your going for more than about 10 tanners. They're inferior to apple farms in every other way except for armor production.
It's fun to throw cows at the enemy

Does anyone know how to switch between your troops after youve selected all of them?
Miasma right click on the one u want to move i think , cuz I haven’t played in a while
Select a group of units and save them with ctrl + a number. Then if u want to select that group again later just press that number. You can save multiple groups of units on the numbers bar this way, so you don't have to drag the mouse every time over the desired groups.

All other games are trash. Stronghold 1 is the same game minus some things.
Its way better, you can build towns of 1000 people and all the other strongholds kindof suck
those wooden things are kind of cheating. That makes your keep impregnable. I mean that is a brilliant strategy
