*Thanks for this demo of a system that takes up* where the Alterable Voices of 1970's and 1980's models left off. For my concept of a Contemporary Danish-inspired four-manual in a C-style console, the Genisys Voices could be controlled by rocker tablets above the _Bryſtvaerk_ manual, e.g.:
    PEDÅL
    Genisys Voice 1
    Genisys Voice 2
    FJERNVAERK
    Genisys Voice 3
    Genisys Voice 4
    BRYSTVAERK
    Genisys Voice 5
    Genisys Voice 6
    HOVEDVAERK
    Genisys Voice 7
    Genisys Voice 8
    RYGPOSITIV
    Genisys Voice 9
    Genisys Voice 10
where the Divisional drawknobs in both jambs control all other routinely-needed functions.

As an organist who commenced as a pianist, then studied classical pipe organ (draw-know console naturally), then experienced theatre organs, I must confess that, for me (I speak for no-one else) the traditional Theatre tabs are the fastest to access for registration changes. Of course, main settings have been set up on pistons, but for rapid registration changes during a performance, give me those theatre tabs. Then rocker switches , with draw-knobs my lowest preference (but they look great).
That apart, what can I say? From this and other videos, Allen organs really have reached a stage in authenticity that make me finally wonder at the economic validity of a pipe instrument. Certainly, a pipe instrument will significantly outlast a digital one, but only with costly re-building from time to time. And the cost - initial plus maintenance!!! Does a good pipe istrument still sound better than this class of digital? I'm beginning to wonder. And as we hear in this demo, the digital instrument can provide the musician with sounds and facilities a pipe instrument cannot provide. With the catholicity in the demands of music performance in any context these days, this is an important aspect.

Can you shift octaves of the GeniSys voices, for example set a 32' Posuane (161) as pedal voice 1 and shift it to one octave deeper thus making it a 64' reed?

Yes they can be shifted up or down, and anywhere in-between. Of note: an organ with self-contained speakers may not be able to reproduce that sound properly, so we suggest touching base with your Allen Representative or inquire through our Ask Allen form found on our website within the Customer Support tab before you try it.
