The Dutch army hooped bivy has good reviews too. The best ones are hooped and side zipper. I was out again last night in the north Pennines. Video soon. Thanks for watching.
Recently I camped up there at that lovely little tarn. It’s so nice. People flock to the lakes unaware of the beauty they are passing. The solitude is wonderful.
Great trip UP. I agree, WBF is right up there with the best in the Pennines. I've walked it a few times but never camped it. A pal wants to do it so I've said I'll hold off until we can arrange a mutually convenient time.
Nice one Chris. Hope you watched after the video flags sharpened up which they do after a few hours. It was a super trip. Light winds, no rain and fab views. Thanks for watching. Hope all is well for you and yours. Atb mate. Look forward to your next. There’s a little tarn on low white scar, just above Aise gill, might try a pitch up there.
Camped up there twice now. Once where you were and once near the tarn. Love the views. But its a steep climb isnt it lol. I met a chap up there 77 yrs old camping too. How he got up ive no idea. Its definitely a special place though. Well done
Yes a real grunt to get up there. I’m 68 so over the hill and picking up speed😂My mum was born in Sedbergh and my dad grew up in Appleby so my roots are up there. Love it. Thanks for watching. Atb
A bivy behind the shelter would have worked but that wind would give you sporadic sleep. It’s good to battle with the elements sometimes though. Better than watching rubbish tv. Well done for getting up there. Thanks for commenting. Atb
Wild boar fell is in Cumbria within Yorkshire dales national park
Stunning place to bivvy. The views were incredible.
I bought a Belgian army surplus bivvy and yet to use it. Yours looks great 👌

Yeah vey much agree. Sand tarn is another one on my list. Thanks for watching.
The down pants are Mountane. I got them from climber’s shop Ambleside. Was lucky. Over £160 but £60 off. They are good. Light but warm.
@@unclepeteswildadventures Thanks. I will have a look for them
Subbed 😊
Nice to have you.

I did WBF in a howling gale. T'was a bit blowy. Wouldn't have had a good night's sleep if I'd have stayed up there.
