Hands down the most well-rounded and informative video on parabens I've seen🙌🏻 not that I personally need convincing on why they're good, but I certainly am up for the challenge of letting others in on this "secret" now 😉
No they don't, skin microbiome is not affect by parabens on a significant level there are currently few studies regarding this and skin microbiome adapt so fast to any changes, like using alcohol or disinfectant on a skin cut for days the skin microbiome will bounce back ❤️🙏
8:20 Really appreciate this comparison with other chemicals that we use without any issue. 11:00 which leads me to think ... what tests and studies are mandatory Before using a new chemical (either preservative or whatever) in products? It seems weird to be using chemicals without the studies to define the limits of their safety...
Of course my pleasure, for the second question the new preservatives are of course studied for safety but there is always new data that pop up after some advancement in let's analysis of compounds, parabens levels were tweaked through times a lot until we reach this point but newer preservatives we don't have this amount of data and studies because they are new that what i meant not established, any new compound depends where it's going to be used a full array of tests to define the toxicity profilo (acut and subchorionic and chronic studies) 🥰🙏
@@Moskinlab It's really sad to think that if we stop using parabens it's like wasting all those studies that defined the limits of their safety :/ It's very reassuring to know chemicals keep being studied after they are introduced in the market! Is that the standard for every ingredient, or does it only happen after someone pops up with a study "showing" they are bad?
It's sad and actually i listened to few brand owners say they are pushed hy this wave of misinformation to stop using parabens and work with something else which is hard, only chemicals that has a decent amount of hazard to cause an issue 🙏

Thank you so much for this comment, really appreciate and thanks for watching and supporting 🤓😍
but do they disrupt the skin microbiome barrier function, that is my main concern?
