Why YouTubers don't show you who they are

Is it possible to be authentic on RUclips? In the video I'm explaining why it's so difficult to be truly yourself online and I talk about three ways how you can be more authentic in your RUclips videos... or at least get close.
Matt D'Avella calls it a crisis of authenticity and I think he's right that on social media we often end up pretending that we are someone we're not.

Hehehe, the end of your video made me laugh. Everything you mentioned is the exact reason why I have yet to do a sit down video on my channel.
