About Major Crimes:

Poor Amy.....the "little sister" surrounded by all those guys who love to tease her!!!!!! I feel bad for Cooper if he ever breaks her heart.
What is beautiful about this series is all members of Major Crimes let Rusty come out using his own right time. No one forced him to confront his gayness before he was ready. There were at least three or four times when they could have forced the issue. The show should be highly praised for treating Rusty with such dignity, care and respect. All LGBTQ people should be treated with such great care.
Do you think you could recall those episodes?
One time he had a secret for Provenza, and ended up asking for a toothbrush for his real mom. One time he was talking to Jack Raydar about how to break up with Chris, his school friend and Jack pointed to his legal situation.. One time in finding a therapist, he asked Sharon, "what does everybody around here know about me?" Answering his own question, he said he loves chess. Any one of these times, he could have been confronted about being gay, but was not. @@Rr-rR216
Provenza did the best "It means you trust us" he may be a hard ass but like an italian man (I include myself) he loves the boy and wants the best for him 😊 Everyone here has a heart of gold! Edit: This comes from a bisexual and trans sicilan man.

A couple clues they already knew: Provenza thinking he knew what Rusty wanted to talk about at the end of Flight Risk, Sharon's aborted comment in that episode where I'm pretty sure she was gonna say the others already knew and then the best bit: the break room scene with the girl's boyfriend/the killer and the other guy that was friends with her. After being told to write their comments and impressions Guy #2 (never did get a name on him) gives Rusty a flirty look and asks what kind of impressions. Rusty looks taken aback while Flynn and Tao just seem amused.
Recently I read a fanfic where after this scene Rusty goes to tell Morales who is not surprised either. Partly because Buzz texted him after Rusty came out but partly because he already knew like everyone else. He said that he knew because Rusty had no interest in Emma despite her personality.
When Rusty came out at the end of season 2 I actually didn't get what he was saying. I missed most of this episode but saw this part. I was not surprised mostly because his total lack of interest in Kris beyond friendship. Note how no one else seems surprised either. Tao was CLEARLY faking his surprise there as was Buzz. Given what we've seen it looks like Rusty's got a thing for older men too. Not just because of when he was on the streets but because of his crushes on Jeff and Chad (the SWAT cop who he clearly crushed on given the look on his face when they met) and his possible new love interest TJ who he says is around 20 or 21 while he himself is only 19.
But he also could not be Kris' friend because the letters he received saying someone was going to kill the people he loved.
Here's Rusty's official coming out and now he has a boyfriend.

Ahorita viendo la serie desde el inicio, veo que Rusty tuvo varios boy crush. Todo empezó a partir de la temporada 3 en el episodio de la chica del matrimonio forzado donde el novio y su amigo van a testificar y el amigo le da una mirada coqueta a Rusty y hasta Andy y Tao parecen sospechar (junto con Provenza), luego está su compañero de “La Placa De Justicia” quien se quedó a dormir en la casa de Sharon y Rusty le pide salir pero él le dice que no por la diferencia de edad, luego esta el agente de SWAT cuando necesita protección y la primera vez que se ven Rusty se queda sorprendido (casi sonrojado), luego en la temporada 4 fue con su compañero TJ quién al final no termino bien la situación y por último esta Gus con quien si tuvo una relación, a pesar de la infidelidad pudieron resolver las cosas y siguieron juntos.

Season 3 like episode 6 or 7. Rusty was already out to Sharon at this point: he came out in a very emotional moment in the second season finalie in a way where he didn't outright say it (and I didn't realize what he was trying to say consequently but a lot of fans did apparently) but expected Sharon to reject him and kick him out. She accepted him fully instead and made it clear that she still loved and wanted him.
