One of the best scenes of the whole show. Mary ROCKS... she is just perfect, OMG!

A more satisfying resolution to the Sharon Beck storyline than the one we thought we had earlier in the season. LOVE how Evil Sharon was all rage and hatred and Good Sharon was calm through the whole thing though she HAD to be pissed.

I love this scene because mama bear Sharon is protecting her cub Rusty. Or mama lion Sharon is protecting her cub Rusty.

A lot of people who wrote fics based on this scene had the part where Sharon say "and I'm going home" mean her subtly saying "I'm going home to my son." I agree that that's probably what she was trying to say.

Ooooh, Mary McDonnell kicks ASS in this scene-- you can tell Captain Raydor is just *seething* at Rusty's mom just below the surface, but is managing to rein it in while she lays down the law. McDonnell is good at delivering threats; whether quiet, tranquil and calm, like here, or *obviously* enraged, shouting and yelling, like President Roslin.

+DorianMichaelsIII I know right!!! At least she can't throw Sharon Beck out an airlock this time!!! And Rusty definitely inherited her technique and great parting shots!!! "Everyone's about to know something Gary. And now I'm leaving you just like you left me: in a place full of cages with nowhere to go." Even better parting shot than Sharon's!!!

The most recent episode indicates Evil Sharon has turned her life around: she has an apartment, a job, a cell phone and has been clean for months. She just hasn't contacted Rusty yet.

Question for you, TNT: why, all these years later, are you being such stingy little bastards about showing us just a few little snippets of the show? It's been over a decade since season one. Why the hell won't you upload the scenes from the season finale where the team metaphorically kneecaps Daniel Dunn? It's not as if that's going to keep you from selling the series two different networks and streaming services. I'm watching it locally on StartTV, but seeing as I don't have an over-the-air DVR, I have no way to watch the scene I missed by being asleep this evening. IT'S A DECADE OLD. Why can't you just let us have a couple of scenes once in a while?

There are many destructive things in life... alcohol and drugs are at the top of the list. You'd think Rusty's biological mom would want to stay sober and get drug tested so she can get better and actually start being a good, responsible parent. Hopefully she'll change for the better but if not then at least there's still hope for Rusty, if he ever decides to become a parent, to be a better one than her.

You think this is good I found a fanfic which took place earlier in the season where Evil Sharon came demanding to see Rusty so Good Sharon had her read her rights and made her demand a lawyer. She then told her she couldn't question her as a result and Evil Sharon couldn't speak without automatically waiving her rights but Good Sharon could talk to her. Sharon shared her own story with her and it prompted Evil Sharon to pretty much admit she never cared about Rusty and was only using him. As Sharon pointed out she also confessed to child abuse, child neglect, possession of controlled substances and forging a medical document as well. Since she'd asked for a lawyer then talked before he got there she effectively waived that right as Sharon warned her and her confession could be used against her. Sharon offered to get her a deal if she did a written confession and surrendered her parental rights like Daniel Dunn did. Evil Sharon ended up complying and probably got more prison time than here.

Given last night's episode Sharon DIDN'T make a mistake with this. In fact, Sharon Beck is probably grateful to her for it since it seems like she turned her life around. She looks and seems a lot better now and she was genuinely happy to hear from her son and worried about his safety, not manipulative towards him like before. She seems like a totally different person now and looks like one too. If she was still on drugs and hiding it I doubt she'd have been able to pull the act off for as long as she did without being found out or look as healthy as she does. Sharon forced her sober and it seems to have stuck, especially since she got out after a year and didn't spend 7 in prison as she would've if she'd screwed up. I'm actually worried about her now and I never thought that would happen. At least Rusty has Gus to help him with the situation. As an Army veteran Gus should be able to help handle Gary.

It was great how tonight had a similar scene but instead with Rusty and Gary his mom's asshole ex-boyfriend. Man Rusty definitely inherited Sharon's ability to get a confession from a suspect and put them away forever. AND in a great jailhouse scene too!!! Like with Sharon Beck in this episode the County Jail recording all visitations worked against Gary. He gets sent to jail forever and Sharon Beck is exonerated or at least gets a much lighter sentence. Beyond her willingness to testify if they can put Gary away for good and Hobbs saying they can now accept that offer we don't know what'll happen to her. She probably won't get much time if any given Gary confirmed she really didn't know what he was up to.

A fic I found last night had Sharon get shot outside the station. She survives and they catch the shooter and looking into it they realize Sharon Beck hired him to kill Sharon in revenge for this. They're able to prove it with the help of Brenda who returns when she hears about the shooting and interviews Sharon Beck personally. Beck refuses to talk but her hitman does and when Rios takes it to trial they are able to send her away for life.
