My fav Wyll and Karlach interaction comes from playing with friends If one of you recruit Karlach and the other Wyll! The cutscene won’t happen! Instead they will be on opposite sides of the camp just straight up bitching about each other hahaha
It just triggers later. At least it did for me. Before that the narrator said that while they are on opposite sides of camp but that peace wont last forever.
@@imrileth6618 You can actually glitch it to not happen until the game forcefully removes one of them from you and needs you to Long Rest to get them back. However the game will not know what to do with the Scene and play it out in a White Void because it tries to do it in the Camp that you're at, when the Scene is coded to take place in the Wilderness Camp. I managed to actually prevent it from happening with a friend until Karlach forcefully leaves your Party after killing Gortash. You can btw cause the Cutscene Glitch with other such things as well. But some are actually prevented from happening unless you're at the right place. Another example of a Cutscene happening in a white Void is taking ANY Netherstone-Item into camp and NOT using it to remove the Netherstone from it. Then doing so in the Camp. The Game expects you to take the Netherstone ASAP and won't know how to display the Scene if you're not in the right place (Temple of Bhaal, Wyrm's Rock Throne Room or the Mindlayer Colony)

Honestly I can't explain how I missed him, I think I just didn't make the correlation that the man in the training yard was the same man from the cutscene, and never interacted there, and he wasn't a companion I knew about when I got the game (even though he's on the main screen. I just didn't know enough about anything to make the correlation) ...unfortunately for me, recruiting karlach was a "oh right I should look up how to get her before I exit act 1!" The first scene is so lovely and reminds me of how much I love these characters “You can also choose to turn against Karlach or kill Wyll” Me, out loud to no one: No!
You can actually recruit Karlach easily before Wyll. Get into the druid grove but don't go after Wyll, instead go where Zevlor is. To the left there will be some rocks you can climb on. Once you're there, find a ladder and go up it, and then to your right will be a big fall leading right to the Risen Road area Karlach is in. Feather Fall it and recruit her, then TP back to the grove.
Wyll ambushing me at camp actually happened to me in my first playthrough even tho I did the entire goblin camp/emerald grove quest first because I just. didn't find Wyll in the grove. Literally walked past him SO MANY TIMES BY ACCIDENT

Here is a nifty little gem you probably don't know of. There is a part of Act 1 where you can only hear a dialog interaction if you have modded back in the deities cut from the game during beta. After the goblins attack the grove, if you strike the human or let the tiefling hit him, he and his group will leave. If you find his group on the bridge before the goblin-infested town while playing cleric, you can offer to pray for his fallen allies. The hidden dialogue occurs if your chosen deity is one that was removed from the game. For example, when I discovered this, my chosen deity was Baal. My cleric said, "Oh, Baal God of murder, accept these deaths as a ritual sacrifice." To this, the group leader replies, "Great. I've been wasting my time speaking with a Baalist lunatic." I thought it was interesting that the interaction was still in the game, but you have to have a mod to see it.
"usually the harpers die" what? I don't know about tactician but on normal none of them ever died despite doing this part multiple times, I guess having the blood of lathander and using torch really helps out
yeah i've played through that part many times and none of them ever died in my game (except yonas). even when i didn't have blood of lathander there were no harper deaths.
true, even in honor it's such an easy fight that you must be really unlucky to have someone killed. I mean, some npcs are stupid and run into the dark but, if you haved use light in your party before then the area is probably so iluminated that it would even be a problem.
The most funny dialogue and that most probably never got is by sleeping with Raphael's lover and then as a reward you get to ask for one of Raphaels secrets, just ask how good he is in bed :D
I play on PC. I have the Gortash head mod that makes him resemble Lucius Malfoy whom his voice actor also played. He is much more handsome and it matches his voice and style more tbh.
If you take the other route to Last Light Inn and don't trigger that encounter where the Harpers are attacked by the Shadows, you get that last interaction, too. Happened to me recently with my Durge character. Came around from the other direction, having gone straight to Moonrise, and never had that battle and saw them doing the funeral.
My first playthrough Astarion wanted to kill the guy (Gandrel) which I allowed, my current playthrough I was prepared to persuade him to let it be... and it wasn't needed, Astarion didn't say a thing about it which surpriced me.🤔
I got the Karlach/Wyll cutscene while having recruited Wyll already. I just didn't have him with me and never mentioned him in Karlach's dialogue options, and I killed the "paladins" already too. Next time I went to camp, this cutscene happened.
4:40 What do you mean peaceful option? What do you mean turn on Karlack? It's literally impossible to choose anything other than to make Wyll a camp decoration for threatening Karlach.
That’s how I met wyll on my second playthrough. After grabbing karlach and dealing with the Paladins I headed to the grove to see what wyll would say. To my surprise he wasn’t training the children like he normally is. I was later ambushed at long rest and was really interested how many people would have went this route on first playthrough because it was kind of out of the way.
Hey Dan a thought if you would listen I was wondering what would happen if you went to all the rachni songs locations and if you put them all together or put them in a certain order or play them backwards both ways would you be able to hear something recognizable? I’m just curious if they have more to the Easter egg, I’m fine if there isn’t anything more, but just an interesting thought, also try and put it into Morse code maybe? Long calls would be dashes and calls would be dots. Sorry I’m just really curious now if this Easter egg has anything other than sounds.
For the Orin one you can actually double down. You can get the Information from Sarevok's Desk that Orin is both his Daughter AND Granddaughter AND the information that Sarevok told Helena to kill Orin. So you can tell her that her beloved Sarevok not only isn't only her Grandfather but also her Father AND that he told Helena to kill her At which point Orin will be so Mad that Bhaal intervenes and FORCES her Transformation into the Slayer-Form. Additonally there's a Secret that is maybe even more hidden than the 9 given here.... And it's the implication that the Player (as in you as the controlling person, not the Character) are in fact the Tadpole. There is an Easter-Egg that if you keep clicking a Character's Portrait to select them, even if you're already on them, they will say an unique line before stopping to say anything for a while. For the Origin Characters, those are things that somehow relate to them or just them getting a bit pissy with you, without much indication that it's ingrained in Lore that the constant 'poking' actually happens. For example Shadowheart has one line where she wonders if Viconia will let her have a Pet if she actually finishes the Mission successfully. *Tav* is the exception. If you keep clicking a Tav they will give you a few lines which can be rather bland, like: "I'm awake!.... Mostly" "I'm Starting to get a Headache" INTERESTING are the other two that Tavs get: "Must be the Tadpole" and "Quit squirming around in there" (it's not Squirming but it also works i guess) So Tav will either assume that the constant 'nagging' must be the Tadpole or outright tell the Tadpole to stop being annoying. When YOU keep annoying them. Also there's the Fact that there's actually Lines of Dialogue for Tavs that play out only in certain instances. For example, if you approach the Gith-Patrol near the Bridge, there will be a Line by a Party Member about either avoiding it for now, or actually approaching. Basically if you're Level 4 or lower, one of the Party will discourage you from going there yet. If you're Level 5 or higher they'll be more than happy to confront the Gith-Patrol. Now if you DON'T have an Origin Character with you, Tav will actually do the line instead of it being omitted, so if you're alone or your party is only Tavs, one of them will say "Let's not go there yet" or "Let's take them on". Additionally there's Tav-exclusive dialogue that only happens if your Party has multiple Tavs and seems to only happen when there's no Origin Characters in the Party. Mostly at times where usually the Characters have a short banter. Examples: Talking to Gandrel without Astarion and asking him for the reason that Astarion is being hunted for, will prompt Gandrel to actually tell you the reason. Still not selling Astarion out here and ending the conversation either by attacking Gandrel and killing him or just leaving causes this interaction: Tav 2 (One of the ones who didn't talk to Gandrel): "Protecting a Child-stealing Vampire? Bold Choice." Tav 1 (the one who talked to Gandrel): "Let's hope this doesn't come back to bite me later..." Saving Mayrina and raising the dead Connor. Tav 1 (the one who did it) "Maybe using Ethel's Wand wasn't the best choice" Tav 2: "What's done is done. There's no going back now" Opening the Door of the Barn where the Bugbear is having some intimate time with the Ogre-Lady and killing them Tav 1: "Never thought i'd ever walk in on a bugbear and an ogre." Tav 2: "Everytime i close my eyes, I can see... it." I love that Larian thought about the possibility of there only being Tavs in the Party and giving them some banter. It is however sadly overwritten by Companions, even if the initiating Tav is alone, the Game will instead trigger Banter about these things from an Origin Character if one is present.
I actually JUST did number 1 today! I wanted to see what would happen, and I was still on the fence about recruiting Wyll all together, he generally just is a camp buddy for me.
Ive never missed the last one since Ive always played with Party Limit Begone and everyone always survives when you have a gang of 7 members and a crow and floating sword and a spirit guardian xD
If yiu loot Yonas' sword you can give it to the harper who is mourning her for a little bit more dialogue and I think a health potion as a reward if I remember correctly
I've got the same scene with Karlack by recruiting Wyl first. He was already in the Camp, I had her in my party. We took some beating from her quest, I took long rest, same scene happened. Now I'm curious what was supposed to happen. [EDIT] Nope, the last part was different, since he didn't need permission.
Maaaan, seeing all the weird edge case interactions Larian prepared for makes me even more disappointed that you don't get any unique dialog or interactions at Rosymorn Monastery if you're playing as a cleric of Lathander.
Last time I got to the brothers I knew I wouldn’t be able to pass the dc (easily) to persuade them not to run towards Ethyl’s lair, so I knocked them out w/ nonlethal attacks and dealt with Ethyl myself. I’m unsure what happened to them after that tbh
My first through I missed Wyll, I didnt saw him, lmao, so I recruted karlach first following the corpses after the knolls, lmao 😂 As for the Harpers, I did saved the two ladies, I tried to stay close to them, the dwarf kept leaving too far from my torch and he turned when I killed the last shadow 😩

4:40 What do you mean peaceful option? What do you mean turn on Karlack? It's literally impossible to choose anything other than to make Wyll a camp decoration for threatening Karlach.
regarding the one where you drop the whole damn church down on Astarion- I thought everyone did that XD (Its too funny not to)
If you abandon hope you give in to despair 🤪😂
it wasn’t until my third playthrough that I found Wyll before Karlach
That’s how I met wyll on my second playthrough. After grabbing karlach and dealing with the Paladins I headed to the grove to see what wyll would say. To my surprise he wasn’t training the children like he normally is. I was later ambushed at long rest and was really interested how many people would have went this route on first playthrough because it was kind of out of the way.
the ambush in the camp happens no matter what order you find them in. Same set of dialogue too.
The cutscene with Karlach and Wyll can also play if you just never recruit Wyll I went to the Grove before I recruited Wyll and this cutscene played
Hearing Wyll say “I’ve not grown any tentacles yet, thank Balduran” I’m like 👀👀👀👀👀 NOT WELLLLL- NOT QUITE 😂

Haha he's right when he says "Thank Balduran" when he says he has no tentacles
The one with Lathander's cannon. In my mind, my Dark Urge was like "Yeah, payback for sucking me dry lol!" Wish that would've been a dialogue option
I somehow got the wyll and karlach scene still doing it normally by getting karlach after wyll
I think you get it if he's with you when you find her
For the Orin one you can actually double down.
You can get the Information from Sarevok's Desk that Orin is both his Daughter AND Granddaughter AND the information that Sarevok told Helena to kill Orin.
So you can tell her that her beloved Sarevok not only isn't only her Grandfather but also her Father AND that he told Helena to kill her
At which point Orin will be so Mad that Bhaal intervenes and FORCES her Transformation into the Slayer-Form.
If you keep clicking a Tav they will give you a few lines which can be rather bland, like:
"I'm awake!.... Mostly"
"I'm Starting to get a Headache"
INTERESTING are the other two that Tavs get:
"Must be the Tadpole" and "Quit squirming around in there" (it's not Squirming but it also works i guess)
So Tav will either assume that the constant 'nagging' must be the Tadpole
or outright tell the Tadpole to stop being annoying.
Examples:
Talking to Gandrel without Astarion and asking him for the reason that Astarion is being hunted for, will prompt Gandrel to actually tell you the reason. Still not selling Astarion out here and ending the conversation either by attacking Gandrel and killing him or just leaving causes this interaction:
Tav 2 (One of the ones who didn't talk to Gandrel): "Protecting a Child-stealing Vampire? Bold Choice."
Tav 1 (the one who talked to Gandrel): "Let's hope this doesn't come back to bite me later..."
Saving Mayrina and raising the dead Connor.
Tav 1 (the one who did it) "Maybe using Ethel's Wand wasn't the best choice"
Tav 2: "What's done is done. There's no going back now"
Opening the Door of the Barn where the Bugbear is having some intimate time with the Ogre-Lady and killing them
Tav 1: "Never thought i'd ever walk in on a bugbear and an ogre."
Tav 2: "Everytime i close my eyes, I can see... it."
I love that Larian thought about the possibility of there only being Tavs in the Party and giving them some banter.
You also get the funeral at last light if you go in thru mountain pass, then side with the Harper’s. That’s how I got it.
Can you do a video on whether to free Orpheus or not. Interesting moral discussion
Bro has the most basic Tav I’ve ever seen
I've got the same scene with Karlack by recruiting Wyl first. He was already in the Camp, I had her in my party. We took some beating from her quest, I took long rest, same scene happened. Now I'm curious what was supposed to happen. [EDIT] Nope, the last part was different, since he didn't need permission.
I actually got the scene for recruiting Karlach first in my first playthrough, strictly because I didn't notice Wyll in the camp 😂
New To BG3 And Your Videos Got Me Hooked Subbed !!
If they make a movie based of BG3 I can see Rhea ripley play karlach
Was he playing as Cullen in Baldurs Gate? It very much looks like Cullen from Dragon Age 😂
I didn’t knew we could recruit Will before Karlach 😅
Woo I had already done one of the things (speak with orins mother)
Interesting, so much content in this game. Love it! 😄
Also, if you pick up Yonas' sword you can give it to the haper woman that's at his grave site
Alternatively you can lie to the Gur hunter and won't have to fight nor lose Astarion...Astarion will pretend not toknow what the Gur refers to
Huh. I've done 5 or 6 runs and i never knew not killing gortash in town was an option. I thought you had to go get his stone.
Zombie Astarion: Happy 😁 sacrificial lamb ☠️
Maaaan, seeing all the weird edge case interactions Larian prepared for makes me even more disappointed that you don't get any unique dialog or interactions at Rosymorn Monastery if you're playing as a cleric of Lathander.
I actually got the first cutscene! I somehow completely missed recruiting Wyll in the grove
if you pick up yonas' sword you get extra dialogue
Why does Rafael looks like Gavin Newsom?
Last time I got to the brothers I knew I wouldn’t be able to pass the dc (easily) to persuade them not to run towards Ethyl’s lair, so I knocked them out w/ nonlethal attacks and dealt with Ethyl myself. I’m unsure what happened to them after that tbh
On the last point The secret funeral happened for me with all the same people but I didn't do the fight.
My first through I missed Wyll, I didnt saw him, lmao, so I recruted karlach first following the corpses after the knolls, lmao 😂
As for the Harpers, I did saved the two ladies, I tried to stay close to them, the dwarf kept leaving too far from my torch and he turned when I killed the last shadow 😩
It takes a special kind of monster to kill Karlach.. Im an asshole and she even turned me over to being good. K bae is a goddess
I got conpletely blindsided when i hadnt long rest at all up to Ethel, and Astarion just straight up murdered the monster hunter on the hill.
My goody two shoes Cleric was too stunned to speak
Seeing astarion as a zombie breaks my heart
Man I wish you could side with cazador and get his help to save baldurs gate for a durge playthrough
The dlc should be 2 more acts, Act 4 and Act 5.
Two more acts would require higher levels though, and at 13 you get level 7 spells, which could break the narrative unles Larian nerfed them horribly
For me all the harpers but Meygan died, it was so sad and dramatic to see her alone grieving for her dead friends...
12:34 megamind reference😂
"Abandon Hope."
Ah, you get that cut scene if you play as Karlach origin too. ;)
Try to max out kawakami's confidant as soon as possible😂
Got her maxed!
I surendered Astarion while he was at the camp, hoping for a scene when the guy comes to pick him up. But i only got a text message that someone must have gotten Astarion while everyone was asleep.
I have almost 900 hours in this game, yet I still hadn’t seen a few of these. This is exactly why I have 900 hours 😂
I could never hand Astarion over 😭
3:50 - Karlach is a good girl.
