Great video. My one thing is going to be to go skydiving. I agreed with everything with one exception. As a 50 year old ISFP, I would say that, if you are an ISFP, you should ALWAYS trust your intuition about others. If you sense someone is "against you" or does not have your best interest at heart, ALWAYS pay attention to that. My intuition about others has rarely ever steered me wrong and I virtually always end up regretting it when I second guess myself.

the depressive loop where we don’t see a future so we stop trying.. man,, if anything describes my life that’s it. i have childhood trauma, my home life was very unstable. because that depression started so young i never even became creative.

As a INFP with ADHD, severe social anxiety, and depression I can tell you it’s hard. 26 years old, I sit alone at home all day and just can’t break the cycle. This was something I needed to hear. Thank you❤️

“It’s not enough” this is what sometimes stress me out that it’s not enough or I’m not enough . I don’t know but I’m a perfectionist it’s either i do it with 100% and put my heart in it or i don’t do it at all . But anyway I’m thankful because this video came on time xD it’s like a life message “

so true... as an ISFP this is very very true. I get stuck in that Fi-Ni loop, constantly ruminating about things that are trivial. I become paranoid so badly, wondering what people are thinking about me and how I am an embarrassing human being. then I blame it on other people for the ways I feel. and it ends up becoming a cycle. but getting out and doing things, no matter how scared i am, has changed things. take action. Our Se is there to protect us from such moments. thank you for this. very much needed. (also you have a very calm and sweet way of conveying your message 😊)

    • @GeekPsychology

Keep at it! Taking action is key! I actually just prepped a short video on that.

Ok, now that I watched the whole thing, its pretty accurate, especially the warrior mystic dichotomy (I even resorted to assigning them vague identities and "colors" to know in what mental state i'm in). If there's anything I can add to help my fellow ISFP's is this: you may feel a lot of anxiety when watching this video and say something along the lines of "but my mystic is what makes me me. its what makes me not impulsive and end up being dull and not who I am, and makes me just pick up trends or things that are not as novel as I want them to be. its the reason I can shine; its me playing it smart."
You see, you're under the impression that your warrior (the aspect of you that acts) does not have an intelligence of its own. It really does. It just uses different methods to exercise that intelligence. Instead of looking at the thing in question, and comparing and contrasting it to every other dot inside you (dont lie. I know you do this), it goes by hunch. and keep in mind, "hunch" is not something arbitrary or inconsistent; its VERY consistent. its why you curl your nose when something smells "off", or why you are VERY good at playing "find the 5 differences". Its you using your good old sensation (even in testing the vibe of a room or a gathering) and then, with a snap of a finger, do all the right actions in order to align it to that which you already know in your warrior intelligence.
If I have any practical tip for you, its this: pick up a sport, or an engaging video game. try to get good at it. you wont believe me until you see, for yourself, the immense amount of intelligence that happens with hand-eye quick coordination and throwing yourself into action. you will realize its not as stupid or arbitrary or half-baked as you think it is. Its a very very clear and defined intelligence that you can literally "taste"; its just a different kind of intelligence. an intelligence that is actually your strongest point, and can carry you to places your mystic can never even dream of, no matter how much dots they connect. your mystic is extremely smart, but I GUARANTEE you your warrior is smarter.

You’re so right, you can’t fully appreciate Se intelligence until you’re in the moment, witnessing it in all its glory. For me it manifests in my singing, where it just comes out in the moment without me having to think about it. Thank you for this perspective friend!!! ❤

As an ISFP, and knowing you're an INFP, I can tell where you went wrong: while Fi manifests in you as conscience and "the right thing", and "being a good person", it manifests in us differently. It manifests as "is this who I am", "is this in alignment with my identity and self expression" and we get pissed off when we see rough people who didnt perfect their self expression and dont "shine". Subtle but big difference. Now ill keep watching the video.

This actually resonated way too much for me right now. I'm supposed to be an INFP, yet I recognize this a lot for myself, sort of walking around avoiding everyone because I feel that anyone would hate me or just seeing people as dangerous otherwise. I guess it's more a social anxiety thing. It happens like clockwork if I avoid interaction for enough time. I wonder how you'd differentiate the Si mode of this loop, tho I guess u have plenty of those vids.

Fi + Pi/Pe is going to have similarities. I used some of my experience with Si to tap into how Ni works on an emotional level. I'd just differentiate by saying Si is physical and experiential comfort/safety where Ni would be ideational and future-pacing-focused comfort/safety, if that amounts to anything as a response lol.

You're right! The only time I'm ever truly happy is when I'm doing art or when I'm out in nature.
I've been so overwhelmed and emotionally exhausted from my new job that all I do is worry about the future. After work and on weekends I'm way too tired to do the things that I love, which is apparently hurting me even more.
Right now I've discovered minimalism and I'm trying to simplify my life and declutter my home. I'm doing this so that in the near future I can focus on what I love and not be bogged down by everything else

The idealogical thinkers of the world, ENFP and INFPs, are looking to see their ideas come to fruition. Our job as ISFPs are to find those great visions and make them reality.

Well apparently the Warrior Mystic is spot on for me, according to others. I mean I don't disagree but I'm thinking of reasons that I'm not an ISFP, that my reasons for not moving forward are valid and that maybe I'm a flighty ENFP who started five college courses as a teen and finished none (I finished three as an adult mind you), a psychic tumultuous INFJ or something else. Round and round and round. Deciding for certain, breathing and then doubting over and over. Feeling like ISFPs are seen as shallow and opaque and morose when I'm the opposite. I'm not closed and hard to know, I'm chatty and curious and open and see the silver lining. I'm quirky and random and my brain moves super fast. So yeh, I'm discombonulated.
