  • The omnivore diet versus the vegan diet: Which one is better for your cardiovascular health? Stanford researchers found the answer by changing the eating habits of identical twins. The results were not only insightful but amusing! Turns out the vegans fared better with lower cholesterol, more weight loss and actually tested younger.

I went vegan 3 years ago due to a family history of heart disease and my own health scare. I love being vegan, I feel much better, I have more energy, can think clearer but it takes a lot of discipline and planing and reskilling. There is subtle blowback from family and friends. The smell of a bbq is so tempting. I find at church functions etc I take some yummy vegan food I have learnt to cook (so I can at least have something to eat) and it gets taken first, Go figure. It's a challenge sometimes.

I would love a more in depth video about the results if possible

Great video! Having been vegan for about 5 years and vegetarian for the previous 25 before that, the results don't surprise me at all (my blood test results are off the charts, in a positive way. I'm 50 and I definitely feel about 15 years younger than other guys my age, in terms of energy, healthy weight, libido, etc). It's encouraging seeing the information presented in a scientific, fun and accessible way. Anyone interested should maybe check out the documentary Game Changers that came out a few years ago. Thank you Stanford!

I have followed a PBWF no oil diet since 2015, I was wandering if the oil vs no oil was really something to do for weight loss and health in general. I often heard Christopher Gardner mentioned not having problems with olive oils even though they are processed…? very curious!

Go figure! You're healthier when you eat more antioxidants, polyphenols, vitamins/minerals, and fiber.
