- Hey there, fellow homeowners! Today, we're going to talk about how to clean and seal an old patio.
First things first, you'll need to gather your supplies. You'll want a power washer, a broom, a hose, a scrub brush, and a sealant.
Now, let's get started! Begin by power washing the patio to remove any dirt, grime, or stains. Once it's clean, use a broom to sweep away any debris. Next, give it a good scrub with the hose and a scrub brush to remove any remaining dirt.
Finally, apply the sealant. This will help protect your patio from the elements and keep it looking great for years to come.
And there you have it! A clean and sealed patio that's ready for all your outdoor fun. Thanks for tuning in, and if you found this helpful, don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for more home improvement tips. Until next time, happy homeowning! - Хобби
Brilliant
Cheers buddy 👍🏴
Use a product called 'Wet n Forget'. It is really good for getting rid of lichen, including black spot lichen and it lasts ages. It also keeps flags and blocks really clean as well. Just spray it on and leave it. In a few weeks it starts to show it is working and just improve with time. Can't recommend it enough.
Thx for that I’ll,have a looksy 👍🏴
Hey Scott, don't forget to take before and after photos from the same vantage point, and put them right next to each other for a job comparison view.
It'd also be cool if you had the comparison photos for each step as well. It would help people understand the effect of doing multiples of the same act.
Existing state > Pressure Washed > First Chemical Wash > Second Chemical Wash > First Sealer Coat > Second Sealer Coat
I did think of that but it’s so slight with the chemicals to clean it would of been hard to notice but next time I’ll try 👍🏴
Liking the wellies Scotty 😎😎
Finally bought some fed up,with wet feet 👍🏴
Tidy cleanup 💪🏻🏴
Quite enjoyable too 👍🏴
Much easier than laying the bloody things scott nice job mate 👍
No brawn power needed just point and aim bish bosh instant change 👍🏴
Very strong that Scott , I have a stone mason friend that put me on to that liquid chlorine , I use it on my drive pretty good stuff 🙂
Right on yeh who would of thought chlorine would work so well 👍🏴
Hi tidy bricks. So do you seal patio then grout it.
Is this practice on all patios old or new. And porcilin
Depends on how permeable you want it to be seal, first to let more water out. Same for porcelain 👍🏴 only seal patio at least 6 months after instal but that’s only on stone
Christ! Must have plenty of cash using Hypo neat. 1 > 3 shiild do the job then apply neat to the hard to shift areas. Looks good tho
£20 for 5 litres who cares it’s a quicker clean 👍🏴
@@tidybrickslandscaping cheaper online with Jennychem mate. 5L £17 or x4 5L for £38
@@markan79 yeh it’s not that expensive really but does have a shelf life I’ve learned lately as over a month it looses its strength apparently 👍🏴
@tidybrickslandscaping Yeah it goes off quite quickly that's the only downside. I've tried all sorts and nothing works as good as Hypo esp with a drop of surfactant so it dwells on the surface.
@@markan79 this hypo stuff is all new to me really only started using it recently so it’s a big learning curve 👍🏴
U dont you use a petrol jetwash
I’m planning on a new toy soon from Sweden 👍🏴
@@tidybrickslandscaping you will never use an electeic 1 again after 🤣
So you wouldent seal porcilin
I always believed porcelain didn’t need sealing but actually it does 👍🏴
