Inspector Gadget: Extended Main Title Sequence

- Happy 40th Anniversary to the man they called GADGET!
This extended main title sequence for Inspector Gadget (1983) was initially featured as a post-credits scene in the extended cut of Disney's Inspector Gadget (1999) honoring the late comedian Don Adams, the iconic voice of Inspector Gadget from 1983 to 1999. Adams would reprise the role of Gadget several times throughout his career including Inspector Gadget Saves Christmas (1992), Gadget Boy & Heather (1995), Field Trip Starring Inspector Gadget (1996), Gadget Boy's Adventures in History (1997) and providing a cameo as the voice of Brain in Disney's Inspector Gadget (1999).
This edit features a custom remix of the Inspector Gadget theme song (originally composed by the legendary Shuki Levy) which combines the main USA theme, ending credits USA theme and the main French theme variation, voice overs and sound effects from the original Inspector Gadget animated series, voice acting credits for Don Adams, Frank Welker, Cree Summer and Don Francks, Gadget showing off the various bits of Gadget-technology he uses throughout the animated series (such as the Gadget sonar, Gadget copter, Gadget mobile, Gadget laser, Gadget Police light, Gadget mallet, Gadget magnifying glass, and Gadget coat).
3 scenes were modified to fit the criteria of this video:
Gadget jumping into the Gadget mobile:
0:37 - 0:38 - this scene was an edit based on another clip showing Gadget jumping into the Gadget mobile as it was sitting in Gadget's garage at home. I had to modify scene in Adobe Premiere Pro to show Gadget landing into the Gadget mobile while it was in motion/driving along with green hills passing in the background.
Dr. Claw's computer view screen:
1:12 - 1:19 the clips on Claw's computer view screen were taken from various episodes of Inspector Gadget (1983). The lower 3rd graphics of MCN (Metro City News) was something I created in Photoshop to put on clips of Capeman and Gadget arresting a few of Claw's henchmen to signify that MAD is always stopped by Gadget (with help from Chief Quimby, Penny and Brain).
Penny's computer notebook screen:
1:49 - 1:50 added in a short clip from the original Inspector Gadget pilot episode showing Gadget running up to the entrance of a MAD hideout.

Seriously great job on your edits. I just watched your extended cut of the movie, bravo 👏 Inspector Gadget was definitely one of my favorite shows growing up, you did it Justice ❤
1983 al 1997
This feels like a proper homage on the 40th anniversary of Gadget
True.
I was alive when Inspector Gadget was on air, but for some reason Nickelodeon got desperate and played the reruns during the 90's. I watched a fair share of Inspector Gadget.
Yep.
The show was also on the network in the 80s with Danger Mouse
If I remember it correctly it was the late 90's when that happened because I remember it being aired on local antenna channels for most of the early 90's but I can't remember which channels had the shows.
@night-x6793 if you lived in the US, Gadget was heavily broadcasted on Nickelodeon in the early 90s (along with Danger Mouse and Count Duckula).
@@SlayerSantiago I remember it was aired as a Saturday morning cartoon and for after school timeslots but Nickelodeon was still new at the time so I don't know who had Nickelodeon which shouldn't be surprising since most prefer antenna channels over cable because antenna TV was free.
incredible job on this! I especially love the skillful edit of Gadget's laser pointer -> the family escaping from the fire.
I have surprisingly never heard the French theme over the USA theme before, but it sounds really, really good haha!
Thank you!
………That was……pure art…..
LIKE HOLY CHRIST, WAS THAT GOOD!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Thank you!

Gadget: Alright, don't move!
*Handcuffs fake Claw*
Gadget: *Sees he arrested a bomb* Uh-oh!
*KABOOM!!!*
My favourite part of the intro I'm happy stays similar in the Inspector Gadget 2.0 on Netflix.
DONT EVER DELETE THIS BRO,, it's so good it just became my fav video lol
40 years of Classic Gadget,
24 years of Movie Gadget,
and yet he's still using BROWN BRICKS IN MOINECRAPT!
Edit: Also, there's from what I've heard from The Lost Media Wiki, a scene where after he comes back to life, Gadget apparently sings 'Oklahoma'. Could this be possible?
Yes! I actually found that out that fact from the director!
@@SlayerSantiago I KNEW IT! - Inspector Gadget, 1999.
The first one was hacked to bits by Disney. The director was really trying to make a darker/more adult version of Gadget for the big screen. It's not the greatest film but it could have turned out much better if Disney studio execs didn't get involved in the editing room!
@@SlayerSantiago Yeah. And possibly the only people I think could possibly have these deleted scenes are either Disney themselves or the producers of the movie, Roger Birnbaum, Andy Heyward and Jordan Kerner.
Wowzers!!! Some edits are insane! Great job on the tribute!!!
Glad you liked it!!
I like that this paints Gadget as a bit more coherent and serious while still being a kid's show. I looooved watching the show when I was growing up and I get it was just supposed to be kid-friendly humor, but even as a kid, I got tired of just how "bumbling" and dumb he really was.
I always wished he was more competent!
Honestly if you want a more serious inspector gadget, I would recommend watching “inspector gadget’s last case”.
@@LillianGraceFullofficial What's that?
Animated Inspector Gadget movie
@@LillianGraceFullofficialor the pilot episode “Gadget in Winterland”
One of my favorite cartoon's from my childhood
This show will be airing on MeTV Toons in June 25 next month this summer.
Go Go Gadget AWESOME!
Good job however was I the only one that thought that The Chef was really Dr. Claw? Think about it, he's always trying to blow up Gadget with the mission message and ends up getting himself blown up in the end. I know the whole "this message will self destruct in 5 seconds" is a call back to "Mission Impossible" but still it makes you wonder.
Cmon brain my daddy needs help! Also inspector: 0:32
This deserves more credit than it serves! I most especially love how you added in the shot of Inspector Gadget stopping at the lair that was taken from the Pilot intro. Nice work man.
While Inspector Gadget was rerunning in syndication on local stations at the same time, the show was aired on multiple TV cable and networks in the U.S., including Nickelodeon, CBS, and The Family Channel.
Which was the episode that he shot the laser followed by saving Penny with the copter hat? That had to be the most awesome thing Gadget ever pulled off.
Combined clips from a few different episodes to make it seem like it was all from the same episode!
@@SlayerSantiago love to see those episodes. The good inspector gets a lot of flack for his incompetence, but there are a number of times he’s earned his place as a hero.
@@SlayerSantiagowell what was the episode with the explosion
The explosion was from S01E02 Monster Lake (when Gadget uses the lazer to blast through the interior of Dr. Claw's mechanical lake monster).
I love your version of the extended Inspector Gadget theme, in both English and French. I grew up watching Inspector Gadget on Nickelodeon, CBS, and my local station FOX54 here in Huntsville, AL in the 90s(though I saw it more on Nickelodeon in the late 80s when I was 6-7 years old). Interesting fact that you or anyone else might not know: Gadget’s pilot episode, Winter Olympics, use the Season 1 title opening with Gadget’s mustache and the end credits was the well known ending
I grew up watching Gadget on Nickelodeon, CBS, FOX24 here in South Carolina, The Family Channel/Fox Family/ABC Family and Starz Encore Family.
Inspector Gadget was also on Nickelodeon in the late 80s and early 90s with Danger Mouse.
Don Adams would be proud of you
i use to watch this show frequently as a kid in the '80's but i never saw this version of the title sequence before. like i never even knew that it existed.
Pitch this to DHX Media and Disney! Since Disney's making a new Inspector Gadget movie...
I have no words to describe how perfect this is! Congratulations!!! 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Thank you!!
Inspector gadget was and part of the 80s cartoon history even today

And that all started with Inspector Gadget.
i am also of The 1983 y 1990
...still kind of hard to believe that this started off as a Lupin III spin-off, but got worked into its own thing when DiC couldn't get the rights. (Lupin VIII, to be specific.)
Then again, I see very little evidence to prove this, beyond TMS' quality animation. This IS the internet, you know.
True, still that Lupin VIII pilot is interesting to see where they wanted to go.
Most info out there says the idea for Inspector Gadget was actually developed independently, but one could see how they may possibly could have taken some inspiration after producing the Lupin VIII pilot.
#InspectorGadget3 We need that movie pronto
Best Cartoon Ever
My favorite TV show
I love this sm 😍❤️!
During 1991-92 at the same time, the long-running Inspector Gadget was simultaneously being rerun aired on Nickelodeon, on CBS Saturday mornings and on local syndicated stations.
that was fun to watch
Thanks Cap'n!
At 0:56 or so, are the "Go, Gadget, Go!"s a different take or pitched up at all in comparison to the show's original? I can't help but feel like they sound different (and honestly a little bit better) than what's used in the tv show. This entire sequence is marvelous by the way, Wowsers! Top notch!
That is from the ending credits theme (I pitched it down slightly so it would sound like the same key as the main theme).
@@SlayerSantiago ahhh, thank you!
The 41st Anniversary of Inspector Gadget would be this fall :)
Brilliant! 👍👍
I like he dont forget the france theme
Had to give love to all the Gadget fans in France!
What episode was it where inspector Gadget and corporate Chapman ran after the mad agent?
Season 2, Episode 7 - Gadget in Minimadness.
I'm french and i just discovered the original theme (i dont really now which is better) but at the end of the video there is the lyrics of the french theme and i think that funny because i dont think this video was made by a french

Don't worry. Just idle threats from Dr. Claw!

What channel was Inspector Gadget on for you guys? I saw it on Nickelodeon, as well as other cable stations CBS, various syndicated channels, and the Family Channel back in the day.

By the way, do you know where I can find these HD copies of the series?
Oh, never mind, just found a playlist
Could you upload the extended song from this video?
А можешь сделать аналогично, но с усатым инспектором?
I can certainly try! Unfortunately the number of episodes where Inspector Gadget had a mustache are limited. Check back for an update!
Hey! Any idea where to get that Inspector Gadget Extended cut from 1999?😊
Look no further than the Internet Archive!
