Get ready for a heart-pounding adventure as our entire bison herd makes a daring escape from the ponderosa ranch at Cross Timbers Bison! Led by our fearless 2-year-old bull, Hoss, this massive herd took advantage of a few weak spots in the fence, particularly around the creeks, following an onslaught of spring rain. Despite our hopes that they would be content with their new, expansive 80-acre pasture and abundant fresh grass, their curiosity led them to explore the fence lines, ultimately leading to their incredible breakout!
In this captivating video, witness the true strength and resilience of our team as we spring into action to bring back our runaway bison. Our emergency plan kicks into high gear as we join forces with the local community, working hand-in-hand to track down and safely corral these magnificent creatures. Marvel at the sheer power and grace of the bison as they navigate unfamiliar terrain and elude capture.
But the excitement doesn't stop there! Join us on this adrenaline-fueled journey as we share exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of our strategic efforts, innovative techniques, and heartwarming moments of unity. I grew up working on my Uncles Beefaloo ranch it was really great years as a teenager. He had about 400 head of total animals of which about 40 were pure Bison. Learned a lot about these amazing majestic beasts. One thing that we learned that really stands out is that instinct to follow patterns of movement. We had three parcels of land that were about thirty miles apart. My uncle liked the nostalgic part of working cattle from horse back so each spring and fall we would heard them from one location to the other and then back. One year a beefaloo cow calved in route and we arranged to have her stay at a neighbors ranch until the calf was a little older. Every year after that she would disappear and then show up at that neighbors ranch to have her calf. As you can imagine I have a million stories from those years. That said your RUclips channel is such a blessing for me to be able to go back to the 1970s to my younger years by watching y’all. Thanks and Good Bless your great family

Unfortunately we have a rancher here in Jefferson county Missouri where I live who let about a half a dozen of her bison get out and she didn't do anything to get them back in the sheriff's department went out and had to have them destroyed. We have had the joy of moving buffalo that decided to roam. We worked at an old west show and chuckwagon supper south of Amarillo,TX and we had 8 or 9 bison. We had a tall metal fencing and double gates and, well, when those girls wanted to roam, they did! It happened twice in the 6 years we had them before the show closed. We had to do our herding on horseback. So, someone kept an eye on them till we could get horses saddled and get all the crew there. It was never a big deal to get them back. They are easier to move, in some ways, than cattle. I loved them! It was great for our visitors from all over the world to get to see them. Fun times!❤️🤣
Y'all did a great job with the Hoss herd. Good neighbors, for sure!

Nothing like a little bit of excitement. It's nice to have neighbors and friends (community) who are willing to drop things and handle somebody else's emergency situation. Even greater none of the herd got injured and remained for the most part pretty calm. It seems the community was a bit more stressed out than the bison, who were having a great time. Things all worked out and you found the break in the fence. Can't wait to hear about the fix in an upcoming video. By the way, I bet as you introduce more acres for pasture, you'll have another round up to deal with. At least it's that way with a pack of dogs.

This gives me more faith in people. We definitely need more of this kind of togetherness, caring and helping to heal this world. Bless all that came together to help you out.

Even if they stood on the sidelines took pictures and/or just watched, they were part of the adventure. Memories were made by all.

Thank the Lord for Good Neighbors! We should always have each others back! So Happy they went home like good Bison. It pays off to get close to your Bison and you had more control over them! Great Job Dusty, Cole, Marissa, and Everyone who helped! God Bless ❤🇺🇸

Watched, remembering chasing cattle on the loose on horseback. Your herd really does look at you as alpha. You talk they hear and start moving. Glad that worked out. Your family and neighbors AND strangers are a heck of a group! 👍 God Bless 🙏💖🦬
