Luckily, this life is but a vapor in the wind compared to an eternity with God. The pilot made the decision to fly in extremely foggy weather and it ended up being a big mistake. Just a very tragic situation, but it wasn’t God’s decision for them to leave the earth that way

Im not gonna lie time flies and i thought about how it might be too late to do what i wanna do in life. But seeing dead at 41 just gave me a reality check. 41 to die is soo young. It just doesn't look right. Mamba mentality means more to me now.

Denial is the first stage of grief they say. I sure feel for his family. All the families, but his lost two close members in one devastating moment. Their lives are forever changed. Hope everyone says a prayer for them today!

6 year old me fell in love with the game of basketball because of this man. 26 year old me wept when he retired even though he deserved every moment of that game. Getting jerseys year after year of his for Christmas just made me lit up. Thank you for your contributions to this world, to the little boys and girls that fell in love with the game like I did. Prayers for Vanessa, no one should have to bury the love of their life but their baby girl who was their baby for years before having more. Give her strength to carry his memory for Bianka and Capri who won't remember much and for Natalia who is devastated. To his entire family bless them all.

Kobe was more than a regular human being. He was like superman, everything he set his mind to he could achieve, there was nothing he couldn't overcome. The fact that someone who people look up to as this immortal being actually died is such a devastating reality check of our limited time on earth. This really hit hard. Enjoy every moment and love one another.

Kobe you will always be my inspiration, i was a big fun of football here in Greece until i saw you play, from that point i wanted to be like you Kobe, i' ve started basketball just because of you. At the beggining i admired you as a basketball player only, i broke my wrist and my ankle at the same year and i stopped basketball at 15 years old. At 19 years old I fall into depression and i survived a suicide attempt because i QUIT the only thing that i loved to do. After that point you was one of the people that showed me how to keep fighting in life and not be a quitter, you showed me that everything negative - pressure, challenges - is all an opportunity for me to rise like you said. I realized that you are much more than a legendary basketball player, you are much more than a great athlete, you are the reason that i am still here and i'm still grinding. If there is a god i hope you are playing one on one with Gigi up there, Kobe even though i never met you i loved you and you will always be in my heart, my icon, my hero, my mentor!

Kobe wasn’t just a basketball player but he motivated people through his mamba mentality to be the best versions of yourself because he knew you only have one life on this earth so why not continue on a constant quest to improve yourself. His work ethic and commitment and vision is what we should carry with ourselves to release our own mamba and conquer the life we live here.

I’m truly truly saddened for Kobe, Gigi and the others. Kobe deserves to be honored for his accomplishments. Baby boy just like Nipsey, left the youth and all of us jewels to pattern our lives after. Set goals, make commitments, dedicate and work hard to achieve them. Do not under any circumstances give up.
It’s hard to really put in words how I truly feel. But know this. I find no fault in Kobe Bean Bryant !! He is my baby brother, different father and mother. He was given rare gift or calling, he developed his craft, skills, abilities..... and see what he became. He utilized what he was given, and himself- the mind body and spirit. And look what he became. I refuse to speak anything negative upon “his” being. Rest In Peace, King Kobe, Precious Gigi and the other 7 who left this place in bodily form. There are a few rare & special people, born on a mission to achieve & lead like few others: Mozart, Lincoln, Patton, MLK Jr. JFK, Hendrix, John Lennon, Bob Marley, Robin Williams, Andy Irons... Kobe Bryant. While there are many more Greats, the unique gift shared by these gifted souls was how they lived with a singular mission. - Some carried the burden against the greatest of inhumanities. Others became the most inspiring of their craft. We need both. For in war and in peace we need inspiration and guidance.
Something so valuable that Kobe shared with all the greats on this list is genuineness. The truly inspiring greats reach us by showing us their humanity. Kobe, whether on days he was winning of failing, did not live with pretense. He always showed us who he was. Through his efforts he also reflected to us who we could be if we do our best. . .
Such Greats are a gift to us, to show us what is possible. Why they were taken, after their greatest battles had been won - yet before they could just live to enjoy the rest of life with us, we may never know.
Kobe Bryant thrilled the world from the first moment he lifted off - doing the impossible by rising out of Jordan’s shadow. When he stepped on the court, we believed anything was possible - 81 ! Five rings is one of his greatest feats, especially coming in the Duncan, Wade, Nowitski, Iverson, Lebron, Kidd, Garnett, Pierce era. His light may have shown brightest when, with the Olympics and the true World Championship on the line, all the greats turned to Kobe - and he took it home for all of us. For so many of us, you are the MVP of an entire era.
Kobe we were also there for all of your mistakes. You had to grow up under the world’s first virtual microscope. Through this you showed us what devotion to hard work and focus on personal growth can do. You showed us how to survive in this new world, for aren’t we all under the microscope during these times? Like the rest of us, you were flawed. More than most of us, you were at times perfect. For both of these reasons you are hero to millions, at least, world wide.
Kobe, you thrilled us, taught us about work ethic, stoicism against doubt & pain, and the journey to learning to be a teammate. You grew from being the brash kid into being the man which a whole league men consider to be their big brother.
Most of all, every time you stepped on the court, you made us believe that for you anything was possible. When you stepped off the court we also believed anything was possible. You took a light with you when you left the league, and simply went and won an Oscar two years later! Kobe, there so much more that you could have achieved, and your beautiful family you could have shared so much more life with.
I just learned of your daughter, Gianna, we never had a chance to truly know her. Prayers for you both. What more you both would have shown your light upon, we will never know. Prayers for the flight mates, to whom you reached in generosity. May the family and friends and greater community find some light in their stories, to carry forth for what they could have been.
