Did you test the heating issue with these three products? How did they perform overall? I saw other reviews saying the GoPro heats up easily, the Osmo is pretty good, but what about the AcePro?
That was a great review of these cameras and helped me decide which one I’m going for. Congrats! Your analysis and video editing made this a useful and well-crafted video.
I’ve had several action cameras front he last 10 years. Currently, I own a GoPro 11 black with Mediamod, and I find it great with good light, but rubbish in los light situations. Three weeks ago I received my Ace Pro 2, after 1 month waiting for it, and I can say I’m absolutely surprised for its quality and ease do use. Totally agree with your comments.
I thought it would be fun to do! Hopefully, the comparisons are helpful and make it easier for everyone to figure out which action camera suits them best since each one has its own strengths and weaknesses.
And another thing... why didn't you give marks for the weight of the camera? After all, these are action cameras often mounted on helmets. Weight matters.... you can smell sponsorship from this comparison.
Under good lighting conditions, the GoPro is clearly the winner for me. Delivers the most natural-looking image, and its 8:7 aspect ratio makes it ideal for post-cropping-an important feature for action shots
they had production issues over a month, you could not even order it from their site at all. Rumours where that the first batch had some fogging issues on the lens. Usually if product just sells and is out of stock, they still keep selling and give you approx date when you will get it. In this case the selling was unavailable for a whole month at least.
Im sorry ma dude... i really don't like the comparison. Just feels like a real showcase how cool the Ace Pro2 is compared to the others. The whole color section is really weirdly graded. Just rlly feels like a paid video overall. Not a Gopro fanboy (boi did they messed up with past cameras) neither a hater on insta360. Just doesn't feel neutral in some segments.
Feel the same way... When Insta360 came on top and the other 2 were a tie, Insta360 got 2 points while the others got 0.5 point, but when GoPro came on top, a full point was awarded to the other two... If it is a 3 point system, it should be consistent all across and not used randomly to favor one over others!
I think the go pro has the best color. I have seen other footage in comparisons and there is no yellow hue. It depends entirely on your settings you start with which each camera.
Hi great video, new subscriber , question, the Insta 360 Ace Pro 2 with the screen can you use wireless mics or do you need a media mod like the GoPro, looking for set up for gardening channel, Steve
idk but it seems that Ace Pro 2 on some review has just bizarre colors, sharpness in normal daylight conditions is good but in low light look like it's out of focus, unable to get proper exposure underwater and 8k is just a gimmick you want to use only when you move slowly or zoom. Then on all paid videos Ace pro 2 has no flaws whatsoever, it's just perfect in all situations. Then after release they stopped selling them without any notice, like they did not even know when they would have stock. Due to these inconsistencies I went for OA5, had multiple gopros before. It has good features but also lacking in others, gopro always had good image on daylight scenes where the image pops neatly and low light timelapse was great. OA5 HDR image looks dull, sure editing that in post with LUT helps but it still is not quite the same.
You must have every action cam under the sun lol .can you recommend a good cheap starter cam I need something that has time lapse and WiFi I'm on a budget
Wow 😃 this is the best comparison ever, The way of your explanation help us lot, You explained every small detail which was very easy to understand.. Thanx For This wonderful comparison video. Lots of ❤ From India 🇮🇳
That's a very well made comparison. Image quality and reliability is top prio though. I don't like this artifical looking HDR at all and unfortunately this spreads out like a plage on action cams, smartphones etc. even drones. I've seen some really awful AcePro 2 footage elsewhere so I'm surprised Action 5 seems to be the worst here. Maybe Insta had some firmware update since launch (you're late, but maybe that's another good thing instead of all these day 1 RUclipsrs). I definitely noticed HDR looks worse on Action 5 than an Action 4, so maybe people shouldn't follow the hype but are safe to keep the previous generation AcePro 1 and Action 4.
I completely agree! I am not a fan of the HDR trend on everything these days-phones, action cameras, and even drones. The overly sharp look and fake colors just are not my style. I much prefer footage that looks natural and softer.
Thanks for this video comparison. Well done. So clearly the ace pro 2 wins in many categories, but my question is the low light performance. If you look at eg 12:29 or 12:30 in the video, the ace pro 2 color low light looks more yellowish....also eg compared to the action 5. So which camera gives the best real color? Is it still the ace pro 2 although it looks more yellowish? And would you recommend upgrading from the ace pro to the ace pro 2?
Which action camera is your favorite? I'd love to hear why, share your thoughts below!

Hey! I have had no overheating issues with the Ace Pro or Osmo, but I have had the GoPro overheat a few times.
Since I love hiking, battery life is my biggest concern. Running out of power in the wild is a real hassle, so I’d go with DJI.
You can grab the extra battery combo for the ace pro for $20 that doubles the time.
Got my hands on the ap2 when it was launched and I was pretty happy with it. Great comparison!
Thank you. Definitely think the AP2 is the best all rounder!
Can you do best settings for action 5 pro 😊
Working on it as we speak!
Great comparison. All the side-by-side shots really made it, and a good scoring system.
Good job Matthew! this is the video we've been waiting for!
Thank you, really hope it helps!

As a professional director, I actually prefer the footage from DJI and GoPro. They handle white balance better in complex lighting conditions.

I love dji action 5❤❤
Interesting comparisons here... love the point system you used to grade them!!
I thought it would be fun to do! Hopefully, the comparisons are helpful and make it easier for everyone to figure out which action camera suits them best since each one has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Thank you for the video with narration in Portuguese
I personally prefer the Action Pro 5

Looks like all have their individual strengths so it's difficult to choose the best or top producer.
Yeah, each one has its pros and cons! I definitely think the top two to choose from are the DJI Osmo Action 5 and the Insta360 Ace Pro 2.
I haven't seen the insta ace pro 2 anyware available to buy, amazon doesn't have it, ebay doesn't have it
It was out of stock almost everywhere for a while, but it looks like it's back in stock on Insta360's own website now!

After the quality from One R 1 Inch, i dont Trust Insta360. But the footage from the ACE 2 Pro looks very well.
Hey if I have ace pro 1 since launch day, should I get the dji as extra cam? 😊

Ace pro fan boy. Biased review 😂
As a DJI fan boy, I'm disappointed by DJI action 5 pro

Insane price for the macro lens 😂😅
Definitely too expensive for the accessories!

Insta Ace Pro 2 is Better !😉
Good comparison but i buy gopro13.
Love how you grade them from each categories, looks like ace pro 2 wins overall!
Thought it would be a bit of fun to award points for each category!

the zoom part got me intrigued, the ap2 is a lot sharper but it's not a optical zoom?
The AP2 crops in on the 8k footage, meaning you still get a 4k resolution.
Thank You Williamm 🙂💙👍Insta360 Pro 2👍
