Pretty scary night. My house shook from thunder multiple times, dogs were going restless, flashes would lit up entire room. I'm not used to this kind of weather, lol. It does look beautiful though
I've lived in this area for 21 years now. I have never had that many close call strikes. We had 8. No separation from the light and the thunder. Usually it has a cracking sound, last night it would have a double boom. Like two bombs going off. It shook the house.
There should be a lot more if the dust keeps kicking up more. Hopefully we don't get into the dustbowl effect, but if we did you could probably see lightening in the day on a clear sky. That static electricity build up and discharge can be pretty potent. Hope those power transformers are well-insulated >_>
Absolutely terrifying is more like it. I'm in Taylorsville. The lighting lit up the house and the thunder shook the house. Scary!!!!
