This level is probobly one of the only levels where I felt bad for the suspects other than Brisa Cove. The music, especially the part with the piano really goes well with the level and really gives it a sad, depressing feeling. Especially when you take account that the brothers aren't really "bad" like the other enemies in the game. They're just really doing it to survive and support their own mother dying of cancer.
Yeah this level was the only one that really hit hard, I wish the brothers would surrender more easily. The music at the end when you get to the attic and see all the machining tools it really is a different feeling, and the small environmental story telling bits where you can see their medical bills and how far in debt they are makes you feel for their actions.

When FISA tell you to shut the doors on the women in the spider's shipping container it fucking sucks. They're cold as fuck, probably haven't eaten in days and now I have to watch as the doors slowly close back on them.

@@SneefyQuafflesdo they say that in 1.0's port hokan? i looked at the TOC legacy files (OLD TOC possibly before adam update) say that line ("women need to stay where they are, close the doors) but idk if i can find anything on regular TOC
@@helloiamzenithA similar line does play, however it’s a FISA agent who tells Judge to shut the container door with the women inside, “otherwise he’s interfering with a federal investigation.”

As someone who grew up in an Asian family with two brothers close to the coast with financial struggles. This hit super close to home for me.
This level was just sad. I felt bad at the end of it. I did my best to avoid bloodshed but I ended up having to kill 2 of the 3 brothers. Now the surviving brother is going to prison for a long time where he won't be able to take care of his parents and his brothers are dead

blame the crap suspect AI, if they actually had stronger lowing morale and no wall hacks then you could have role played AND not killed any people
How do I get this map
I didn't really pay attention to this level's enemies my first time through. I was just kind of going through the motions. It was only through subsequent playthroughs I realized I was basically killing an entire family. I was a state sanctioned home invader giving every member of this family a choice between death or several years behind bars. This level, in my opinion, is more controversial than the Nightclub or College level. In those levels, you can justify your lethal force under the rationalization of counter-terrorism or whatever. Here, I just got real life reminders of no-knock raids resulting in people getting shot by the cops b/c the occupants of the house thought they were under threat of being robbed. While this isn't exactly that same kind of situation, I couldn't help, but feel the same kind of sickness.

A shame there's very little maps like this, I'm glad it made the cut
This is really the only level in the game that makes you feel like a piece of shit. Every other level has a valid justification for lethal force, but this level is essentially a no-knock raid on a struggling family with a dying mother. It feels like a genuine failure rather than an "awe shucks" when you take out a suspect, and i wish more levels in the game had this kind of emotional impact. Still, i do love the game and look forward to whatever theyve got cooking up for it in the future
this is the only map that brought me to tears as soon as i found out the mother had cancer, and the 3 brothers sold weapons illegally just to take care of her, if the suspect ai was better, we could have actually roleplayed this out, instead of making me shoot their heads and then having to find out the lore. we need more maps like this.
Playing commander mode gave me the briefing before hand practically telling me the situation before I played the mission, though finding out through environmental storytelling has much more weight.
The only mission, where I've used non-lethal weaponry...
Believe it or not I've done almost every run now using non lethal weapons, difficult but fun

One of the better levels in the game, the OST is fittingly grim.

You kind of feel like the bad guys on this one, even if you non leathal all the sons, the money will be confiscated and they will still go to jail. And I dont think that wellfare is doing all too good in the ready or not universe.
I think the electric buzzing noise that fades in and out of the track is supposed to symbolize a medical machine.

The enemies acting like aimbots, along with the civilian mother who had called the police running on sight, taints the map.
Only mission where i specifically kitted my entire AI team with beanbag shotguns.
