- Finally settled in! This was a much-requested video, and I’ve never done this kind before so it took a minute to put together. Hope it makes sense and sorry for the mess (and sorry for saying sorry so much!) I’m going through the list of requests and there are more videos on the way! 😁 - Andrew Drilon

Man the guy really love art and what he does got shimmery / watery eyes when talk about these stuff . Look so happy kinda envious .
It's difficult to do a job that you like so much but there are no better fortune probably. Wish you the best bro ! 😎
You are such an interesting person! It’s easy to tell how much you love art, thank you for sharing that art with us. I think that you deserve a huge following. So much of that is luck and algorithm. Don’t let it reflect on the quality of what you’re making. Please keep putting content out!
Thank you so much for the sweet comment. Really appreciate it. More videos on the way! 😁🙏🏼
omg you have everything a person would need in there 😲
Yeah
Cool studio. Thanks for inviting us in :)
Any time! Thanks for being here! 🙏🏼🙂
A small tip weight does fluctuate a lot, that’s why I would recommend weighing in once a week and do a monthly average it a lot more accurate and not so stressful for your head👍🏽
Appreciate the recommendation! I've made a lot of progress in the last month and weigh ins have been really encouraging, but it's good to keep in mind fluctuations. Been getting better at eating healthier and enjoying exercise! 😁
This is such an amazing workspace! Thanks for name dropping everything; there's a lot of stuff I need to check out later. Also, I had no idea that Batman/Dylan Dog is in English now!
That was great!! ❤
What an awesome setup! Thanks for the tour, glad I found your channel ❤
Welcome! Thank you for watching! 🙂
So awesome! Thanks for the inspiration and showing us around! Lovely and fun space! I am jealous!! Hehe xD
You are so welcome! It's not the most polished setup but I find it quite inspiring! Thank you for watching! 😁
Love the tour. I get you. Don't worry about it being slightly disorganised. It's a creative space, a place for you to be excited and inspired to work in. Somewhere to escape to basically. I also know of many artist studios who don't display any of their own work. Many of whom have been in the business 20-30 years plus. It's about reference, and as you said jump starting the creative process.
Look forward to the next video and seeing more!
Nice Studio! Love to see it!
Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏼😁
Looking forward to seeing it in person.
Loved seeing the book collection!👌🏾
Yay! Thank you! I'm a total bibliophile so the collection just keeps growing!
Awesome stuff kababayan!
Love the whole setup! I recognize some of those graphic novels and zines you've gotten at festivals, good picks!!!
Got to say I came across this and immediately subscribed!! Seeing different artist's workspace and also interests are amazing to know. Awesome video!!
Welcome aboard! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! 😁
You are so freaking cool man!
Thank you so much! Appreciate the kind comment! 😁👊🏼
Great video Kuya! Thanks for sharing your studio with us and good luck with your journey into becoming one of the comicbook greats.
Thanks for watching and for the kind comment! 🙏🏼😁
Love your videos.
Glad to hear that! Thanks for watching! 🙂
WOW
I just discovered your channel and it's great. By the way, the study is incredible ;)
2:50 always liked that glass desktop
Cool
Cool comic
Thank you!! 😁
Peeping that Ghost Machine!
It was such a fun book. Also picked up all 3 number ones this week (Geiger, Rook, Redcoat) and they're all beautiful, fun books to read!
I like your beanie !
Thank you! It's my favorite beanie! 😁
Amazing Studio! Where did you get it ring lamp?
Thank you! I ordered it online from this company (www.shopcanvas.co). Warning: it's a little pricey, but for me it's been totally worth it.
@@Comicbooker thankyou!
🎉
Galing! Anyway what do use for camera for video recording?
Fun video. What type of scanner and printer is that?
It's the HP Officejet Pro 7740! 😁
Its so refreshing to see a contemporary comic book artist that actually reads comics!
Love that X - Men corner box sticker. Where did you get it?
I got it from an indie artist at Flamecon 2023. I'm afraid I don't remember their name, but I'll find out when I got back this August because I love this sticker too (and they have alternate versions!)
@@Comicbooker I did find a similar sticker on Etsy. So you may want to take a look there if you are still interested.
Man I don’t know why but I just can’t get going on the iPad. I guess I need to spend more time on it but I just love pen/pencil to paper. I even got the paper like screen cover and it’s still not the same. 🤷🏿♂️
Omg pen and paper are amazing and nothing will ever replace that. I like to think of the iPad as its own medium with the slippery glass surface being part of the terrain. Ultimately you gotta go with whatever tool gets you the most hyped to make art. ☀️👊🏽
Where do you get from that table? someone please
I ordered it off Amazon! The original listing is gone but this is the closest I could find: (a.co/d/0lDIUti) 😅
Can you tell us more about the printer
I would get some from stuff from Amazon to help clean up a little
Agreed! Definitely on my to-do list! 😁
@@Comicbooker awesome,then look amazing
Sick beanie. Where did you get it?
Got it probably around 2021 at Midtown Comics in NYC. It was the last one on the rack. It's a says Marvel/New Era on the tag; not sure if it's still available somewhere. 😅
@@Comicbooker hey thanks for the info, will have to hunt it down. Very entertaining video btw!
Which place are you from ? Can you tell me Tips about how to Draw Comic Characters. 😊
I'm from the Philippines, born and raised! 🇵🇭 As for tips: I recommend drawing from life and studying the greats. Also check out some of my other videos where I cover in-depth process at length! ✌🏽🙂
@@Comicbooker What's your Favourite Comic Marvel or Dc and Favourite Superhero ? 🤔😎🤗 I love Philippines people. 🙏👍
@@user-wo5vw9bb5m it changes every week, so it's hard to choose! Right now, I really like Cyclops and Superman! You?
@@Comicbooker For me is iron man and thor from MCU and Batman and superman from DCU but i like MCU the most. 😎🙏👍☺
Hey" what up ? How u doing ?
Hey! Were you just at Saskatoon expo by any chance? Not trying to sound creepy or anything lol just wondering!
I wasn't! Haven't left New York in months. Maybe it was my doppelganger! 😅
you're videos are so inspiring im 13 rn and one to make a comic I have a matchbook so I dont rly know how my brother lets me use procreate on his iPad for 10 mins once a week but then lit will take a long time to finish do you have any ideas
Yes! I suggest you get your own sketchbook and work it out on paper. All you need is a pencil and eraser (and inking tools if you have any.) Even with all the tech I have, I still draw traditionally because it's the fastest and easiest way to work. Most of my early comics were done on paper and I just scanned them in later! 😁
@@Comicbooker ty ill start after school today
canvas lamp? several hundred dollars?
It looks great but need organizers tubs ,hooks and shelves .
Great ideas! Definitely want to refine the space moving forward. Lots of little tweaks I can make moving forward to optimize the space 😁
Hey there! I see you've got a lot of talent, but I can't help but notice there's nothing on your walls that screams 'you'. Not a single original piece or even a poster. It kinda seems like you're chasing after everyone else's ideas and not giving your own the spotlight they deserve. You've got the skills, no doubt, but maybe it's time to channel some of that energy into creating something that's all yours. Just a friendly piece of advice from someone who believes in your potential. Keep at it!
Thanks for the thoughtful comment! I don’t think I dwelled on them much but I have a couple of my oil paintings there and a postcard for my first book (which won a big award the year after.) That’s enough for me, since I’m looking at my work all the time when I’m making stuff. I’m always chasing my own ideas, don’t worry! Just the type of artist to get energized by the works of fellow artists! 😁
Woow. You have. A good sort of. Material. I'm messy. Toon. But. I'll get. Cleaned up. Soon.
